Fun fact, I grew up not too far from you, with that said, thanks for the video, been looking at getting a propress and I’m very happy with what I see here.
after cutting is deburring not required with the milwaulkee cutting tool? just trying to add to my knowledge bank and have always been told to debur. great video and truly shows how even a simple install still takes time when doing it right.
It's required, these misfits just know what they are doing. Someone didn't train them right. Doesn't matter what pro press tool you use, The pipe has to be reamed, De Burred, cleaned with sand paper, and marked on each side of pipe with marker for proper depth.
Question. Don't you still have to reem (or de-burr) the pipe after cutting ?when using the pro-press?? Also ..shouldn't the depth be marked with a sharpie prior to pressing the pipe?
So what happens if that ball valve leaks in the press connection ? Can you release the joint and re-press ? That T&P overflow pipe - where does it drain to ? Onto floor ? Thank you
Same for refrigerant circuit repairs/installs. Increases flow rate, decreases noise and decreases erosion. If the customer is paying for a premium job, give it to them. I don’t try to compete with low-ballers.
I have that same m12 propress.. Here in Cali that installation its not up to code. has to have a pan and expasion tank.... I know that there is different. love that propress makes the job go fast 👋👋👍👍
That press tool is awesome. In other videos the guys are reaming the inside and outside of the copper piping. Have you experienced the seal being compromised by the burr created from the Milwaukee tube cutter?
I’ve been thinking about getting the propress. I’m not sure if it will work on type m copper. That’s the one thing holding me back. I always use type L but I know there are some houses out there with type m in them.
Your not kidding about heaters not even close to being code and in the worst possible areas 🤣 deal with it alot in Michigan and I always say I've seen it all when I know I definitely have not 😆
Great tool! But you cut a lot of corners with your installation been there done that a lot of CODE IS OVER KILL IN SOME CASES! SHOULD ALWAYS TIGHTEN THE PACKING ON THAT MAIN VALVE AFTER YOU DISURB IT GOOD PRACTICE SO YOU DON’T GET A CALL BACK!
damn why would you cut the copper in half before bringing it inside lol. Also use a tape measure to get way more accurate first cuts. Your method results in having stubby pieces left over, what a waste. You could of gotten your exact length needed if you measured, not just eyeballing pieces
I've worked on a many of house but I have never seen a crawl space hatch in the floor of the house.😂 Them type fittings are new to me since I have been retired for awhile now. I was wondering if they work on pex pipe too?
glad to see u using dielectrics on the water heater. propress is nice and all but ive seen so many water heaters installed with propress and no dielectrics used just a female fitting. nice job
I will stick to soldered joints. Any " o" ring will fail in time. I work in multimillion dollar homes and none of them will accept this form of connection.
Thats all going to leak. You never even bothered to prep the copper pipe at all. Yiur supposed to ream, debur, clean pipe with sandpaper. I hope you go back and fo it right in two months when the customer calls you back because all the fittings are leaking.. the most important thing when doing pro press or mega press is properly prepping the pipe, Come on man you should know this. I can't tell you how many valls i get because of general Contractors and handymen and plumbers who are not licensed or just lazy / or take shirt cuts and dont take the time to clean pipe properly and then i have to clean up there mess.
I love the propress. Quick, easy, reliable. Perfect tool in the field.
Quick work. Just brought the M12. Game changer

You made short work of that water heater install. That pro-press really speaks for itself
It's a time saver for sure
I don't understand why I do this during work. And watch it on my off time! lol
Because you enjoy what you do for a living..

you're right, this guy's outta controll all those will leak

do you cary a marker pen with you?
Do you need to de-bur and chamfer the copper after cutting or is it not necessary with that type cutter
You’re supposed to ream The pipe if you don’t It causes a vortex with the water
Never had a problem with it
@@mikefournier7286 also could damage the o ring if it’s sharp.

That is one nice crawlspace.

No
I like how helper scratched wall😅
He told newb to jam the 2:30 job in there. What do you expect?
U did a good job ppl always have something to say.i am a plumber and I say 👏

works on both and is worth the money. everything i do is in m copper. Thanks for watching.
In my neck of the woods you got to a put a expansion tank on a water heater and if it’s a gas water heater it’s got to be elevated on a stand and pan
nice gouge on wall..lol.....Enjoyable Video...thanks!
He told him to jam it in there. He followed orders.
That's some awesome tools ya have makes short work of that time is money.

I am going to get the m12 press next month. Do you find that cleaning the pipe ends not necessary?
Not really I never had a problem No definitely save time on your jobs

How much for the install?
Do you use that tool for your line sets or are you still brazing?
Yeah I was wondering if anybody solder's anymore. Them fittings are expensive!
I assume that just how the customer didn’t want to pay for the pan, they also didn’t want to pay for a expansion tank.

i cant ever have an apprentice, i wouldve lost it already on him from the start haha
Can these M12 be used for AC line pressing with the proper presses? If so, do you press refrig lines?
Yes, the M12 can use Ridgid RLS jaws for ACR
I've worked on a many of house but I have never seen a crawl space hatch in the floor of the house.😂 Them type fittings are new to me since I have been retired for awhile now. I was wondering if they work on pex pipe too?
No they don't work and pex pipe
Nice video!
Is that your newbie?
Did you company buy that milwaukee compression tool?
no i buy my own tools for a reason. if i go to another company i take my tools
@@MiHeatingGuy I know that's right..
@@MiHeatingGuy we have many of the same tools lol. I love milwaukee
No vacuum break on water heater?
Not required in Michigan
That install would not pass in TX.
Awsome video. Does your employer pay for the propress and if he does how many guys get one ?
No i buy my own tools for a reason. if i go to another company i take my tools
@@MiHeatingGuy damn that’s a nice tool. Pricey for me but I wish I had one. Great work
Are you a plumbing heating air conditioning contractor?
Heating air conditioning and refrigeration
No earthquake straps, no drain pan… no sediment gas trap.
I don't have earthquakes in Michigan
Look again on the sediment trap...then apologize.
glad to see u using dielectrics on the water heater. propress is nice and all but ive seen so many water heaters installed with propress and no dielectrics used just a female fitting. nice job
all the time when I can
Wow!! You lit the assembly and the tank wasn't even filled yet! SMH!
dude. that tank fills up in 2 minutes
all set for another 60 months
Should always do the VENTING CONNECTION FIRST!
Ok
I will stick to soldered joints. Any " o" ring will fail in time. I work in multimillion dollar homes and none of them will accept this form of connection.
O ring has a 50 year warranty . But there’s plenty of videos without the print still holds
I was taught in the "old days" to never lay hot water heaters on their side for transport !

let me guess, you aren't that happy with your career choice.
I enjoy my job everyday. I love what I do. If I didn't like my career choice do you think i would be doing videos about it everyday
@@MiHeatingGuy The attitude you project on your videos says otherwise.
I'm sorry I don't like sugar coating stuff
🤢🤢
You forgot to the ream the pipe inside and out
Is the relief line dumping on the floor
