Absolutely love the Golden Casket .. loved the last album .. but this one has so much more creative and thought put behind it .. I’d put this one up there with the 2004, 2007 albums.. and the version of Tiny Cities Made of Ashes I just saw live last week.. wow.. I wish They had that one on iTunes
The fact this is recorded in 2021 and looks like it was recorded in 2009 only makes it all the more fitting.

Grossly underrated band
Just saw them in Boston. Incredible show. Their performances have gotten so much better since they've lightened up on the preshow partying. Thanks Isaac. Love ya. Keep on truckin!!! Dont forget your towel and atlas.
I’m seeing them in dallas in October!! I’m super happy to hear the upward trend on their performances.
The Leader Bank Pavillion show was the best I’ve ever heard them play

Modest has always had very sporadically good and bad shows, and everything in between. The first time I saw them in 2006 at the electric factory in Philly was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Led out with Teeth Like Gods Shoe Shine. So good. Others have been mediocre. Kinda depends on how they’re feeling that day I guess.
@@leahmazdra4520 Did you see them last time they played Dallas? Such a weird show. Isaac lost his ID at the venue and kept asking the crowd to help him find it. Their recent performances seems pretty on point though.
They really went all out on the King Rat performance at the end, I was hoping for a Bukowski when I saw Isaac pull out the banjo, and even though he seemed a little lethargic through it, this was an incredible live performance from these aging titans.

Just went and saw them for the first time EVER 🥰🥰🥰 marymoor park Wa state :) loved growing up around here as a 45 year old .. I’ve seen some absolutely amazing shows :):) MM/ DEATH CAB we’re our 2nd renaissance with amazing local music :) MM had already been around for awhile as well as Death Cab.. but they BOTH came out with amazing records in 2004 that sent them over the top 🤘🏼 funny thing is in a BIGGER FAN NOW .. that I finally got to see Mouse :) strange dude .. which I totally dig him for .. besides PRIMUS.. I can’t think of another band that sounds like this type of sound :) had to share my geeked out Ness .. sorry for the Novel
Could not agree more on Dramamine .. AND their live version of Tiny cities made of ashes gave me goosebumps!! Such a weird , outstanding song .. have had the base and drums for this song as my number one steering wheel set list song lol

You can feel it in the crowd. MM just touches people in a way no other band has. Can only speak for myself really, but I saw it in other people. Just amazing. Cant wait to see them again
they got a lot better in this one than some of the others recent live shows, maybe they found back the old energy, my fav band i wish i could see one of their shows but south america is far place for indie music

Dramamine with a tiny end-splash of Life Like Weeds??! Is this a thing I don't know about or a whoopsie? Either way, I liked it but would've preferred to hear Weeds in its entirety.
Sadly, not a whoopsie. He did it again when I saw them in Brooklyn last week at the very end of Dramamine. It actually broke my heart a little. Free Life Like Weeds, Issac!

They played doin the cockroach mid-set august 6th in Boston
I got to see them once in 2015, Cowboy Dan live was so damn intense. The whole set was perfect.
The played Cowboy Dan in Philly earlier is August and it was sick!

Favorite song on this set list is probably King Rat.. But Dramamine is the one I keep watching over and over.

I'm 26 and I've been listening to Modest Mouse since I was 13, cant say theres ever been a band that's made a bigger impression on me.

Saw them open for REM with Johnny Marr on guitar. Did not play one song I knew. All new material. I know for some of you that’s a great show, but I like to be able to sing along to at least a couple of songs.

The only concerts I’ve ever been to in my entire life was Brand New headlining with Manchester Orchestra playing before them.
And then Brand New and Modest Mouse in Chicago.
It was absolutely amazing.
I was there in Chicago too. Was pretty bummed that BN broke up but was glad I got to see them live at least that one time.

Colin Sexton 👀👀 definitely go do it! You haven’t lived if you haven’t seen them live. I’ve especially heard that they’re reallyyyy outdoing themselves on this tour, and they’re playing songs they haven’t played since ‘97! You could even get the chance to meet them if you hang around the tour bus after the show (I know several who have)

Goddamn I love that song. That would be incredible live. They might tho on this tour! I’ve seen a lot of videos of them playing things they haven’t played in ages, like convienent parking. They played it the other night after not doing it live for 20 years or something. Im also wishing for parting of the sensory

Ben Massarella! From Chicago's very own Califone. Both bands shared a common connection in recording at Brian Deck's former Clava Studios (where I had the pleasure of interning briefly). Califone is the best.

@@logisysmax20 sounds like you hyped it up too much in your head… I’m not saying it looks like the best performance I’ve ever seen by any means but… Not every performer sees a set like the Katy Perry’s of the world. Also issac just isn’t much of a ‘performer’ in the sense I think you mean. Hes a decent writer and a decent guitarist but he hasn’t been high energy at his shows in quite some time. And he’s never been a Bowie or an Iggy Pop waltzin around and crawling on amps… he’s nearly always just standing there, plus the new tunes are a bit more laid back, plus he’s getting older.. what’d you expect?
@@judekristo ive seen him live like 4x. I wasn’t expecting fireworks, but like when he goes hard on a guitar solo, he like swings the guitar and strums it hard. Kind of kneels over while doing it. It’s nothing crazy, but it’s enough to be like “damn, he’s going hard”. This whole tour he’s just stood there at the mic all stiff

I've watched this daily for the past four days and it just keeps getting better. This set is a whole vibe. It gives me a heavy anxiety but I liked it, it what I was supposed to feel. Almost this disassociated sadness and chaos. Every song picked here was kinda poetic justice, heavy irony.
Really a great setlist and show!
