How have I never seen this? This might tie the Snarky Puppy version as my favorite version of this song. You can see the joy pouring out of the faces of the musicians.
At 5:55 he was trying to grab the director's attention to let him know that his improv had finished, but the director wasn't looking back, so he nodded to the band and they reacted!
Just another example of how disturbingly talented JC is. This sounds like an adaptation of the version recorded with Snarky Puppy. At least one of the violin players appeared to realize how cool she is by being a part of this version. This song still gives me goosebumps even though I have heard the SP version literally dozens of times.
Another impressive, fun, beautiful Jacob Collier collaboration. The musicians were definitely grooving. If you haven’t seen the Snarky Puppy version that is a must see.
Amaaazing! As always, Jacob proves that he´s from another planet... But I also loved the Nu Deco Ensemble performance, you could see how they were genuinely enjoying it, like it was somthing easy...
The 'Close To You' reference at 4:20 was hilarious, tasteful and just right, all at the same time.. wonderful :')
And again briefly at 5:50 :)
Jacob throws “the lick” In almost any jazz setting he can

Holy shit ! I can't believe I just discovered this!! Beautiful, gorgeous, leaves me weak.
Lovely music and lovely to see an orchestra enjoying themselves so much.

Fantastic! Also, that blonde violinist's facepulling starting 8:17 is fantastic too.

I feel it was a bit ruined by poor mixing, especially the percussion. Amazing performance though.
SAY WHAT???
Don't rub it in, look at the reply section
Very good, but no Snarky groove...
Sadly, they didn't mix well the vocoder :/

Eli Ellis false..the mix sounds mint over here.
Comparing to Snarky Puppy's take, the percussion in this version sounds a bit underwhelming.
it's live...
As is Snarky Puppy's...
Listening to it on my laptop, the mixing's less aggressive actually. I take it back
