    They should have made the 4 inch adjustable sights next or a 6 inch, colt at least is making revolvers again 👍

    I love my Night Cobra, a “Night King” (Black Mamba maybe?) would pair nicely with it. So excited to try the King I have on order. Thanks Colt

    The Detective Special was the best looking snubbie that your company has ever made. That iconic upswept muzzle was a real eye-catcher. Why can't you guys figure that out?

    Night king cobra carry please. I love the features of the night cobra but its not a 357

    Hummm I've seen in old Detective's Special a original hammer schroud accessorie (Needs a gunsmith action because was fixed to revolver with three screws) Why not a integral schrouded hammer version? 🤔

    The King Cobra appears to be roughly the same size as the Smith and Wesson model 19. It is said that the model 19 shouldn't be given a steady diet of 357 magnum ammunition. There is a danger of the forcing cone breaking. What is the story on the King Cobra? Does it have the same issues or is it capable of taking a steady diet of 357 magnum ammunition? Thanks for your reply.

    You don't have to worry about dry firing these guns. They have a transfer bar safety in front of the firing pin.

    • @rylinmartini1534
      @rylinmartini1534 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right he doesn’t have to worry but that has nothing to do with the transfer bar

  • @johnnyk5
    @johnnyk5 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    +TheColtFirearms we need the King Cobra Target with a proper target-length barrel; 5”-5.5” would be just right.

    The HKS speed loader will not work with 158 gr. 357 ammo because of the stock rubber grips! All .38 ammo and lower gr. 357 ammo works fine.

    Question for Colt and others: I dry fire practice with my semi pistols. I have just gotten my hands on the colt king cobra carry. Is dry firing ok for this revolver?

    • @snorpechumgalimp8943
      @snorpechumgalimp8943 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes dry firing is ok according to Colt because it has a transfer bar in front of the firing pin.

    Now that's a nice F'in gun! I need to save some money and get it asap. Beautiful gun, keep them coming. Now all you need for this platform of a gun is to DLC coat it that would be the cherry on top but I know the price would be pretty high. I got the night cobra and its beautiful! It hurt though when I paid the 900 bucks. lol

    Nice gun, lose the bobbed hammer. What's the point of having a Dao if you still have an exposed hammer.

    The trigger stage is missing from this video and is one of the most important feature in a DAO modern revolver.

    I would love it if the DAO version had a shrouded hammer like the S&W 640 rather than that bobbed hammer.

    Be careful if you buy one of these and test it well before carrying it and relying on it to protect yourself. Bought one of these and so far it’s broken twice and it’s now being sent back to them for the second time. Colt clearly has some work to do. Glad i’ve never actually needed it for self defense….

    • @Meattemple
      @Meattemple 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Broke how?

    • @VeryAmateurBrewer
      @VeryAmateurBrewer 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MeattempleThe first time was the cylinder - it would lock up and jam over and over again (even when cleaned and lubed properly). Would jam and would not cycle about every other shot. Sent it back, colt fixed it, and it worked well for a few weeks, but then the extractor rod slid forward out of place preventing the cylinder from closing and rendering the gun useless. Just recently sent it back and got a refund, as even after the 3rd try Colt could not produce a reliable firearm. Bought a Ruger instead lol. Maybe others have different experience, but my experience with this gun was very very bad. Not sure if it’s a bad design, or just bad craftsmanship and I got very unlucky with all 3 guns they sent me.

    Need to make these in numbers where they're actually available, never seen one in a LGS. Might want to partner with Hogue to offer the same style grip with a laser option. In most handguns a light is of more use than a laser, however in a snub, a laser is almost a must for philosophy of usage.

    The man whom commented below is spot on. We have been through the barrage of carry revolvers, just bring back what everyone wants, that carrot you wave in front of our faces just to pull back. Put rea(r)l sights on your revolvers, and decent barrel lengths. I don't foresee a legitimate Neo-Python in the future, but how about an Anaconda? 6" Stainless, Ribbed Barrell, Rubber grips, ADJUSTABLE rear sight. That will likely be the next King Cobra model. I want to buy one of these guns...badly...unfortunately, the offerings that have been made available are just boring. What's next, a two tone version, come on. BRING IT!!!
