To safe the A380's future can with some slight changes for a NEO. With the problem they use 4 older type RR inefficiënt engines that burns trough a lot of fuel like airplanes that not switch to a twin yet setup and for the A380 maybe with a 2 GE9X or 2 RR Trent UltraFan engines. Also the A380-800 was developed for a stretched version the -900, therefore the plane is more robust. However nobody went for the bigger A380 so the -800 is not optimal because of the heavy dead weight. And the wings are also sub because longer wings would cause problems on taxi ways and gates. However can't they also make a new longer is better composide foldable wing and more composits within the aircraft to safe a hefty amount of weight alone of the fuselage and wings will make it multiple percent efficient and with 2 of the newest ultra bypass engines it will burn much less fuel and will safe tons of weight. So would that be enough to make from the A380 a twin yet?
@John-bi1lv They just coming with pieces of news about to revive the project. No single plane today com3s close to capacity of the A380. And some markets need those big planes like Emirates b3gging Boeing and Airbus for the biggest planes. Emirates can forget the new 777X for their old 777 and what will fill the gab of A380's. They invested a lot in it and with the right touch it can be brought back. The A380 building facilities still exist and they could restart production if they want.
Well this is so cool about new Rolls-Royce Engine for all aviation but, this is already 2025 year hope will be best than 2024 year has already end. Seens like I've been love to not any other airplane make this trouble. Maybe don't be big trouble anymore.
Rolls royce new engine has the same types of blades but blue and it has cool design made for airbus and boeing so rolls royce can stop the fight of airbus and boeing.
I don't understand the interest in open fans. It's well known that all propellers need to address tip turbulence at faster speeds and ducting is a common and proven solution. Special shapes like toroidal are too heavy and impractical for aviation. It seems to me that unless someone makes a breakthrough discovery high bypass turbofans have a significant advantage over open fans
It will be a while on this engine. Rolls-Royce has its hands full with its issues with its current engines. They have slowed down the development of the ultra fan
Rolls Royce always brings revolutionary innovations to the aviation industry, it is the best engine manufacturer for me
Its always nice to see the RR on the engine casings ....707s,VC10s,747s,L1011s, Fokker100, etc.
IDK Fokker 100 use RR engines. I love the dirty tail 100's😅😅..
I hope this revolutionary engine will be used exclusively in a new version of the Airbus A350
Really great company!!!❤
Don't you love these videos that just keeps repeating itself to produce a longer video.
This engine will be for the A350neo, the A320 replacement and 737 replacement (smaller engine for the latter two).
How does it perform in Bird strikes???
The fan blades have added thin titanium leading edges to protect against erosion, foreign objects, and bird strikes
That's the engine for the a350 -2000 and the -1000

The A380 is not coming back you just need to accept that.

Turned off at 9 minutes. The number of times the computerised voice went over the same stats was nauseating and boring.

That's right!
