The A24 exists to compete against budget midrange chinese competition ie Redmi note 12 & Redmi 12, Realme 10, also some people need a decent back up phone & this fits the bill at less than $200, Also 2023 has had HyperInflation so demand for flagships & gaming phones is iffy, so buying a teen such an affordable device for gaming makes sense, The A14 4G is the phone that doesnt make sense to me in comparison to A04s, & next years A05s will make A1x series even more obsolete, JustMyOpinion, cheers
I actually think it's one of the best A series phone this year, just like the A22 4G (Not the 5G!) was back in 2021. It's significantly better than even the A14 5G, except for the lack of 5G, which I think is useles on these low-end devices anyways.
@alipathan495 if there is a 5G switch, I've searched high and low for it in settings and can't find it. If you know where it is on the A22 5G Samsung phone, DO tell, please!
There are other brands in the same price range here in my hometown, but not that many. I would still go for the A24 solely for the software support/experience. Can't let go of OneUI. My broke-ass college allowance won't allow me to go above $300.
The A24 is a fantastic phone. Most of my family uses it. Some reviewers has been way too spoiled with high end devices. We need a reviewer that caters for the little guy. Here in my country we just got 5g and i really couldnt care less.
Same!!!! . He is talking like we all afford the flashy iphones or samsungs... Most people have a job and need to be practical. I cant afford breaking an expensive phone at work or getting it stolen. Ive used 5G once ... and there is honestly hardly any difference for the average consumer.
What are you talking about? A24 is one of the best selling smartphones here in the philippines. A 70 series was dropped bcuz its redundant with the fe.
Sort of the same thing with A34 and A54, they are so similar, both in specs and price, but still sold at once. I actually figured out why, turns out US doesn't get A34, so they only have A54. Basically, A34 is more local phone, thus significant saving with similar specs, meanwhile A54 was like A34+ and is available everywhere.
it's because of the components availability bro, no company can rely only on one manufacturer to have devices made, what if a54 SOCs became not available they need a backup plan.
@@MJ-uk6lu Samsung is not a single company theres the divisions that makes the screen, SOCs etc. and the Division that develop the device. even thought theres no such thing as infinity availability or one division may not want to make more of that SOC, etc.

@@MJ-uk6lu it's not about short supply it's about availability, a device cannot keep being made they build for 6 months and thats it dead end, 6 months after it's already old they will need to build the next model, theress also internal competition from diferent factorys to make the best selling device on a price tag.
5G is rubbish. Headphone jacks and SD card slots are fantastic. So what's not to love! It's just a shame they don't do a flahship with the same criteria, i'm willing to spend a lot more money on it.
I understand the logic behind making most of the A series phones look the exact same from the back for this year. Still, there has to be bigger bridge in design between the current higher tier devices! Apple seems to at least understand that idea, which is why you'll never see any of the base models get a 3rd camera before the Pro models get a 4th one. If I'm spending over $500 for a phone, I don't want it to look even remotely similar to something that's under $200 or even resemble a flagship device from the same company.
The a24 = frame skips. The more you use it the more you see frame skips. I hate it because I am now stuck with it. Really wanted the a34 but couldn't afford it.
its the Helio G99, may be fixed on software updates, it's a shame because snapdragon 480/680 devices from the same price range doesnt have this issue even the snapdragon having half the performance.
I have the 8gig version and its doing great! i cant complain because the phone i was using before was just a hand me down from my dad (galaxy grand prime, 9 YEARS OLD ALREADY!!!) it runs games well like war thunder edge low-medium hovers around 59-56ish although it does heat up fast (nothing a pc exhaust fan wont fix).
This phone is amazing more specifically if you never used a flagship phone, not everyone has 1800 USD to drop for something that has overcomplicated features which are not necessarily practical to every day situations. this phone is very inclusive in terms of price and market while still having decent functionalities. A very relevant phone outside American markets.
My dad has this phone and it's actually pretty decent. He's an old guy and this is more than enough for him. He uses his phones for calls, texts, facebook, and TH-cam. He barely takes photos but it's not the worst. Super AMOLED looks gorgeous still. This phone is like for kids or old people. They might drop it from time to time and it would be fine

Some parts of the world doesnt support 5g. And if they do it isnt unlimited like in US. Or Europe. So it offers better specs in 4G phone on africa or in the asian markets
I do understand your point of view, but keep in mind, where you reside and carriers have a lot to do with which models are available. Here in the U.S. most carriers offer the A14, A54, S23 series, and the flip/fold phones. Of course, if you buy unlocked there are more choices, but then IMHO anyone buying an unlocked phone should do their due diligence first anyway.
I kinda regret getting the A24 when I can get much better specs from other brands for the same price. I could've got myself the Poco F5, Realme 11 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro, etc. The only redeeming quality of the A24 is that it is SAMSUNG, it is reliable, secure and I get to have 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. Though I doubt I'll have this phone for 5 years and will likely replace it with a better phone. (I'm using the A24 as a secondary phone, my main is the iPhone 14 Pro Max)
@@MedusasSnakePit If you're not gaming then the A24 is just fine. Btw I sold my A24 and got myself a Poco F5. The performance upgrade I got is like 4x better than the A24. Basically the Poco F5 is as fast as the Samsung S22 Ultra.
Back in 2019 I had no idea about buying a phone other than a Samsung however the specifications I required were quite specific and it was during the era of affordable Chinese phones in 2019 with options under $200 plus but I decided to stick with my Samsung J7 as it remained durable and still met my needs. I found it these one is reasonable as it feels to be 2019 I would even say that this phone was a brilliant choice.
This video claims that 5g phones are not quite a big deal, right? So, the title should be "I have no idea why the Samsung A14 exists". It makes no sense to make an already budget phone worst, just to make it 5g compatible.
It's the same mentality Motorola uses. Saturate the market with endless phones, make lots of deals with carriers, and rake in as much money as possible.
I think that’s a fair assessment. I’d be super curious to learn what the margins are on these phones. It must cost them so much money to produce so many different phones each year, but I suppose it’s still worth it in the end…?
True, they just added a 5g version of the stylus to the G lineup a year or two ago along with Moto G 5g. The modem almost a year into using it for WiFi isn't great as even near a signal amplifier it occasionally disconnects and connects to 4g, and don't get me started when I'm on the mobile signal and neither connects and leaves me with nothing, but public WiFi. The connectivity tangent is on the Moto G 5g (2022), not the Moto G Stylus 5g.
@@TechDaily Is it true that the A24 camera changes its quality with the update, this is what worries me about the phone I want to bay it because of the price

None of the A Series phones are better than the S20 FE phone that Samsung came out with. I have the S23 Ultra now but I had the S20 FE for 2 years and it was the best value in a phone that Samsung has ever created, it was an Excellent smartphone.

With the rumors of the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G next year, I hope the rumors are true. The A25 5G would be a better improvement over the 4G-only A24. I'm planning to buy one as the fourth daily driver (third daily driver: S22 Ultra, second daily driver: A05s, main daily driver: A34 5G).
6:13 if you're looking at the A14 5G vs the A24, do not let LCD scare you. Up against an iPhone 14 Plus the A14 is nearly like for like and it's just down to preference. I've gotten used to the PWM flicker of modern iPhones but I don't mind using the A14, in fact sometimes I prefer it - it has a cooler LED temperature, the iPhone is slightly warmer. I assume Samsung amoled is very similar since Apple uses them as a supplier.
7:07 aside from double the storage and a marginally better screen I don't see the value of the A24 vs the A14/5G. It's honestly a worse value and I agree, Samsung should have stopped splitting the baby so finely and just make the A14/24 into one thing, saving us all the headache of needing to know the differences lol

I dont understand the hate for this phone in this video, this phone is 4g because this phone is mainly targeted for asian markets where 5g isn't readily available, has an amoled display, fine cameras for the price, and cones with a potent processor, yes this is not the best phone in its price tag, but doesnt that make automatically every samsung a, m and f series phone irrelevant then?
I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 so here is not 5g technology,I think a24 best for those countries where 5g doesn't exist. I hope, you have received your answer my bro.
This is the proof in the pudding that Samsung makes too many budget phones. There is no need to have an A series, an F series *and* an M series. There is no need to have 5G and non-5G phones. There is no need to have every single tier from 0 to 5. If there was only the A1, A3 and A5, and they all had 5G hardware and the same availability between countries, Samsung would be crushing it.
The hardware difference for the same phone name is the worst part like, WHY are the 14 4G and 5G such wildly different phones??? Not even the same time it happens with the A series except last time it was the other way around as I recall
Wade for TechDaily: you seem to spend an enormous amount of time talking about the uselessness of this phone, esp. since it doesn’t offer something most people in this price-range don’t care about, anyway; i.e. 5G. Rather, I bought this phone (though I do have a budget for even the ‘vanilla’ iPhone 15), however I’m an Audiophile and, yes, coming from the Pocophone F1, I decided I didn’t want another Chinese phone, “but” I did want a phone with the 3.5mm headphone jack, …and ‘that’ point you didn’t mention “as a reason” why certain people sought out this phone, …albeit, with the weaker OS, etc..
yup i also buy because of that and used phones are a nightmare this guy have no clue, yes you can pickup one with best specs on paper but deal wih no warranty and stealed phones and devices at the verge of functional is a pain i do not want to push myself to anymore.

This darn phone lasts 1.5 days under use with protect battery limited to 85%. I bought this phone over the Xiaomi Redmi Note series because samsungs Camera Ai works wonders it really good. This guy didnt do his research. He must have thousands to spare on flashy phones but most people dont.
typical American who thinks the world is all about America... 5G frequency is only good for short distance, 4G has wider reach... as 3G > 4G and 2G > 3G when it comes to distance it can reach... which makes sense for non-urban and fully developed areas.
I've been recommending this phone to my friends who need a long battery life because this phone can easily last two days even with moderate to heavy use
I have this phone my battery dies fast
I would happily buy this over the Galaxy Folds. I’m giving apple one more year, to actually give us a New iPhone, after that I’m switching to the A24 or A25

The A24 exists to compete against budget midrange chinese competition ie Redmi note 12 & Redmi 12, Realme 10,
also some people need a decent back up phone & this fits the bill at less than $200,
Also 2023 has had HyperInflation so demand for flagships & gaming phones is iffy, so buying a teen such an affordable device for gaming makes sense,
The A14 4G is the phone that doesnt make sense to me in comparison to A04s, & next years A05s will make A1x series even more obsolete, JustMyOpinion, cheers
Yup A05s is even better than A14
I actually think it's one of the best A series phone this year, just like the A22 4G (Not the 5G!) was back in 2021. It's significantly better than even the A14 5G, except for the lack of 5G, which I think is useles on these low-end devices anyways.
True. I've never seen my A22 5g even go to 5g. It is always on 4g

There are other brands in the same price range here in my hometown, but not that many. I would still go for the A24 solely for the software support/experience. Can't let go of OneUI. My broke-ass college allowance won't allow me to go above $300.
Same bro! Smh. The one ui
Depends on your use/standard. It was decent enough for casual use with some random gaming. I pretty like mine
here in my country (Chile) Samsung sells the A24 with 8gb RAM :D (i have one for my basic needs)
What are you talking about? A24 is one of the best selling smartphones here in the philippines. A 70 series was dropped bcuz its redundant with the fe.
I have a24 black one very nice phone and i love it
I liked the A40 lineup because the phone was a bit smaller then the others so i miss that. Would love for that to return in an A series phone.
@@edussantoz9034 Dude, Samsung makes their own SoCs for A54.
@@MJ-uk6lu Samsung is not a single company theres the divisions that makes the screen, SOCs etc. and the Division that develop the device. even thought theres no such thing as infinity availability or one division may not want to make more of that SOC, etc.
@@edussantoz9034 Divisions or not, but it's still Samsung. If they can't get shit done within themselves, then just wtf they be doing? Anyway, if they are limited by anything, then it's mostly raw materials or tools for fabs. None of those are really in short supply.
If I'm spending over $500 for a phone, I don't want it to look even remotely similar to something that's under $200 or even resemble a flagship device from the same company.
for us in the middel east where there is no 5G
the A24 is a perefct device and waaay better than the A14 4g
I have samsung a24 6gb ram and it runs well.
The a24 = frame skips. The more you use it the more you see frame skips. I hate it because I am now stuck with it. Really wanted the a34 but couldn't afford it.

The color looks dope
My dad has this phone and it's actually pretty decent. He's an old guy and this is more than enough for him. He uses his phones for calls, texts, facebook, and TH-cam. He barely takes photos but it's not the worst. Super AMOLED looks gorgeous still. This phone is like for kids or old people. They might drop it from time to time and it would be fine
Is it good for Full Extreme gaming?
Most of these phones are ment for older people that want a cheap prepaid phone they can get at the store like Walmart
I Think It's A Good Phone Don't Get Me Wrong But Samsung Has Alot Of Different Types Of Phones U Got The A Series The F Series The M Series The FE Series The S Series & The Z Series Like Thats Alot Of Phones Its Good Too Pick & Choose But I Think Thats Kinda Alot All Together But In General I Think They Should Get Rid Of The 5G Name Scheme Cause Thats Starting Too Get A Little Bit Old Now In My Opinion
I definitely agree! I think they could have at most like three different A series, three different S series, and 2 Folds..and be done lol
Is it true that the A24 camera changes its quality with the update, this is what worries me about the phone
The headphone jack makes it premium

Some parts of the world doesnt support 5g. And if they do it isnt unlimited like in US. Or Europe. So it offers better specs in 4G phone on africa or in the asian markets
I do understand your point of view, but keep in mind, where you reside and carriers have a lot to do with which models are available. Here in the U.S. most carriers offer the A14, A54, S23 series, and the flip/fold phones. Of course, if you buy unlocked there are more choices, but then IMHO anyone buying an unlocked phone should do their due diligence first anyway.
Well at least it has a feature that other new phones don't have. A headphone jack.
Still bangs the iphone 15s battery out of the water though :D
I kinda regret getting the A24 when I can get much better specs from other brands for the same price. I could've got myself the Poco F5, Realme 11 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro, etc. The only redeeming quality of the A24 is that it is SAMSUNG, it is reliable, secure and I get to have 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. Though I doubt I'll have this phone for 5 years and will likely replace it with a better phone. (I'm using the A24 as a secondary phone, my main is the iPhone 14 Pro Max)
Better than nothing

Back in 2019 I had no idea about buying a phone other than a Samsung however the specifications I required were quite specific and it was during the era of affordable Chinese phones in 2019 with options under $200 plus but I decided to stick with my Samsung J7 as it remained durable and still met my needs. I found it these one is reasonable as it feels to be 2019 I would even say that this phone was a brilliant choice.
Was talking to someone about the Samsung A24. It's has caught my eye as it has a headphone jack and three slots internally

I'm pretty sure Samsung uses the revenue from the A series to pay for the production of the S series lmao.
I chose a24 over a34 because of the Headphone Jack🤣
With the rumors of the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G next year, I hope the rumors are true. The A25 5G would be a better improvement over the 4G-only A24.
I'm planning to buy one as the fourth daily driver (third daily driver: S22 Ultra, second daily driver: A05s, main daily driver: A34 5G).
The Samsung A24 is going to be a future purchase.
The A14 is pretty good. I wish Tmobile carried the A90, the only A series phone with Dex
5:20 ahh here we go. Samsung caps A14/5G storage at 64gb. This is the market segmentation - 24 gets double the storage maybe?
8:01 yeah that's dumb. A14/5G is 64gb/2gb. If you care about futureproofing both the 14 and 24 are bad value.
@@Pressbutan no one that buys a 200 dolar phone are looking to future prof bro, also makes more sense to buy 5 phones every year for the next 5 years and be good than expect a 1000 dolar one to work in good condition 5 years straight you will at least ned to fix it a lot a pay a premium for that too.

If you want the 5G Version, buy the Galaxy A15/5G It's literally the same phone but with 5G.
Video got boring when started talking about the neck thing
This is the proof in the pudding that Samsung makes too many budget phones. There is no need to have an A series, an F series *and* an M series. There is no need to have 5G and non-5G phones. There is no need to have every single tier from 0 to 5. If there was only the A1, A3 and A5, and they all had 5G hardware and the same availability between countries, Samsung would be crushing it.
The hardware difference for the same phone name is the worst part like, WHY are the 14 4G and 5G such wildly different phones??? Not even the same time it happens with the A series except last time it was the other way around as I recall
