    Can't wait for the release!:)

I really appreciate this video for us all. At first I was very interested in this but I don’t think it’s for me. I agree with many other poster comments that having to purchase more and different supplies for this machine is a bit of a smack after all I’ve already spent and there are definitely limitations. I am a paper crafter... and card maker. I cannot see card makers wanting this at all. YOUR information is great and I love your videos. Thanks.

I like it!😍 It kinda reminds me of my Xyron tools. AND this machine is great for crafting at a workplace on breaks etc. And for traveling, long visits at the hospital. Or even being a patient. And it is great for seniors or people with disabilities. So though many have an issue with the price think of those who desire and need the simplicity and portability when crafting. And pray that those to whom it is a fit can catch it on sale.

This video was really helpful for me. I saw the Joy and the $180 price-point and thought it might be good for me to finally have a cricut of my own. I'm a grad student, so money is usually tight, and I borrow my mom's Explore every month to do a little scrapbooking for my bullet journal. But since the Joy requires completely new cutting and drawing tools, I'd have to drop a rather significant amount of money just to be able to make my planner quotes and month pages.
I'd rather continue to use my Mom's Explore for only the cost of my materials every month than have to spend $180+ on a cricut machine of my own that doesn't even do half of what the machine I'm used to using does. It sure makes me better appreciate the starting cost my Mom put in to her Explore.
I'm deeply disappointed in the Joy. I was really hoping to purchase my own cricut, but it seems that the company is more interested in maximizing profits rather than making their product accessible to those with less than hundreds of dollars to spend on a hobby.

I think the size and convenience is great for smaller places. You can still make great things and it's very portable. It also sounds easy to use and I love the smart vinyl etc. and mattless cutting. As a card maker, I'm excited to learn more about the special matt for quick and easy cards. I believe Cricut is so innovative and keeps improving and coming up with great products for their customers. I think the Cricut is one of the best craft tools ever! I can see lots of use and reasons for new and old customers to use the Cricut Joy! Thank you for brightening the crafting world with the amazing Cricut!!

I for one am super excited to get this machine. Yes I have the explore air but I look forward to adding the joy to my craft room. All these negative comments baffle me. No it isn’t cheap but I feel it is well worth it. There was a lot of planning effort and technology to come up with this. The ones complaining about the cost probably don’t mind spending hundreds on a cell phone. And if you don’t like the Joy then guess what DONT BUY ONE! No one is making you.

Angie is one of the few absolutely excellent presenters on TH-cam, there’s lots good presenters on here but Angie onscreen personality is vibrant, is clear, well informed and organised but she’s got the special essence most on TH-cam lack ....her calming presence keeps viewers watching and coming back.
Of the millions of tutorials out there some we watch for a few seconds, others a few minutes but how many have the gift of projecting a serene calm tutorial that has people very excited about making products too ?

I’m a new Cricut user. I’ve had one but have been terrified to use it. Just got the Cricut Joy and jumped right in BUT I was having trying to learn to cut the cards. Should be easy enough - right? Nope. For some reason my cards were either bunching up OR not aligning properly. I cannot tell you how many videos I have watched trying to FIX what ever it was I was doing wrong. Figured it out with your video. When you unboxed the joy and took out the piece of packaging plastic along the bottom I realized I had not taken that out!!! Thank you for helping me. Going to pull my JOY out again tonight and make some card just because I can - thanks to you!

  • @AnnetteKirk001
    @AnnetteKirk001 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Okay, I see that the Joy is compact and easy to store and travel with the only difference is that you don't need a mat to make a banner, this machine is great for card making and small decals which is great! Though, it's not a stand-alone machine which means you can't use a cartridge in it, Cricut Design Space is the only way to create with the Joy. I will stick to the former Cricut Expression, the dinosaur is what I call it and the Cricut Explore Air 2. With traveling that's not a problem, all the Cricut models have a tote designed especially for it! I'm glad I viewed this video. Thanks for sharing!

I, for one, am happy for this new machine. I don't have lots of room to store my craft items so this is small enough to store and use on my dining table. I no longer have my large Cricut so this will be replacing it.

I purchased the Explorer Air 2 almost two years ago.. IT was pretty complicated and I was getting frustrated, so when the Joy came out I wanted to buy it because I would have to keep moving the larger machine back and forth,so I bought the Joy for that reason.. I do like it and it is easier to make some of the things I had to make in a shorter time and without the frustration... Now I purchased the Mug Warmer, but not used it yet. I DO know that the warmer will make the mugs look a lot better with my Warmer and the inks... yes, it is expensive, as was the Explorer. I can use the mug warmer and it will be easier than having to cut the vinyl, and rub it on.. that took a lot of time.. The mugs have much better and brighter color... But I DO think that the materials and tools are a bit expensive and have raised somewhat recently.. I have not yet sold anything due to Covid but I think the Craft vinyls and and other mugs I made with the Joy will not hold p or withstand as well as the mugs I have made with vinyl...

I am hoping I am going to be able to figure this out and make personalized t-shirts for my neighborhood association. I think the big answer for some of the “why should I buy it” is more for new users that have never used anything like this. It might be nearly the same price as the next level machine, but it seams to be less complicated to use. Just slip the paper in and push a couple of buttons and voila, a project complete. If I can learn how to use it, I think I will really love it.

I think it’s a brilliant product, can’t tell if it really worked because you did not display the finished work, disappointed not to view entire cut on your board.
Ps. You’re a talented presenter; good clear instructions, well organised, articulate, you project a vibrant yet calming personality on screen and both home spaces used for filming are pleasing to the eye of viewers. Very well done 👑🌟✨⭐️🏆🎖

Not impressed, especially at $180.00 price point and then all the money to buy the product that goes with it.. Why didn't they make their existing machines do this... Many who craft don't have the money or space to keep buying machines...this for this purpose, this for that purpose. I sometimes wish manufacturers would listen to us who are the end users/buyers.

Cricut has reached out and explained to It's customers that they are marketing to a different customer base that would have a need for this type of machine. Ashih who is the CEO covered all of thier reasoning and why they have marketed the Joy. If I truly didn't have the machines I have and wasn't as crafty as I am I probably would entertain buying the joy. In fact probably once the newness wears off and the price comes way down I probably will buy it though I think I'd use a lit of the scraps I already have as a result of using my maker which is possible with the joy. I can see using it in our toy charity's storage room especially for labeling. It would be so handy to just have this cute little Yoda in there especially because tabletop space is at a minimum. We relable toy and baby bins all the time and this would be a huge helper. On the con side of it I think It's release timing when so many have Design Space issues prompted a lit of the negativity. On a different day I think the release of this would of been so much more positive because frankly it is very cute and useable especially for someone who doesn't have a Maker and has a need for the things it does.
