I was litterally shouting before when i saw ur video. Im really intrested in astronomy and astrophotography,I’m 11 years old and I’m wondering, how to you memorize space? How do you know where everything is located, can you give me some tips? Thank you!😅😅
Simply fantastic! What a device and what a night sky, I am so jealous. I live in the Netherlands and we do not have that much clear skies, tonight however is looking good. Cold nights are often the best ones, I will setup my refractors 102/1100 and a 102/500, I am only a visual skywatcher, but I always get impressed looking to the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and the vague nebula that actually is the Andromeda galaxy. Looking to another entire galaxy is so unreal! So cool to discover details in starclusters as well, the 7 sisters are always getting my attention as well. Maybe one day I will start astrophotography, but for now looking with my own eyes is more than OK. Great channel!
Excellent captures and processing. A dedicated guide scope vs a duo camera guiding comparison video would be great. What's your bortle skies? What was your RMS numbers like with the duo? Thanks for sharing.
FYI, all is not lost! you can fix Orion’s core with hdr composition in pixinsight. Take a bunch of very short exposures (around 10s) and then combine. TH-cam has a bunch of instructional videos of this process with this exact target. Good luck and clear skies!
Hi Damon, love your channel. Also studied at Loogerberooga many years ago ;-). Just a small question, do you use any filters with this camera/telescope setup? Cheers/m
If think that looks good Go MONO and have your mind blown!! I switched to a ZWO 6200mm MONO 2 years ago and while it is more work it produce stunning picture with amazing detail at full 62mp without a Bayer matrix downgraded the pixel count!
Why do is see an 3D Effekt when u are zooming in in the pictures? I know it's not an movie just still frames but I could swear I see some kind of 3D optics happening. Can someone explain Plz?
That patent expired many years ago, this ZWO duo is just a marketing fad for ZWO fanboys. ZWO is just the Apple of AP - overpriced shiny toys for fanboys.
@@barkatthemoonlunatic1715 I know Astrosteff and he does infact do astrophotography, i also happen to agree with him about the processing skills of damon are actually bad. The first thing what suggests his processing skills are bad are gradients, they can be REALLY easily removed with graxpert or DBE/ABE in pixinsight. Secondly clipped image on the horsehead and again it's really easy to avoid by just not stretching the black point too much and removing gradients. Finally green noise on the plaides image. I mean spending like 5k+ on a rig and getting these kinds of images is just embarrasing, i'm not saying they are bad but just pointing out the mistakes he makes in processing
@@barkatthemoonlunatic1715 Agree with AstroSteff, I've been doing AP for about a year and can get better results. Some basice steps were skipped even with limited time on target.
@@barkatthemoonlunatic1715 Nah he can definitely work on his processing and getting more exposure time his targets. I like his channel but for all of the astrophotography content that he produces he should work on the more technical parts of the hobby as well.
You had me at the finder scope included! YOU HAD ME AT THE FINDER SCOPE INCLUDED!! I WANTS!!!! 🤩😍🤯
🎶My mind is telling me no, but my body, my body's telling me yes🎶
Amazing shots. I'm envious.
Good to be back on here :)
@Damon Scotting Amazing video! What Bortle sky you captured these magnificent Astro photos?
"Magnificent" ???? Average would be my opinion.
Awesome pictures!

try the pc version of stellarium
I kind of went out with my telescope and used one of those night sky apps. After a couple of days, i had the April skies memorized
Honestly its the same as anything else, like knowing locations on a map in a video game, with enough time you just memorize it
comes with experience tbh
@@spritecranberry9664thanks, i dont have a pc tho :(
Thank you!
Beautiful pictures 🌟
I'm REALLY excited to see what can you see with the camera

Very nice review. Watch the ASIAIR location on the mount, cables can snag…I know from experience. Clear skies and thanks
Thanks for another fantastic video Damom!

Beautiful
I now have expensive taste AAAAAAAAAAA MY WALLET!!!
Hi Damon, love your channel. Also studied at Loogerberooga many years ago ;-). Just a small question, do you use any filters with this camera/telescope setup? Cheers/m
hi damon - need guidance to purchase this kit & rig
Thanks!
Stunning and would love to buy for kids but my worry is that investment in all the kit would end up wasted when/if they lose interest.
Where did you stay in Tenerife? I've been looking for somewhere to book for a dark sky week for a while now.
Lovely
is planetary photography also possible with this setup? like rings of saturn
Happy Earth day! ❤ 🌍 🎉
Lol… It’s not the camera. It’s his location. On top of a 10,000ft mountain, a Polaroid camera would look awesome;-).
So how big of an image circle do you need for the guide sensor to be of use?
What offset and gain did u do?
SOunds neat.
what location did you film this at?

Sorry beginner here, why do you need a guide scope if you have an ASAIR?
to guide. The ASIAIR is just a mini PC and software. It cant make the tracking better without some sort of way to know where the telescope is pointed.
Love it ❤🎉
Finder/tracker included?! It's a bargain at that
Era for guide scope has ended sir plz check for Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory
not in the same league
As far as astrophotography goes, that thing is some outrageously overpriced garbage
I wish it was priced below $2k

That can happen when there’s high contrast between the black of space and the gas in the nebula or galaxy
Doesn't SBIG have a patent on this?

niice
Camera looks great, but ZWO FF80 not so much - 5:12 lot's of green and blue hue on start to the right :/
Camera is not at all special, just a Sony IMX571 sensor as used in all the other brands out there.
1st view and like
👍👍👍
can you try out a kid telescope to see if its good or not
HIII
Isn't color cameras worse for astrophotography
they bring out the beauty of space much better than black and white does, but black and white cameras capture the detail better
cheese
🫵=👍
Clearly you've never tried a 2400. 😆
Broo, you gotta get better at editing! I don't want to be mean, but the images are below average, for your circumstances...
If only everyone could editing their photos as well as the ones you shared. oh wait. u have none.
Loooool

If I had a spare $6,000 I’d be all over this setup. I’m being honest, the quality of these images are what I’ve always strived for.
