Refrigerant detector sensors have a finite life. In other words, the more refrigerant they are exposed to, the faster the sensor turns to crap. If the detector doesn't have a method of replacing the sensor (and it isn't the little slotted tip at the end of the whip) you probably don't want to be cranking it up and shoving it into areas that you know will trigger it - especially just for s & gs. Also, they can keep the huge box - they don't impress anyone that actually makes a living fixing a/c, cars, etc. Who has room for a case that big in their box? It's ridiculous. Cut the price $30 and toss it in a vinyl pouch.

I got a drawer with about 5-6 plastic cases, I could throw them out and free up over half the space
Does it work for 410a?
Do you recommend any leak detector tool? I just bought the Icon one and to be honest it doesn't work
