      Especially the organ works (fugues) are amazing to see, when and how the notes become convoluted yet so precise. I can honestly say it is an act of cultural heroism to do what you have.

    I'm a thankful for the extra eyes that our viewers provide to point out errors. Especially those of TH-cam users: taudou, embargokong and Ammar Biser. They took the time to point out the errors that made me take down the 1st post of this Suite. With their help, viewers can get a truthful version of this great Suite!. Please, bear in mind that there might be more errors to be found but in the mean time... please enjoy this while it lasts and my sincere apologies for the multiple errors I overlooked.

    These suites are a testament for humanity, because it carries emotional struggles of life. It’s like a Bible for music since the emotions are only an extension of God’s love. I can hear what this suite’s message specifically foretells, it is about us after falling into the world’s ways of wickedness and the music only expresses the amount of grief it feels of how it misses that specific person for once they used to be pure hearted & not indulged into world’s wicked ways. But nothing can be done since this is how the process of the entire world is. Starts off as an innocent/pure child, then grows up to understand the earth’s weight & has no choice but respond to it by living & giving his own transformation coming from a more pure state. Only time will tell if that person will remain with earth’s wicked ways or find judgement towards himself in respect of God’s love and convert back to one with God & pure state once again. This is life’s test & I think Bach has expressed it right here in this suite. Prelude starts with the expression of the beginning of a person’s wicked ways, and then eventually towards the next movements the music finds some sort of resolution for the person. There is even a point of self judgement/discernment, of which is the sarabande. It’s deep & bloody, But it does show some hints of resolution and in respect finds some inner peace during the ending of the sarabande. The gigue features that inner peace being finally brought to light & gradually showing a full surrender into God’s love & mercy towards mankind, and furthermore the gigue continues while showing the footsteps of that person’s lifetime & looking back/remembering the wrong ways of his past doings. So is calling out the evil with musical attacks, completely obliterating & knocking out the past out of the way. And now being born a new & righteous creature in Christ, he/she is able to see the full picture of where we once were & where we now stand! So the Gigue ends with this perspective of life ultimately showing the defeat of the evil within & finding the resolution of Christ & Peace within! In other words being fully converted! This is the depth of the composer’s love. Bach was not only a musician but a mentor & father figure to everybody in the whole world musically.

    That fugue was... strange. It didn't feel as much of a fugue as it did a ricercar or some other purely contrapuntal work; it didn't have the clear subject entries Bach is so good at, and the use of a _repeat_ was surprising for one of his fugues. Excellent, yes, but unlike any other fugue he has written...

  • @Batsinthebelltower
    @Batsinthebelltower 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This is a real beginner question , but im just learning to read music atm. Im playing along to this with it set to 0.75 speed. So in the first bar on the bass stave , the second note is a Bflat. My question is, seeing as Bflat is already denoted by the key signature , does the flat sign beside the note make it a Bdouble flat (A) , I donot see further B notes in the piece marked with a flat symbol , but they are ofcourse flattened by the key signature

    • @Acandlesfickleflame
      @Acandlesfickleflame 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Batsinthebelltower The reason there is a notated flat next to that Bb is because there is a B natural right before it in the treble clef. Any time you place an accidental on a note, that accidental applies to all of those notes until the end of the bar. (For example, that natural sign on the B makes all Bs natural until the end of the bar.) So since Bach wanted a Bb again, the flat must be reinstated.

    • @jamesrockybullin5250
      @jamesrockybullin5250 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Zach Morrow not quite. It only applies to subsequent notes in the same octave and clef in the rest of the bar. The flat in the bass clef is a cautionary accidental; not strictly needed but helpful to the performer. You'll find cautionary accidentals in the next bar too sometimes.

      The piece itself may be in the public domain but there is a musician playing it... Its not Gerubach's recording so its up to TH-cam to put ads on the video.
      If it really bothers you pay for the actual recording:
