I'm 42 and I just started boxing. I love it. Wish I had started in my 20s. I've been a weight lifter for years but boxing is whole new level. Learning peek-a-boo technique.

Thank you for the video. What are your thoughts on Everlast vs what your using ?
To be quite honest I've always felt everlast was on the cheap end as far as quality however I have never bought any of their high end bags.
I just finished filling and hanging mine, what a pain in the butt that was... The bag alone came out 130lbs with a 70lb sand filled sonotube (wrapped well with gorilla tape) in the core. Then mixed 45lbs of shredded fabric with 10lbs of shredded memory foam. Packed down with a sledgehammer, turned out really nice.

Yes, that should be plenty of bag for you, may have a bit more swing but not a big issue.
Hey buddy, that's an awesome review, but what do you think of the Contender Fight Sports bag next to it, i'm debating on the 150lbs Ringside or the 100lbs Contender bag, I'm afraid of the swing from the 100lbs. I'm 185 at my best and will be doing more MMA style training then only boxing.
You know I like that bag but it is a bit harder to the punch, it is well constructed and should last us many years. We really don’t have an issue with too much swing, I think either of these bags would serve you well.

which one to get an 80lbs or 100 lbs? 5ft or 6ft to hung it in my 8ft ceiling garage?
I will be using it for boxing and muay thai too. I already have a 45lbs round water uppercut bag and a double end bag too..I used to fight in muay thai and also did some boxing while I was still competing in wrestling. Now I just wrestle but like to hit the bags still:)
Been looking at the teardroo bags too but I think I can get more out of a full bag, what do you think?? My dad will be using it for cardio too
Definitely get the bigger one, especially if you’ll be using it to practice kicks.

Nice chanel ! Real hidden gem. Quick question coach, at almost 6 feet tall and 190lb, would I be better with a 100lb bag or this Ringside 130lb. I do boxing and also like to do some kicking drill as well. I dont like thai bags btw. Thanks.
Thank you! Yes, this 130lb would be a good option for you. I have noticed that the weight has settled a bit on the bottom of the bag so it is a bit harder but I assume its because we really don't punch that area. With your kicks however it may stay soft in that area as well.
If your bag gets hard on the bottom, that's your reminder to do some ground and pound drills. The only way to prevent sand and cloth from settling is to constantly beat up the entirety of the bag.
What is the bag to the right already exact same 150 pound bag thinking of adding the other one for upper cuts
I would go with a water filled bag for the uppercuts, they are so much easier on the joints. Thanks for watching!
Ringside has 55lbs headshot or 65lbs body snatcher... I can only do one and can't go heavier. Which one would you recommend?
Depends on what your needs are. If this will be your only bag, I would go with the body snatcher as it is a bit bigger in dimension. If you need something specific for accuracy then the headshot would suit you better.
I got the same kinda of bag like this an it weighs 150 pounds an I wanted to know is there any stands you can hang it with or how can I hang it if I cant find a stand

Yes, the rings are attached to the bag and if I remember correctly it came with the chain to hang it. I did however end up using my own chain as I needed it to be longer.
How much "give" does that heavy bag have in comparison to a regular one? I'm looking to buy the leather 130 lbs version. I got some minor joint issues so I'm looking for a softer bag.
Obijuan841 with your joint issues this may not be your best option as it really is a heavy bag, you may want to look into a water filled type bag as the water does a great job absorbing the impact thus being much easier on your hands and joints.
Bro make your own filling. Outslayer makes a 100 lb unfilled bag with a lifetime warranty for $160 that is as high quality as it gets. Get an old foam mattress topper and cut it up. Get a few bags of rubber mulch from lowes, and some pvc cut just below the height of the bag and 50 lbs of sand. If you have any old bags you can use the stuffing from it, if not you can find them cheap on FB marketplace. Put PVC down the middle of the unfilled bag. Fill with sand and cap it. Hang the bag and fill in with mulch, stuffing and foam. Now you have a bag that will either last forever or be easily replaced, and you can adjust the ratios on the filling to achieve whatever density your joints prefer. Almost all bags are sold with sandbags and shredded cloth inside. There's very little innovation. They're made that way for durability. The softer it is, the more give it has, the more stress on weakpoints, the shorter the lifespan of the bag itself. That's why I say get the lifetime warranty and fill it however you want because you likely will never find a bag sold soft enough for you.
The 200 pound one is a beast. Wouldn't recommend that one unless you're a heavy puncher because that bag fights back 😄

I’m looking into open boxing gym in my area how much square feet do you recommend to start of with and should I just stick with ringside?
That is awesome!! We started in our 2 car garage and grew from there. If you have the resources to rent a large facility then get one as big as you can afford lol if not really any size space can work. I use a little bit of everything from Title, Ringside, to Winning. Good luck!

Do it without gloves, when you have dense bones it makes your striking power SO MUCH more significant

Nice! I'm on my 5th or so bag since I started kickboxing. I've always wanted a good one, but unfortunately they are out of my price range.
I have a light one now, the 50lbs. canvas Everlast. When I get my next one, I'll save up for a good one!

Nothing really, I wipe the bags down with Clorox wipes after each session.

Not at all, we have our kiddos ages 8-12 that use and love this bag.
So should I get this bag or the hydroblast bag for my home gym?
For a home gym I would recommend the hydroblast because you can use it as an uppercut bag as well.

David Baca I’ve never owned one however I’m not a big fan of the sand or water filled bases. Let me know if you get one and what are your thoughts.
its a good bag especially the XL version, but none of the Standing bags compare to a traditional heavy bag, because a standing bag continues to move away from you. A heavybag always center itself back to the original spot, that lets you continue your training without distractions.

Oh thats a tough one, considering you probably have some serious winters! I would definitely stay away from canvas bags as they can absorb moisture. This ringside bag may be a good option for ya but I have kept mine indoors. As for gloves, I would get 16oz, title sells a ProMex brand that I have become fond of.

Mayweather has really wide boxing bags which seem to be really soft and padded. This ringside one looks the closest to those imo.
Yes, we have actually trained at the Mayweather gym and these are pretty close.

Clean up that mold with some bleach add some primer to high risk mold areas and paint with anti mold paint and you're good.
Not mold, this used to be a printing house, powdered ink everywhere lol.
