Thanks for posting this - I saw it once before and it had been removed. I've seen them every time they come to New Orleans and this was my favorite show. The setlist and the way he played it was great. This was the last Voodoo I went to before COVID took it out and we really miss the festival!
I got to see then for my birthday in 2018...fucking great show. Front row center, and they played all of those plus 3rd Planet (which is my favorite). Seriously perfect line up. Can't wait to see them this year

The sound is actually pretty great for a live show outdoors with so many parts going on, I think. Much younger me couldn't hardly listen to live recordings. Attending them is completely different. Maybe folks don't have the experience or maybe they're adoring the wrong things. Idk

Made it to Dashboard but I'm done. Isaac is clearly not even trying in the slightest. Just like the last time I saw them live. Had a bad experience around a year ago too but for us the sound was so jacked up people were complaining and laughing at the amount of feedback etc... My dad saw them back during Lonesome Crowded West and couldn't believe how much better that was in comparison to the more recent concert we attended in 2018. Not sure who was in charge of sound but someone needed to step it up and Isaac just seemed tired the whole time.

It's not the band's fault either, they're absolute professionals, it's just Isaac being shitty, which is sad because he's one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time. I don't know what went wrong with him.

He was improvising. It was probably his first time doing that with this song and he'll do better in a later show. Since it was live he didn't have time to learn it.

I rocked this music in a 10gb gel packed MP3 player of an obscure known player. It took a standard 12v charge. Amazing times of splicing wires and worrying about amp loads.

Yeah, the drummer on the left doesn’t do anything, and the old dude on the right plays the shaky thing the whole show, and most of the stuff that he plays is inaudible. If you’re gonna have 3 drummers, actually utilize it well

Check out their 2001 Atlanta show. They're great for small venues/clubs, not massive outdoor shows.
