    Hi... just watched this vid so late to comment, but I always used the aloe gel straight from the plant and never had little bits of white pulp in my hair! But then I thought I would change it up and blend it and bam what a nightmare picking out those lil bits !!! So its the blending of the aloe without straining it afterwards that caused that, not the added extracts. Love your content and new subscriber.

    • @Chris-oo7lr
      @Chris-oo7lr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You can try blending aloe vera gel, straining it and then adding pure raw honey and a mix of oils (I use avocado/almond/black castor and olive oils) infused with Indian powders and plants (I use amla/cassia/brahmi powders and fenugreek seeds and let that infuse for two to three weeks). I make a good batch that lasts me about 6/8 months and use this oil mix, whenever I need to use oil.
      The aloe vera gel, honey and oil mix does woooonders to the hair and scalp! Thickness, shine, growth in places you never knew your hair could grow. I got inspired by Naptural85 aloe prepoo and CurlyProverbz hair grow oil tutorials and did a mix of their recipes adding other things. It is BOOOOOMB!!

    Hey girl! I love your videos and have been following your advice of keeping hair in mini twists for length retention. However, I get a lot of breakage sometimes when unraveling my mini twists (I redo them every 3-4 weeks). This happens because I will get a knots like 2 inches towards the the of a twists and can’t split the twist so I may be ripping the hair even when trying to be gentle. 😩 Does this happen to you at all? If not, how can I avoid this?

    • @Cattitude369
      @Cattitude369 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Experimentation is kind of the only way. You can start by finding someone with healthy hair that has a similar texture, density, and issues/complaints. Mine are What lies beneath the weave (or wig) & Kimmaytube here on YT. Products can be tough. Took me like 10 years before I found a staple spritz (Oyin Greg Juice) and detangler (Beautiful Textures tangle taming leavein condish). Still figuring out shampoo and condish but I must have a clarifying shampoo and products that are acidic pH (4 to 6) as alkaline stuff made my hair rough and brittle. I also like creams vs straight oils/butters (but still use them for my ends).
      Also, I found breaking it up into categories to tackle helped - 1. Products 2. Techniques and tools (I love stretching by blowdry or do african threading, using wide seamless combs, tackling hair in sections when detangle or wash, misting hair with water or spritz before handling, making sure my scalp is clean and keeping condish away from it). 3. Best styles - I like curlers or updos. I also have 2 to 3 go-to easy styles for when I have limited time or am lazy. I keep a high quality human hair wig when I need a break or during summer (braids and cornrows were damaging for me plus I can snatch it off after work since I don't glue it 😂) 3. length of time I could go before washing, detangling, trimming, re-styling, etc. to avoid severe tangles and shrinkage, which caused lots of breakage and frustration. I also love 100% silk products (bonnet and pillow case).
      Sorry for the lengthy post but hope it helps and good luck 😘

      Indigenous Strandz Wow! Thats amazing. And here I am trimming mine every 3 months. No more! I’m learning a lot from you, so I’ll definitely be incorporating more of your hair regimens in my life style to make my hair more healthier and longer. Thanks!

    The white residue comes from the aloe. If you blend it, you have strain it to get the solids out.
