Our favourite day in Scotland | Kayaking Loch Insh | Uath Lochans | Road Trip | Cairngorms

Well we definitely fit a lot in on our third day road tripping round the Cairngorms
The morning started out strong waking up on top of the mountain with stunning views and the sun shining. A filling breakfast later and we were off to explore more lochs, forests, and viewpoints. With a castle and waterfall for good measure, we covered a lot of ground and saw some amazing scenery
Of course it rained while we were kayaking on Loch Insh but it was still a lovely way to spend an afternoon and we are falling more in love with it the more we do it
Next time we will have to go back to the Highland Folk Museum as there was so much to see and you could easily spend the day there, especially if the weather was pleasant
After an issue with our booking at ‪@lochtayhighlandlodges‬ the amazing staff sorted us with the best camping pod we've ever stayed in and we had an amazing evening eating delicious food, building a campfire and watching the meteor shower from the comfort of our pod porch. I had the best night sleep of the entire trip and I would love to include it as a stop in our future trips. The views alone were incredible!
Perhaps one of my favourite days exploring Scotland with a mix of activities, the only thing missing was a beach!
