- In this new series, we want to dig deeper into topics you might have questions about. To start, we want to talk about how you can read God's word and understand it better. That starts with finding a Bible that you will actually read. In this video, Pastor Keaton Paul shows off three different Bibles and their features to help you find a Bible that you will enjoy reading.

As a teenager a half century ago, as an every-Sunday Presbyterian, my wise minister told me exactly this: find a Bible that I want to read and cherish it. For me, that was the Thompson Chain Reference; I still love it I also do enjoy the ESV Study Bible, but I find study Bibles too bulky and distracting. I just recently decided to try the NLT and bought a Schuyler copy from Evangelical Bible. I'm loving it! Decided to read it cover to cover, just finished Esther today. The old, familar stories told with a fresh perspective. Best wishes from the Houston-Galveston area!
Thank you for these recommendations, now I have more bibles to buy 😬
One of my most favorite bibles is Crossway ESV heritage. It’s single column but the way the text is setup, it’s very easy to read from for a long periods of time. I couldn’t come up with a better layout. I also love that the text doesn’t go into the gutter.
Dear friends in Christ, please pray for me and the children
❤❤❤❤I love this!!! Read and sniff your Bible!!!
The Bible is a Catholic book ❤️
Hmmmn...Catholics use the Bible but they don't consider it the final authority on anything. Catholics rely on church tradition and church doctrine (anything Pope's may have decreed throughout the centuries - "Cathechism".) as their doctrine.
Scholars disagree.
@@chrisp9500 , for five minutes.
@@chrisp9500 The Bible would not exist in the form in which we have it, had the Catholic Church not determined which letters and manuscript were inspired and which weren't. That's just an historical fact.
@@1974AMDG that is not a fact, it's hear say.
