Do it. It’s such a blast. I’ve been to matches in Hertha, Bremen, Nürnberg, Bayern, and a shitload of regional league games, and the fans are so fun and welcoming. Then there’s the wurst and beer. 🤤
I lived in Germany 3 years including one year near Frankfurt and one of the things I miss most are the Sunday breakfasts. I lived in a W.G. (wohngemeinschaft) which is a communal shared house space and we used to have these long all-day breakfasts with variety of small bread rolls (brötchen), cheeses (we were vegetarian but not vegan), spreads, herbs, many different condiments and endless tea and coffee. Sundays were/are still sacred, with most businesses shut, and people would eat long breakfasts and maybe go for a communal walk around the local parks including right through the big city. Still miss those German Sundays of relaxed grazing and wandering. Great way to see out a weekend then slump into a coma until Monday.
I was in Frankfurt a few years ago. I walked round a corner in the bahnhofsviertal and nearly tripped over a junkie casually shooting up on the pavement.
@@y0Milan There was an actual title race this season, unlike the Premier League. You're clearly pretty dumb if you think it's a farmers league. There was a point in the season when it was a 5 horse race. Dortmund are great, Leipzig are superb, Leverkusen have great young players.
fyi, the green sauce is made with seven freshly herbs: parsley, chives, chervil, borage, sorrel, garden cress and salad burnet. they are mixed together with sour cream, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper
Loved this series and visited Grange over sands recently as a result. Will be checking a few of the euro destinations once football and travel gets back to normal 👍
The green sauce, or Grune Sosse, if I remember correctly is full of parsley, watercress chives and most importantly sorrel, a herb much underused in my opinion! But why does it have to be so thick!!!!
It requires seven herbs, which are even sold as a combo in grocery shops or market stalls in the Frankfurt region: parsley, chervil, garden cress, borage, burnet, sorrel, and chives. And it is this thick as it is actually more part of the dishes and not just a sauce.
I first thought that Eli Mengem had grown old, until I realised that I recognised the face and the voice from somewhere else (mainly Food Network UK). I have been a fan of Adam's shows for ages, and of COPA90's derby days, too (although Adam precedes COPA90). I moved to Germany a few years back and am quite familiar with Frankfurt, as I have family there and used to work there, so this episode is just a bit unreal. My sister is a HUGE SGE fan, but I am not really into football that much (aber einmal Waldhof, immer Waldhof), but when it comes to food ... take it away, Adam!
Yes, next time go with locals. Never ever been to those places and I was born in Frankfurt. Bonus: No one is going for a regular breakfast on matchday…
Great video Adam, but the food could have been lousy and it would not have mattered, because any day that Bayern Munich lose by 5-1 is a very good day!
This is the Currywurst from Aramak. No one eats close to the stadium in Frankfurt because the food of aramak is so bad. If he eats a decent Currywurst he'll go mad :D
Been Germany a few times following my club and for other trips. They get a lot right in Germany. Its all a bit nice and touristy tho. Misses that bit of spitefulness for me

Great concept COPA90. and adam richman is perfect

I spent a few days in Frankfurt in February and loved it, exploring on my own and plenty of free beer at karneval, it was awesome
Love this omg this is the show we didnt know we needed but turns out we HAVE TO HAVE IT!
I love how Adam refers to the beautiful game in its correct term... football/footy... always feels a bit odd when an American says soccer
i mean, the country who invented the game (england) was the first to call it soccer
not that big of a deal .
