    My favorite was an acknowledgement of just how old Kratos is at this point. We know from the game that Tyr collected everything in his secret vault single handedly. AND we know that Tyr has been dead for at least a century as told by Mimir. This means that the fact that Tyr had a vase of Kratos when he was the Ghost of Sparta it tells us that Kratos is probably centuries old.

  • @ay_azulita
    @ay_azulita 6 ปีที่แล้ว +128

    I finished the game and I've been thinking about this (MAJOR spoilers ahead): The fact that Tyr's wall piece had the symbols from other cultures makes me think he actually was/is a god in all these different mythological backgrounds. You see the omega symbol in there, which is the Greek god of war so what I'm getting at is: What if Kratos is, in fact Tyr?
    I mean timelines are crazy in norse mythology and in the game too, given for example that Atreus/Loki is the father of the World Serpent (who even says to recognize him, impossible when we hear about it the first time but possible after we know who Atreus really is), and we learn that Tyr is a god of war that's humble and wise and seeks peace instead of war and no one knows where he is or what happened to him. So in this weird timeline Kratos could become Tyr and in the past protect the giants and so on. It's not that crazy of a theory if you analyze the mythology aspects the game included.

    At or around the 7 minute mark, the talk about the different symbols of war on the tapestry and "what may come", I remember watching a thing about the development of GoW and how the original creator had a plan to not only play as Kratos but 2 other Gods of War from different pantheons. You would play all three characters and your actions in one mythos would effect the worlds of the others. They may have been referencing what might have been. Or not. Tyr was very interested in all things and trying to understand the other Gods of War may have been crucial to his beliefs.

      The fact that the story of the Horse and the Stag is analogous to Kratos’ own story is a coincidence. They put it in for a reason, but the story already existed beforehand.

    Im not sure if this is one but when the boy is sick and freya gives you here boat to return home to retrieve his "You know what" (dont want to spoil it). He sits in a posture how he sat on his throne in GOW2. As it continues to float. Kratos sees wild animals on shore and has a moment to himself and his posture lowers from a strong god to a more worried farther.

    Well in the end of Norse mythology when the world ends two people will escape unscathed from the world true; this directly ties into the Christianity as this was made to help convert pagans away from the Norse beliefs so after this it could go back to Egypt then back to probably Jesus. Imagine that: Jesus kicking ass yelling loudly: “THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU”

    More of an attention to detail than an Easter egg but when kratos grapples with baulder during on of their fights kratos wrestles like a Greek or a Turk using his legs and arms to immobilize his opponent, granted this is some of the more popular forms so it’s likely what happened in the motion capture but if it was intentional then that was amazing
