The hypocricy of Ridvan really comes through, when he talks about christianity. He could criticise christianity for the same things, he criticises islam for. But he doesnt. As a new revert alhamdelillah, I've learned to differentiate opinion from fact. This goes both ways, non muslims and muslims because as muslims we have our "black sheep" (although they are small in #'s, but exaggerated in media). My own mother understood Islam well after hearing my explaining it to her for 20 years and rejected it because she said she could not leave the religion of her ancestors. I myself believed in Islam for 3 years before I actually took my shahada because I didn't want to change things like listening to music and beautiful fashion, and wine with Italian food and beer with Chinese food and pizza. While I understood full well it was the truth, Satan used my desires against me and it wasn't until I watched my father die that the reality of death and the fear that I would enter the hell fire prompted me to take my shahada, the best decision of my life. It has been 34 years, 20 of which I spent studying in Egypt. You can consult the best scholars in the world and if Allah does not turn your heart you won't accept Islam. We have this tendancy to look back at our pasts and convince ourselves "Yeah, I really did think how I think now", when most of the time we actually thought very differently. I have a one ques... consider 2 cases: 1) a muslim man following his faith religiously, reciting quran, pray to allah etc etc exactly as a believer should do...but at the same time he is not doing something extra ordinary...just living a simple life... 2) a non muslim who is a millionaire and has done lot of charities, free education, free health, free food to a lot of poor families etc etc... whom according to islam/allah will be deserving a better place after death/ in after life ????

As a new revert alhamdelillah, I've learned to differentiate opinion from fact. This goes both ways, non muslims and muslims because as muslims we have our "black sheep" (although they are small in #'s, but exaggerated in media). I respect brother Saajid because he presents his arguments with logic and facts, not mere opinions, he humbles himself and doesn't use foul language. Brother saajid's advice is to talk to a respected well educated scholar of islam, this is important to note, hes telling you "dont take even my word for it". Learn and research from authentic sources like books, not google, not what you hear online or from uneducated people. To you is your belief and to me is mine, i like how brother saajid is respectful and unlike this man he's reffering to (and many other like him like david wood etc..) they just focus on disrespecting islam in the name of "freedom of opinion freedom of speech". My own mother understood Islam well after hearing my explaining it to her for 20 years and rejected it because she said she could not leave the religion of her ancestors.
I myself believed in Islam for 3 years before I actually took my shahada because I didn't want to change things like listening to music and beautiful fashion, and wine with Italian food and beer with Chinese food and pizza.
While I understood full well it was the truth, Satan used my desires against me and it wasn't until I watched my father die that the reality of death and the fear that I would enter the hell fire prompted me to take my shahada, the best decision of my life.
It has been 34 years, 20 of which I spent studying in Egypt.
You can consult the best scholars in the world and if Allah does not turn your heart you won't accept Islam.

lol this is exactly the scenario of my best friend, during high school I taught him about Islam and he affirmed it was the truth and said he knew it inside of him, but he said he could not give up alcohol and therefore he did not want to take the shahadah.

We have this tendancy to look back at our pasts and convince ourselves "Yeah, I really did think how I think now", when most of the time we actually thought very differently. Even people who are Muslims now do NOT have the right to decide to start one day preaching about Islam without actually studying. When Apuss decides to get out of his bubble, and attends an actual institution, spends a few years going through many books and sources, passing the exams, getting recognition by academics, then he can come and say what he wants to say about a certain subject and be confident about it. What I can see is that AP has been brought up and educated as a muslim. Down deep inside in him, he still being guarded from not doing evil as been taught in Islam eventhough he said not seeing the true Islam.

I have a one ques...
consider 2 cases:
1) a muslim man following his faith religiously, reciting quran, pray to allah etc etc exactly as a believer should do...but at the same time he is not doing something extra ordinary...just living a simple life...
2) a non muslim who is a millionaire and has done lot of charities, free education, free health, free food to a lot of poor families etc etc...
whom according to islam/allah will be deserving a better place after death/ in after life ????

This was happening amongst the Prophet's lifetime and back then people were really skeptical at first too. So rejecting Islam is nothing new. But as Muslims we're supposed to call others to Islam.
