I have a 2018 XV/Crosstrek (which I'm pretty happy around town) and would be more inclined to call it a 'bad roader' rather than an 'off roader'. I've driven mine down rough tracks and rutted, corrugated roads but wouldn't attempt to take it to places that, for example, a Range Rover would tackle.
Think I'll wait for the 2.5L engine (not a lead foot but would appreciate more acceleration on the open road) and see how the Hybrid works before considering upgrading.
What’s the point in a hybrid if it gives less BHP (150 down to 134) and doing the same MPG as the XV?
All good. I've been looking to get one but do I really need all wheel drive? The other car I've been looking at is the Mazda cx-5. How would ride quality and safety equipment campare?
It is a saying from someone never drove a Subaru.
Let us hope the up coming new Forester doesnt follow a similar tame waterdown new model philosophy given the competiton in the mid sized SUV segment.
I have a late model XV with 18 inch factory wheels, yet my spare tyre, is a 17 inch which I find unacceptable, and it’s not even a proper spare, long distance travel would be a concern, so why didn’t Subaru fit 17 inch wheels?
this is a good subaru economical and our 2018 xv has 7.9 lt to 100km never had trouble i always service it never skip oil service times its a greater than hyundai mg and toyota bore bang for buck and is well priced if you want performance buy a wrx ! this is a good family car
The pupose of 2.0 NA is to run 300000km with low maintenance instead of turbo motor broke down at around 200000km with more maintenance.
So you still think the 2.0 is worth it as a good buy? I was looking at getting this car
@@J_MARAu It is reliable and practical used car choice with average servicing history and the cvt is not weak as most car reviewer said. 2017 GP5 serise the motor had direct injection. US and China now has the 2.5 version crosstrek which is better power option.
Same engine, gearbox and platform as xv. A software update for the transmission.
I think the crosstrek is pitched to older buyers who don't want more power. Maybe that's why they didn't put in a turbo
why no mention of cabin and road noise suppression performance? this should be reported as readily as power figures and on public roads has a much greater impact on ownership satisfaction
To expensive 😮
Rims is way to big!!
no indicatores no like
