This does NOT have instructions for programming the immobilizer, which is annoying because Google’s search index thinks this is the top hit for that question.
I take it your car doesn’t start or did not start at one point did you ever get it fixed because I am in the same predicament and I think it has a lot to do with this stupid security thing
@@fernandoguerra4881 only thing I could think of is break the old key fob and jam it in near the key ignition. Half the time it reads it half the time it doesn’t 😢
So I have a 2009 Honda Element I had to change a clutch on and the IMMO system isn’t turning the car over. It’s the OEM key 🔑. Can if the battery if off the car for a extended time can it forgot the OEM keys? I have a THINKDIGA coming asap. Could it possibly be an immobilizer failure I’m getting the continuous blink and it’s not the dash thanks for your time
I was told to try your secondary key. The chip inside the key may be compromised. Easy, FREE. Good luck hope this works for all the Honda owners pulling your hair out & going broke trying to fix this crank, no start, green key light problem.
Hello, my car is a 2022 rav4 hybrid. The smart computer ecu was stolen from it. What are the appropriate steps to solve the problem and operate the car? For information, smart key fob its available
I had to buy a new ignition switch for my Honda pilot 2006. It came with 2 keys, those keys are not programmed to the immobilizer. If I put the original key near the switch I can use the new keys to start the vehicle. Is there a way I could get these keys programmed to the immobilizer? Thank you
And three of the top ten most stolen cars appear to be Hondas. So what is this providing other than a major pain in the neck due to cheap key fobs and a way for Honda to gouge their customers? Answer: not a damn thing!
Very clear and concise, thankyou!

What could be the reason for no start with fast turn of key, and the green key light never stops blinking when key is turned to on position?

Honda added the immobilizer in the early 2000s because people kept stealing the 90s models. Calm down Mr. Old Guy😂😂
I broke the excited reader. Sigh. What are my options. The ignition is fine.
