Saw rory on don kirshners rock concert one Friday night in 1973 and became a fan ever since......saw him play 8 times..................the irish hurricane always gave a great concert..

One of my favourite songs and just brilliant. Rory live blows everyone else off the stage.
I have seen many bands over the years but for pure excitement watching rory in concert was the best the best feeling in the world wsa making my way into town with a Rory gallagher ticket in my pocket knowing that I was going to watch him live in concert no-one comes close to him as a live performer and gerry mcavoy what a player he is nobody rocks like gerry mcavoy Lee Hambleton from Sheffield

How am I 40 and just now finding this amazing Legend! no wonder Gary Moore spoke so highly of him...
dj merck I'm 47 and I found out about him in 1999...4 years after he died and have been hooked ever since. It is ridiculous and unreal that he is not a household name in the United states. I personally think he blows away Eric Clapton in every way, great songs, passion, playing etc....check out Band of friends with his original bass player and Davey Knowles on guitar and vocals. Saw the the last night of the tour two days ago best concert I ever saw.

as a bass player my self i must give credit towards Gerry for playing this tune so freshly deliverd each night they went on my fav tune he does is when he plays the lick at 2:22 - 2:53 A lot of Iron Maiden Steve Harris must have Copied a lot from Gerry MacAvoys bass playing. For me Gerry Is Rory Gallaghers band, without him theres no Smoke to back up the fire.
all these guys were meant to meet n what they all give is pure fantastic music......but, yes, Gerry is one of my top people I love hearing him play Bass
