A true British patriot - wore the three lions on his shirt proudly, accepted his OBE from Her Majesty. Then queued for 12 hours and even bought doughnuts for his fellow queuers. David, you did yourself and your country proud... he even said when he was interviewed in the crowd, "Her Majesty gave our country 70 years, I'm spending a few hours in a queue"

He said that he was raised a monarchist and that if he didn’t go and pay his respects that his grandfather would never forgive him. I shared the touching tribute on FB and said that someone with his profile could have easily jumped the queue. But he didn’t. And my respect for him went up a thousand fold. And he waited in queue for over 12 hours.

Well it's the very least they can do for the Person of the Millenium. Prolly only Michael Jackson and her will be known about in 5000 yrs onwards.
I have watched a lot and media only bringing secluded highlights. Some are really really heartbreaking but roughly 90% of ppl know neither how to dress nor behave. It's usually older ppl who can barely walk to follow slightest protocol and courtesy in front of Her Majesty. OF COURSE! Despite seeing Princess Anne acknowledging the casket at Edinburgh Cathedral.
I seen middle aged men in Adidas shorts. I only thought what's next to be allowed inside ... Trash Millenials in bathing suits?!
Despite having no conscience how they represent themselves for World History Pictures/Movies; Most these ppl only want to be on TV and bragging on Asocial Media that they were there - that's the sad state of the world.... including Britain!
Elizabeth II was the last bastion of standards. Now the world will be faster ruined than the Roman Empire next 20 yrs. Fitting for Charles.

      @iseeraspberries6727 ปีที่แล้ว +18

@@BEEyonced I agree with you that some people should have thought about their outfit choice but I don't think that is something tied specifically to this occasion or country. There will always be people who live only by the written rules aka it's not illegal to wear Adidas shorts to give respect to a deceased person so noone can make me to. They don't follow basic manners of politeness or etiquette. I've seen this on multiple occasions myself. It's sad as in the past people tend to follow those way more. However there's nothing one can do about it.
However I don't think majority went there to brag on social media. I would bet that there are extremely strict rules about phones and photographing, you know?
Also it's mostly people who are not exactly teenagers or those 20 somethings who use them the most.
I believe Charles is very well prepared for his role. He's over 70 after all and son of the Queen. Sure he is not her and won't be there as long as she was but that's not the point. He will do it his way but still devoted to the public.
      Have a great day!

but you don't know how he is inside his house! you never lived with him to know what a man he truly is. He is OUTSIDE, so of course he will act the best way possible cause he knows if he makes a mistake and acts his Real-self he will get criticized and his reputation damaged.

As a nation, they had a steady and pleasant symbol in the queen for seven decades and had this occasion to pay tribute to the life they had with her. I was born the year she came to the throne and the nation I was born in had an absolute monarch whose end of his life did not get this type of sendoff. I envy the British that they had this occasion to pay their respect and move on quietly to attend to the next phase of their life as a nation.

Well done Beck's. Showing your humble support for both a fabulous monarch and the people of Britain and the Commonwealth.

Honestly, I haven't been a fan of him before. I love that he waited in line and didn't demand special treatment. I also respect the fact that he was dressed up and paid a Great Lady the respect she earned after 70 years of dedication.

I'd never been his greatest fan, either. But there's a real Gentleman paying his respect to a Lady.

Class act from one of England's greatest footballer. Huge respect for David Beckham....you certainly deserved your OBE from the Queen. And i heard that he queueed more then 12 hours just to pay his final respect? That's truly commendable...what a remarkable human being.

As an Aussie, David Beckham is the epitome of Brit, loyal to Crown and Country. Love him.

Good for him! He has shown he’s a true gent and queued with everyone else to pay his respects rather than join the VIPS who thought it that was acceptable to use their status rather than their brain to make a disrespectful decision. Mr Beckham you have gone up in my estimation and good on ya 👍🏻
