@@NorthwestSawyer very small Doug Fir. Lots of big Norway spruce, but they are knotty, and the k other are super hard. Causes blade dive in every knot.
Thank you we have had a commercial wood manufacturing business in the family for about 50 years. It is neat to see you do things. We build over 1200 products and mill our own wood. It is fun to watch the scale you do it in it makes good entertainment.
Congratulations a fine shed you have built, no more the water running down the back of your neck, or the sun burning it either. Plus will keep the weather off your all important mill, very important. Enjoy your hard work.
The band-saw mill has some danger - much less than the exposed, circular blade mills I expect. But that log pile! Not a place that leaves any room for lack of attention. Thanks for the video!
I was just looking at ordering an LT35 from wood-mizer on monday down in Wood village. I am new and learning what I can from the local guys, headed out to Willamina to drop some fir and mill it up brother.
Thank you, Jim. There’s light at the end of the tunnel. Their new manufactured home is set to be delivered around the end of next month. They’ll be having a new septic system installed around then too. I’ll be filming as much of it all as I can. I also plan to do a “one year after the fire” video.
You certainly have some big diameter logs sitting on your log deck. I will say milling 1/2" thick boards is certainly looks tedious. Good thing for Accuset and power feed on the mill.
The Mt. Helens pond (Lake) has maintained the fill with Doug Fir sinse the 80's. Have you considered whether they have rotted? How about asking to ery one?
Those logs would probably be worse than milling drift wood as the ash is very abrasive. Although, if I was offered one I think I’d have to mill it for the sake of history 😬
hey, my 35 had that same sqeek with the log turner. upon investigating i found the pin had broke the end cap weld. Im not saying yours just needs some greese, but its worth checking.
You must have exacting standards when your fire wood is 10x better than big box store R' us.... I don’t know what I was thinking with that log. No ill effects 4 days later. My mom has had both shots and had zero problems. My neighbors should be thanking me. I built a sawmill shed and now it doesn’t rain!
Love your videos, question for ya I,m trying to decide whether to order a lt35 or a lt40 not sure if the extra money would be worth it,do you wish you would of got the 40? Thanks Charlie
Hey I have a quick question, how would you recommend I sell some cedar that is being cut down in my backyard, it’s only 3 trees so it’s not much but do you have any recommendations?
@@NorthwestSawyer I am looking at possibly ordering either the lt35 or an lt40 wide this fall. Momma said I had to pay some bills off first though. You know how it goes. HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE.

I see an accident waiting to happen with that stack of logs next to your saw. Either they will roll and take out your vertical support beams or you will break a leg trying to get a log off the pile. Please do something different than what you're doing.
Makes me wince when I see those big logs sitting uphill, as you said if one rolls then it will snap the new shed post off. And that is probably the best case scenario.
I love to watch videos of milling, so thank you.
My pleasure!
Very cool. I said it before, I'll say it again. We need some nice clear Doug Fir like that.
Do you have Doug Fir out there, Chuck?

Good afternoon North West Sayers. Nice to have another interesting video. The mill looks new and the tractor
Thank you. It’s still the same stuff I’ve had for a few years.
I’m so glad all your hard work has paid off...it’s looking great 👍🇬🇧

It’ll be coming once he’s finished. It should be soon!
Nice looking “firewood”! You must be the reason for all of the sun now that you got your mill covered...
I think you’re right. I have an on-site milling job tomorrow and it’s supposed to rain 😂
good to see you back at work sawing , and under the roof
Me too!😬
Nice job! Could watch milling all day long! 👍
Stay tuned! I have a quarter-sawn oak video coming!

Awesome job, great looking sawmill shed! Hope vaccine goes good. Some of the best sawmilling on TH-cam! Stay safe, God bless

It is nice to have a roof over your head just feels safe . Nice job enjoy your day out getting your shot :-)
Setup is looking good, Jason. It's great to see you sawing again. Take care.

Thank you, Bill!
I know it’s work for you but I find it relaxing to watch.
One thing about this Jason is you will never be short of firewood or kindling, may even be a sideline part of the operation.
I was actually cutting up a bunch for firewood today!
nice tree cabin!!! and yes we enjoy the new roof also.
Good morning your channel is very awesome
Thank you very much!
WOW!!! Jason
I’ll be making a video of the finished tree house soon!
Very entertaining Thanks for taking time to video the mill and how that will rotate those logs to cut the other side . Amazing. Thanks. Craig. Pa.
Thank you, Craig!
Time to go to costco and get some of those stringable 4’ shop LED lights for your new covered shop to mill into the evening.
I have some 18,000 lumen lights I’m going to hang soon.
I wanted to see the amazing tree house
He wants me to wait until he gets the last of the paneling up. I’ll do a complete video on it then. It’s really awesome.

It made the rain stop! I should be getting thank you cards from my neighbors 🤓

I’m going to have to get an excavator here to move those logs. They’re locked together pretty good.
I like your video effects, thanks
for some reason i always think of the Partridge Family when see that building in the background. ;)
I can’t bring myself to paint over it!🤣

Like the camera mount on the cross beam of your shed! Only a true giant would have issues with that! 😆
BTW...good on you for getting that vaccine!

Hey Jason, when you fill an order for 2x6 do you saw cut to 2" x 6" or something undersized like finished dimension lumber?
I let the client decide. I recommend undersized if they plan on using hardware like joist hangers but ultimately they decide.
Love your videos, question for ya I,m trying to decide whether to order a lt35 or a lt40 not sure if the extra money would be worth it,do you wish you would of got the 40? Thanks Charlie
If you can swing it, get the 40. I was stretching thin at the time to get my 35 but I wish I had a bigger mill now.
Hey I have a quick question, how would you recommend I sell some cedar that is being cut down in my backyard, it’s only 3 trees so it’s not much but do you have any recommendations?
Try Facebook marketplace or list them on any of the sawmill pages there.
If you had it to do over, would you still go with the lt35 or would you try to swing it and step up to an lt40?
At the time I was already swinging hard to get the 35. Had I known how much work I’d get, I’d have gotten a 40 or 50 wide.
