@dropkicker101 The fact you asked this question proves the Holy Spirit is pressing on you to make that change. Give in to its presence and leading. It will lead you away from it. For me, it started with that desire for change, but I had no power within myself to fight it. Remember, you can't do it by creating rules, Only God can break its power. The more aware you allow the Holy Spirit to be in your life, you'll know you're being encouraged to resist it. The Bible says resist the devil, and he will flee, not maybe, but will flee! Once you stand your ground, God's power and ability will be there to back you up! You got this, brother. James 1:14-15 , James 4:7.

I started reading the Bible daily a year and half ago. I'm more than half way through. I am taking my time reading and studying it as much as I can and also writing down what the Lord speaks to me about. It's been an amazing experience. I pray whoever is reading this to just start a little at a time and start in the new testament with Matthew. Get ready to experience Jesus in so many ways. I realized that once I stopped talking, the Lord has so much to say!!!! Go take your seat at the table with Jesus. He waits for you to sit with Him. He is our teacher and we are His students ❤️

I have a testimony from 2023 when I started reading Bible every day I noticed that my growing anxiety that I had since around 5 years ago when I had my first child, had disappeared almost instantly when I committed to reading Bible every day! I'd struggled with finding time to read Bible every day because of all the chores I had to accomplish daily and I jept putting it off until my anxiety got sky high and I prayed to Jesus and said I have sinned because I haven't been seeking You out first thing daily.. and I started waking up every day before my kids woke up and read Bible and my anxiety was gone! Praise God! He is faithful when we are in obedience to Him 🙌

Hello David, I just wanted to add my own testimony to this. I was a backslider, I struggled a lot with sin in my life. I wouldn't say it destroyed my life or anything like some people have experienced but i lived in constant anxiety, insecurity, and even a couple of bouts of depression. I had a college degree but it ground me down to the point of losing my job. I read the gospel some years ago and I moved to call on the name of Jesus but now I realize there is a lot more to becoming a christian than that. I recently received a study bible from my mother for christmas and I started reading it daily. in the month of January so far I have finished the books of Genisis and Exodus, I have started becoming offended by words, tv, and movies that I have never felt before and my mother told me the holy spirit was working in me. I have been going to church on Sundays and signed up to volunteer at my church as well. The peace God has blessed me with through reading my bible is indescribable and can only be obtained by faith AND trust in God. I am here to confess to any of you, reading your bible will change your life for the better.

I’ve read the Bible every day since 1977, except for sick days I’ve memorized the equivalent of 11 books of the Bible and at 90 years of age I quoted one minute of scripture for every year of my age, which was 90 minutes of memorized the scripture then I quoted 30 more minutes of my poetry that I’ve writtenthy word if I hidden my heart that I might not send against the study to show self approved into God of workmen not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, but your light so shine, they may see your good works and fire, which isn’t all good all
So true, I read the Bible every day and every bad habit I had just fell away. I never realized it until I watched this. I stopped drinking, smoking and every other sin. I didn't realize how far I came. God is great!

This is literally what I experienced, literally everything he spoke of. Prior to reading the word, I seen myself as a decent, God approved Christian. Like, I wasn’t perfect but I believed by treating people how I would like to be treated, not hurting anyone intentionally and believing in God was enough. I grew up in Church and believed in God but it wasn’t until I lost my mom, had a rocky hell of start in my first year of marriage, and dealt with adjusting to being a full time stay at home mom that I literally jumped into the word. I was broken and so depressed it literally felt like that’s all I could do. Truly, after reading consistently God’s word, I started to feel like I had began to develop a personal relationship with God. I went from feeling like a great Godly person, to feeling soooo far away from the image of God’s creation. He started to reveal to me that I never knew who I was, I only knew who I portrayed myself as. God began to reveal to me, why I made certain decisions, where my insecurities came from, the way I actually viewed myself, and how imperfect I truly was. However, I developed a strong sense of things will be ok, and that I would be alright. My desires went from worldly wants, to wanting to be a true reflection of God, a better mom, a better wife, and even person. I wanted every aspect of my life to reflect truth, and I embraced all honesty good or bad. I went from seeing God as lord, where I felt I had to be clean and good prior to approaching him, to seeing him as a father where I knew even if I messed up or fell short, that he still accepted and loved me, and would help and correct me, I welcomed correction , direction, pruning vs feeling like a case of bad luck; I then began to see and feel God as a friend, like I began to fear separation from him, I began to have a deep disdain for all sin, and anything that I knew displeased God displeased me. Like you know family accepts you no matter what usually, but with a friend there are boundaries you have to respect in order to remain in that person’s presence or to remain friends, you can’t deliberately cross a friend and expect to be looked at the same or even forgiven. Though I know God forgives and loves us unconditionally, I still developed a since of friendship in God that I didn’t want to disobey, or live a life not abiding to his word. I notice if I read daily, I have a peace beyond anything I’ve ever been used to. Like things that would usually tick me, or frustrate or even cause me to worry doesn’t overtake me. It pushes me to pray but I remain still and calm spirited. However, if I miss even a few days of reading the Bible I find myself anxious, easily agitated, overwhelmed and bothered. One thing I pray for with reading is the ability to not be burdened by loved ones who I don’t see read the Bible or truly submit to God. When I got saved and started reading, sharing God’s word literally became almost an obsession, it’s literally all I want to talk about. However, I don’t have anyone to talk to that wants to listen, talk or even be into God at the level of my desire. I find myself sort of upset when I since a rejection towards the Bible or even submission to Christ from those that I love. I pray daily for them to be reached, and even with that God revealed to me that no one is too far from the hand of God, and that he loves them more than I could ever, and that me living a life for him, desiring to abide and be a reflection of him, and to love my neighbors and pray for my enemies is all that he needs me to do. With that, I am still and patient, and I constantly say out loud that I trust you Father God in the name of Jesus. He will take care of it all.
I love the Lord and His Word. This is my eight trip trip through the Bible. I have been committed to reading at least 7-10 chapters everyday. Can't get enough. It has been like being a "sponge". The more I read it, the more I need it. Jesus is the Word! Praise God.
This is true. I started last year in November after a break up, I decided to read the word. Even about to share my testimony on my channel. This is what the word has done for me; Faith increased, I share the word, teach it, renewed mind, I trust Gods plan, know my calling etc . Can’t believe it but it’s true
I love the word! I try to read the Bible every day with my partner after dinner, at least 5 days a week. I noticed a change in our lives. I only read for 10-15 minutes each day random chapters of the Bible. I was just thinking tonight how much better again my life would be if I read for 20-25 minutes. God provides everything we need in our lives already. He provides literally everything we need, doesn't matter what it is, food, money, new job, God gives us exactly what we need, nothing more and nothing less. Thank you Lord, please fill others with the Holy Spirit and encourage them to read for 10-15 minutes per day from the Bible.......let them see the change in their lives......it's guaranteed. Amen

I committed to read the Bible all the way through about 6 months ago. Im 51 and got this Bible when i was 18. I am apart of those %s. I feel more at peace and closer to God. I love the Word. I have been reading the Bible, Genesis through Revelation each year since 1980. That practice enabled me to stay close to Jesus during 47 years of a difficult marriage to a man who didn't want to have anything to do with Jesus. About 3 years before his death, he finally found forgiveness in Jesus, but the marriage hardly improved. But God was faithful and I love Him more and more every day.

I LOVE the word!! I’ve tried several times to read the Bible years ago and I could never get past the first couple of pages. A few months ago I got on my knees and asked Jesus to please forgive me for my sins. I repented and asked Him to please save me. Now I can’t get enough of the word. The "Word of GOD" - Is the Alive Word, and the WORD is Jesus as it already says......... Hence the real Word of God is when you get to know him personally - You dont do that through the bible that is thousand years old by other people,,, only some little. You get to know him through knowing him by relationship in Spirit with him through the Holy Spirit in youre daily life in communication...... Thats the "Real WORD". You can be a person that is spirit filled and never have read the bible and still have a closer relationship with Jesus then a theological person who have studied it for 50 years... Hence Jesus attacked the pharisies. Jesus is a living spirit that we communicate through the Holy Spirit.... he is not the "bible" as some kinda "image", that is already a sin. As God has warned us about. "Have no other image besides me[something like that]". And we are Gods children are created as his images and he has now planted Holy Spirit within us to transform our hearts to become more like him. The real way to know Jesus and become like Jesus and walk like him is to - know him, you do this through the holy Spirit that through he communicates, to get you to know the real Jesus that loves you as a son and daughter. Its all about communication and relationship, nothing else, nothing more. Then you can ofcourse read the bible.... But dont think it will change youre life drastically... the real drastic is to know Jesus as an individual in relationship in Spirit.

Every morning I read the Bible out loud for myself and my husband. Although I have read the Bible for years, but reading it out loud, taking one book at a time,we have learned so much more. I will stop at a specific verse and we will discuss it.. it takes us about an hour or a little more, it is so interesting, sometimes I go on for another couple of chapters.. it’s a part of our life and I can’t think of ever stopping. It seems like there is something new each chapter and verse.. always beginning with prayer 🙏 😅❤
All of this is very VERY TRUE! Ever since I had a spiritual experience most recently and got baptized plus reading the Bible..Jesus has made so many changes in my life even though jesus gradually started taking the wheel of my life so much has changed, in wisdom,peace, spreading love and scriptures. When I got saved and started reading, sharing God’s word literally became almost an obsession, it’s literally all I want to talk about. However, I don’t have anyone to talk to that wants to listen, talk or even be into God at the level of my desire. I find myself sort of upset when I since a rejection towards the Bible or even submission to Christ from those that I love. I pray daily for them to be reached, and even with that God revealed to me that no one is too far from the hand of God, and that he loves them more than I could ever, and that me living a life for him, desiring to abide and be a reflection of him, and to love my neighbors and pray for my enemies is all that he needs me to do. With that, I am still and patient, and I constantly say out loud that I trust you Father God in the name of Jesus. He will take care of it all.

I love the Lord and His Word. This is my eight trip trip through the Bible. I have been committed to reading at least 7-10 chapters everyday. Can't get enough. It has been like being a "sponge". The more I read it, the more I need it. Jesus is the Word! Praise God.

I try to read the Bible every day with my partner after dinner, at least 5 days a week. I noticed a change in our lives. I only read for 10-15 minutes each day random chapters of the Bible.
I was just thinking tonight how much better again my life would be if I read for 20-25 minutes.
God provides everything we need in our lives already. He provides literally everything we need, doesn't matter what it is, food, money, new job, God gives us exactly what we need, nothing more and nothing less. Thank you Lord, please fill others with the Holy Spirit and encourage them to read for 10-15 minutes per day from the Bible.......let them see the change in their lives......it's guaranteed. Amen

I love the Word. I have been reading the Bible, Genesis through Revelation each year since 1980. That practice enabled me to stay close to Jesus during 47 years of a difficult marriage to a man who didn't want to have anything to do with Jesus. About 3 years before his death, he finally found forgiveness in Jesus, but the marriage hardly improved. But God was faithful and I love Him more and more every day.

A few months ago I got on my knees and asked Jesus to please forgive me for my sins. I repented and asked Him to please save me. Now I can’t get enough of the word. The "Word of GOD" - Is the Alive Word, and the WORD is Jesus as it already says......... Hence the real Word of God is when you get to know him personally - You dont do that through the bible that is thousand years old by other people,,, only some little. You get to know him through knowing him by relationship in Spirit with him through the Holy Spirit in youre daily life in communication...... Thats the "Real WORD". You can be a person that is spirit filled and never have read the bible and still have a closer relationship with Jesus then a theological person who have studied it for 50 years... Hence Jesus attacked the pharisies. Jesus is a living spirit that we communicate through the Holy Spirit.... he is not the "bible" as some kinda "image", that is already a sin. As God has warned us about. "Have no other image besides me[something like that]". And we are Gods children are created as his images and he has now planted Holy Spirit within us to transform our hearts to become more like him. The real way to know Jesus and become like Jesus and walk like him is to - know him, you do this through the holy Spirit that through he communicates, to get you to know the real Jesus that loves you as a son and daughter.
Its all about communication and relationship, nothing else, nothing more. Then you can ofcourse read the bible.... But dont think it will change youre life drastically... the real drastic is to know Jesus as an individual in relationship in Spirit.

Every morning I read the Bible out loud for myself and my husband. Although I have read the Bible for years, but reading it out loud, taking one book at a time,we have learned so much more. I will stop at a specific verse and we will discuss it.. it takes us about an hour or a little more, it is so interesting, sometimes I go on for another couple of chapters.. it’s a part of our life and I can’t think of ever stopping. It seems like there is something new each chapter and verse.. always beginning with prayer 🙏 😅❤
