I’ve watched a lot of Deftones reaction videos, but I’ve never seen anyone just get it so completely!
I love how Chino uses his voice as an actual instrument and takes advantage of it's full potential. His voice moves differently for certain.

Deftones album White Pony cover-to-cover as a whole artistic piece is still very good. One of the best complete albums ever produced. Trust me. It's very different to anything at the time, before, or since. But listen to it in one sitting. It's so good.

As he finished complaining that it wasn’t metallica or whatever, a big group of girls came from across the room to give me some love for the song and the guy’s face just got so confused. As they were hugging and kissing me, I looked at him and said, “what were you saying, sir ?”

Hello Yuliya, happy Sunday! I remember when WP was released in the summer of 2000, it was a slow burn for me until I heard this song..........afterwards I jumped in with both feel! I think one of their parallels that fancy your taste here is they have this new wave Depeche Mode/Inxs vibe mixed with hard rock & heavy metal. Certainly They don’t sound like metal here but those influences can be traced back in previous albums.
This song is so good on many levels.......groove, emotion, drive, space & sensuality. There’s something special about this band, so unique the way the blend melodies & heaviness with such romance!
Deftones had a strong presence in my life from the age 16 until my mid 20’s, extremely essential as one of my forms of therapy. I just knew they had spoke to me in a way few other bands could.......when you know you just know! I urge you to listen to Knife Party...........probably my favorite on White Pony besides Passenger! Still love the first 2 albums best but this was a breakthrough that put them in another level. You should really listen the the Diamond Eyes album, it’s return to form, You’ve seen the butcher is pure bliss!

I've also learned a little French, Italian and Japanese. And I also dabbled with Norwegian and Arabic, because I taught English as a foreign language and it always helps to know some basics of the students' first languages. My dad was fluent in Russian and French though. Smart guy! 😁
