- Princess Anne appeared emotional as she paid her respects to her late mother Queen Elizabeth II after her oak coffin was driven from Balmoral to the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Sunday.
Princess Anne is the most royal of all the royals. She really is her mother's daughter.
She should behave like this as a royal member.
I would do the same if I were a royal member. Not as one of the billions of ordinary people. That doesn't mean I don't respect and love my mom.

Or did her husband take her surname? In Korea, there had been only three queens, and that was more than 1000 years ago in only one kingdom. Other than the three, all were male kings. If the king has no son, his nephew or some other male in the royal family became the king, so the surname was always the same throughout the entire kingdom's history, except for that one kingdom that had female queens.
I will never forget that curtsey by Princess Anne. It was an memorable moment full of dignity, respect, and affection for her beloved mother and a greatly admired monarch.
Princess Anne is a class act. She shows all of the most royal qualities perfectly. My heart goes out to her as she mourners her beautiful Queen and mother.

I’ve heard the same. She really helped the Queen through her grieving, and she stepped up a lot when the Queen had to stop doing as many royal engagements. I respect her a great deal.

When the Princess Royal curtsied I was very emotional. It's hard enough to loose your parent but to have to do it so in public with the world watching would make it even harder. Princess Anne is a lady through and through and served her mother well.

I was actually quite captivated by P.A during her mother's funeral. What a strong lady AND the most hard working royal! 💜✌️🙏
This was deeply moving to me. I lost my mom after taking care of her to a long horrible illness. My mom knew me better than anyone in the world and the loss is extreme. The Princess showed great strength and humility. I am an American and I offer my condolences to all who are grieving the loss. 💔

When I was a whole lot younger, myself and a girl from my school were picked to present Princess Anne with a bouquet of red and white roses when she visited my city in Canada. I think I was about 8 or 9 at the time,and really didn’t know who she was. I remember her giving me and Lucy a big hug and thanking us,but that was a long time ago, probably 1971-73.
This is a wonderful memory! Just think; not too many people around the world can say they presented a Senior Royal Family member a bouquet! Good on you.

Princess Anne had many years with her Mother and Father. I think her deep curtsy may have been out of the infinite gratitude she felt as her Mother passed by. God bless you all!! Princess Charles, the Queens oldest and heir to the throne, no doubt was there to be support and be with his mother, however, he's waited impatiently to take his place as King in the short time he has left. I don't blame Charles for that, I blame him for ruining Diana's life. He will reap what he sows.

today marks 911 as well as my late dad's birthday and now the saddest moments of watching the Queen's daughter curtsy to her Mom as her body was taken into the palace was a hard tear filled day all the way around. Not only was Elizabeth the Queen and Monarch and the only one I have ever known of but the Queen always reminds me of my Mom and I used to call my Mom the Queen Elizabeth's twin. her passing was watching hard to watch and as Princess Anne mourns her Mom I share her grief because it was like seeing my Mom's passing all over again. Her warm smile and laugh was so much like Mom's it;s uncanny and hard to see today. Queen Elizabeth was a Mom, a Grandmother and a Queen of Beauty , Heart and Soul and she will be forever missed but always remembered.
