Air Hollywood: Amazing Airplane Art, Furniture and Movie Studio

- I visited Air Hollywood in LA, which is the world’s largest aviation-themed entertainment studio. It provides a realistic and film-friendly airport, along with aircraft standing sets and props to the motion picture production industry.
I was shown how they turn used airplane parts into amazing aviation collectibles and furniture. For example a round table bar made from a 747 engine cowling, a table made from an airplane wing, a wine holder and other art items
My tour of Air Hollywood continued on to see where Hollywood films all its plane scenes. There are several narrow and wide body airplanes and even a mock up terminal available for filming. The original cockpit of The Airplane Movie (1980) is also in Air Hollywood as a history piece. There is a fully stocked prop house, which has every type of aviation related item imaginable for rent; from luggage and trolleys to a check-in desk and an x-ray machine.

Hollywood airlines is just as cool as the PAN AM Experience.... Needless to say it's a great video.
The sofa in my living room is a British Airways 747 first class two-seat section from circa 1978. The irony is that it was never flown! It was a display model back in the good old days when airlines still had city ticket offices! No need for electric because the seat recline is of course all manual. Only the 'flight attendant call button' does not work. I press it and no one answers. 😀

They had everything possible from an aircraft and maintained so well for the movie shootings. The office wallpaper with all the boarding passes was aweaome-something I hope to do 😍.

I JUST FELT THE AIRPORT VIBE HERE AT HOME WHILE WATCHING THIS. 😭 I really miss the airport, the smell of the aircraft, and waiting every single second until it blocks on. I'm an airport employee from the Philippines and most of our operations has been stopped because of this pandemic. I hope that we can overcome this and let's get back to normal. Let's bring back the busiest place in the world which is the airport, but now it's the loneliest 😭

Wow......I loved the tour. Makes my SAS DC9 coach seats and UAL DC8 first class seat look like nothing compared to the studio’s collection. Mine are in my hangar which also serves as my Man Cave.
