Angkor Wat Temple was originally a Hindu Temple but was converted into a Buddhist Temple. The temple is built in Khmer Style which is heavily influenced by Indian architecture. A lot of the statues were illegally cut off in modern times so that they could sold to smugglers.

Me and my mom use to visit a lot of temples all of the time.If I can remember correctly, she always told me to respect the gods with respect as they built those temple to protect us. I use to pray their with my grandmother, at the temple that was near my house, there were statues of rabbits, dragons, dogs, and many more. I’m glad you visited Cambodia.

Eeslam exist and temples and statues of other religions were burned or broken. Few years ago in afganistan tallest Buddha statue was demolished by Taliban.

This ghost cat has came and visited me I think it’s my mom’s old cat who died when I was very young. I heard purring and feel a cat laying on my chest sometimes. Also me and my friends have contacted our past lives and didn’t use a demon board (that’s what I call them) or the rods we got bored and tried contacting them turns out we all knew each other me and my friends were all siblings in our past lives it was destiny for us to meet now :)

There's one other important thing that you missed at that site. There's a carving on the wall of that Temple with a tree growing out of the top of it just like it is today. At the time that Temple was built there were no trees growing out of it. How did they know what the temple would look like in the future??

The temple with the trees over growing the structures is call Ta Prohm, which is also where the film Tomb Raider was shot at.
I think the first was Banteay Srei.
@RayPierreWhit607 she post multiple temples in this short clip that I recognize. But definitely not Bonteay Srei because that structure have red stones.

What is astounding is that Hinduism (and its offshoot, Buddhism) or Sanatan Dharm has survived as the oldest religion in the world despite several and continuous onslaught from the Muslims, Christians and in this case, the Khmer!

I’m pretty sure that some of the decapitated statues are missing heads for a reason. There is a story in Cambodia where the 4 headed Hindu god broke one of the worlds rules, jealousy, and he cut off his head. (Btw I’m a Cambodia in Australia and I’m not Hindu, I’m Buddhist so I’m not sure If I got the story correct.
As per our holy text RAMAYANA the monkeys were an army led by Rama that fought with the demons led by Ravana
I don’t know why this made me feel like crying afterwards. I watched it thinking how I’d love to go there and experience that place and another thought regarding the war against religions she mentioned but then when the short ended, I felt inside like I was about to start crying but my eyes never watered and I don’t feel any reason to cry… just a longing to go there. Lol

A lot of the statues were destroyed and looted from these scared temples. Smuggled into Thailand and sold to museums and private collections all around the world. It’s so sad :( the Cambodian government is trying to get them back but huge museums like the MET refuse

The Angkor wat Temple contains the remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire from the 9th to the 15th century. The person who built the Angkor wat temple was Suryavarman ll. And the god surronding the temple is the Hindu God Vishnu. Apart from the immense and impressive Angkor Wat temple, the Angkor area is full of fascinating temples spread out in the jungle, all different, each interesting in their own way. I do recommend spend several, or many, days exploring the area. For me 2 days was not nearly enough to just scrape the surface.

This is not a negative energy .. this is called positive energy....
I don’t know if this is true for Cambodia. But at least in India, mangrove trees are known to not only cleanse spiritual energy from old temples. They’re also planted at places that have had violent death occur in that area. At least in the particular village, my dad side of the family is from. Apparently the roots of the trees would lead the people who passed away in that sort of violent way to the afterlife.
