    HOW TO PRAY THE HOLY ROSARY: traditionalcat...
    I highly recommend that all 15 decades of the Rosary be prayed daily, in obedience to the request of Our Lady of Fatima. This is best accomplished by praying a part of the Rosary at different times of the day, for example, the joyful mysteries in the morning, sorrowful mysteries at midday, and glorious mysteries in the evening. The Hail, Holy Queen only needs to be prayed at the end of the entire day’s rosary.
    An essential part of the Rosary is meditation on the mysteries, episodes in the life of Our Lord and Our Lady. This means thinking about them, visualizing them, considering the graces and merits displayed in them, and using them for inspiration to better know and love God. It is also common to focus on a particular virtue with each mystery, for instance those recommended by St. Louis de Montfort.
    FIND A LATIN MASS:
    To be a Traditional Catholic means to embrace and follow the Traditions of our Forefathers. Traditional Catholics must go exclusively to the Tridentine mass (not barring good eastern rites), and in charity and humility and without bitterness protest and resist the liturgical novelties and ruptures of the 1970 Missal (The New Mass).

    * Note on Latin Mass attendance: I personally recommend you find an SSPX chapel if it is available, that way the Mass, preaching, confessions, sacraments, Doctrine, morals and catechism that you will get will be guaranteed to be orthodox and fully traditional.
    If there is not an SSPX chapel near you, please go to your closest Latin Mass, just be aware that sometimes (not all the time), the preaching could have questionable elements due to the modern seminary training. One must understand that the crisis is not just a liturgical one, but a doctrinal one, rooted in the modern errors.

    I may have missed it but, can somone explain what the degrees of assent are and what do they mean practically?
    How is an ascent of intellect, will, and faith different? What would be an example of how they differ.

    Nick: I recall that earlier this year, a priest completed a translation of the Vatican II schemas, and posted the translations online. I think it would be insightful if you were to review the schemas and compare them to the documents promulgated at the council.

    The Pope is obliged to go to confession every 2 weeks as a maximum. The same as the rest of us he is a sinner, so anyone who thinks he is without sin is wrong.
    The only people created without sin were Adam Na Eve before they fell into sin and The Blessed Vigin Mary and Jesus.

    I thought ecumenical councils were protected from error by the Holy Spirit.
    Are there any other ecumenical councils that can be put under this same scrutiny, or is VII alone in that regard?

    • @thetraditionalthomist
      @thetraditionalthomist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ecumenical councils enjoy infallibility when they teach on the level of the Extraordinary or Ordinary Universal Magisterium. Outside of that, theologians do not hold that it is perfect. This would be to make the error of equating authority with infallibility. As for other councils, Vatican II is unique in being a pastoral council, however, the council of Basil taught heresy that later had to be corrected by the Popes. Hope that helps.

      @@thetraditionalthomist I appreciate you not giving me a "lofton" response. Long video, a lot to digest.
      I'm not an ultrapapist by any means, but just be careful to keep being critical of things we laypeople can be critical of. Pride is the Devil's favorite tool, and man's favorite stumbling block.
      Not saying you are. It's just something I struggle with, and the Church is in a chaotic time.
      Anyway, hopefully this comment didn't come off poorly. It's all in love. Can't wait for you to be promoted to Co-host of AB!

    A couple of questions:
    1.) What do you think of Fr. Greggory Hesse?
    2.) What do you think of his statement saying that Vatican II is not an ecumenical council but rather a pastoral council?
    I haven't finished watching this video, but I still thought to ask.

    • @thetraditionalthomist
      @thetraditionalthomist  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for watching. To answer your question.
      1. I've only seen small parts of his work, so I could not give you a really mature answer.
      2. Regarding this statement, i'd like to hear exactly what he says, however if he said that "Vatican II is not an ecumenical council but rather a pastoral council", I would say that he is making a specific a distinction. Vatican II was both an ecumenical and pastoral council. That said, aside from reiterating dogma that was already dogmatized, its teachings are only on the level of the authentic magisterium, and therefore not free from error in themselves.

    I heard the craziest thing a month or so ago that the founder of Opus Dei said about how people should "love" the Pope. He said someyhing like this: tgat for Catholics, they shoukd love the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and then the Pope. In that order. I jthought it was crazy to compare a living Pope to the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph. Mons. Escrivá never explained in the video clip what he meant by loving the Pope.

    Responding to an earlier airing, I go to a Dominican Church and am a lay member of the order… I also go with my wife to a Novus Ordo church with Hispanic priests and the cross hangs in front of the alter between the people and the priest. He also takes out of the Santorum the Eucharist and it goes on the alter during Mass. also the Eucharist is put in a holder on the alter during adoration. We also bow to the front of the church when we enter as well as genuflect before we enter the pew. We also kneel during Mass at times honoring our lord.
    Next, I agree and do not like how the modern Mass is musically Protestant with pianos guitars and drums. I prefer chant but my wife does not.

    Have you read Paul IV Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio and writings of the period including Quo Primum and Pius XII V. A. S.? Do you see their conjunction with the Abomination of Desolation and the cessation of the Daily Sacrifice, of Daniel and Mathew, with the promulgation of the Masonic N. O. MASS. Under this analysis the so-called V2 Council, the product of the automatically excommunicated, before he was selected as V2 pope, John 23, was null and void... nada. Not a Catholic council. Of no power. Have any of you read Pike's Morals and Dogma or Blavatsky's Secret Doctrine. The authors brag on worshipping Lucifer. The Father of lies. How about Alta Vendita. The V2 regime appears to have all the marbels but the Catholic Church.
