- Princess Anne appeared emotional as she paid her respects to her late mother Queen Elizabeth II after her oak coffin was driven from Balmoral to the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Sunday.
Losing your mother leaves you with a big hole in your heart and in your life. Doesn't matter that you mom was queen or not. She was still you mom. May she rest in peace.
Or a grandmother. 😔

Princess Anne's devotion to not just her mother but the institution of the monarchy is beyond reproach. She's the hardest working Royal as well as wife and mother. My deepest condolences.
Camilla also does a fine job. She is very underrated and does a lot of charities also.

This was deeply moving to me. I lost my mom after taking care of her to a long horrible illness. My mom knew me better than anyone in the world and the loss is extreme. The Princess showed great strength and humility. I am an American and I offer my condolences to all who are grieving the loss. 💔

When the Princess Royal curtsied I was very emotional. It's hard enough to loose your parent but to have to do it so in public with the world watching would make it even harder. Princess Anne is a lady through and through and served her mother well.

The queen never worked in her life time and never paid a Penny for the taxes. So what is really big deal about her passing? @@GeoffsSousChef It was told to the media it was Princess Anne and Charles. It's no doubt Princess Anne was a major comfort to The Queen during these past weeks. Princess Charles, the Queens oldest and heir to the throne, no doubt was there to be support and be with his mother, however, he's waited impatiently to take his place as King in the short time he has left. I don't blame Charles for that, I blame him for ruining Diana's life. He will reap what he sows.

Yes, Princess Anne's curtsy was a gesture of love and respect for her Mother, the Queen. It did bring a tears to my eyes, a daughter's emotional moment for all of us to witness.

When I was a whole lot younger, myself and a girl from my school were picked to present Princess Anne with a bouquet of red and white roses when she visited my city in Canada. I think I was about 8 or 9 at the time,and really didn’t know who she was. I remember her giving me and Lucy a big hug and thanking us,but that was a long time ago, probably 1971-73.
This is a wonderful memory! Just think; not too many people around the world can say they presented a Senior Royal Family member a bouquet! Good on you.

That curtsey has me all undone. I sat there watching that and bawled my eyes out. First and foremost, we daughters share so much with our Mothers, and it leaves a huge hole in your heart. So sad for Anne!
I was coping till that moment, I don't know why I didn't expect it. Just as I will always remember the vision of the Queen sitting alone for her husbands funeral, this vision will always remain. A curtsey with such dignity and respect while having to mourn in public.
