deflating the tire for Stop a Leak is also needed (down to 18-20 psi)...... both methods work great, especially when no one can find the leak (water tub test)..... Ty 4 sharing :)

slime does work, the tire shop guys hate to clean it up when you get new tires.
They don’t clean it
I used fix a flat once, it worked fine, air needed to be out of the tire. Fix a flat is supposedly bad for the tire, but it lasted until I needed new tires.
What have you heard? All I heard it's not a great thing to deal with if you're the mechanic replacing the tire, because you have to clean all the gunk off the rim.

@@VaderSpade the only alternatives I know of is to either remove the tire, use a bead sealer on the rim where the tire bead would touch it, then re-seat the tire -- or to replace the valve stem (or do it at the same time as the bead sealing), those too can get leaky.
I have an almost invisible crack in my 17" chromalloy rims. Gonna give this a shot... Can't hurt

I did step by step my tire just not rising🤦🏾♂️crazy how it rise with a slow leak but when I added slime it didn’t rise at all

It did well, I don't remember having to air up nearly as much or at all for a few years until we sold it.

My rim is slightly bent on the back side of the rim. I didn't know when I bought the car last week but I've noticed it going flat so I've been putting air in it and it will usually hold 3 days. This morning it was pretty much flat so I put air in it and now it's already almost flat and I haven't driven anywhere. Will this help me?
May be worth a try, but with a few caveats. Bent rims can damage the car in the long run due to the unwanted vibrations it will cause, and will probably cause premature tire wear. Although this may fix the leak, it's probably better to see if a tire/rim shop can fix the rim. Also, tire shops hate this stuff, so if you're planning on visiting a shop, I wouldn't apply the slime, because the mechanic will have to clean it off.

@@sharonrichey4530 the damage must be significant, unfortunately you'll have to go to a tire/rim shop. Perhaps you could put a spare tire on if you have it, and just hand them the rim.
This does work however, it will throw your tire off balance which *can slowly ruin the parts connected to it.
I guess that's why they ask you in the instructions to go drive the car for 10 minutes - probably balances the fluid internally to the tire before it hardens/dries.
@@Bootstrappin yeah the balance difference will probably be negligible if you follow the instructions like you said but if your gonna drive it for a year after doing this you might see some extra wear in the bearings and such. This video will probably save some poor SoB's with no other options so cudos, good lookin out m8.
What if I put the same amount on all tires?
@@shambles3458 it would make every tire unbalanced instead of just the leaky one.

Nope. Don’t fall for it. Get fixaflat if you must but not slime. You are just as better off filling the tire with water then slime.

Not saying that won't ever happen, but the sensors worked fine two years after this fix in this Toyota
@@Bootstrappin I asked the guy at the auto parts store he told me never to use the stuff if you had sensors so I believe them
@@mr.redneck2715 Slime is water soluble, so if it does plug up your sensor, the next time you get your tires replaced, just have them run the sensor under water. They wouldn't sell this stuff if it ruined TPM sensors.
Of course he did, he works at a tire shop. He wants your money. Also the sensors are like $20-$25 ea.
