Kayaking and Hiking in the Lake District, Windermere | October 2023

What happens when a group of thirty year olds spend the weekend in the Lake District? A wholesome two days exploring, hiking, and adventuring in Windermere and beyond.
Last time Mark and I were here (May 2021), it rained all weekend and we got attacked by a swan - still had the best time! The weather was more favourable this time and we had the best kayaking experience we have had so far: the instructor at Fell Foot was brilliant, the scenery was stunning, and we are really getting the hang of relaxing and paddling at the same time.
Pair that with a lovely walk around Blawith Common and Beacon Tarn, where I made friends with a gorgeous dog, captured many 'near misses', and stood overlooking the hills, we couldn't have asked for a much better weekend!
