- A cool and windy day at the Jersey Shore but still great diving in Point Pleasant Beach. Water temp at 60F/15C. 25 feet for 60 minutes. As the water gets warmer the ocean comes to life. Video taken with a Gopro Hero 7 and PolarPro Switchblade Macro filter.
As a Jerseyan I approve this video 😊
I snapper fished from that railroad bridge as a very young boy with my dad in the early and mid 70s. The water was nowhere near as clear. It makes me really happy to see a childhood memory spot so clean and healthy. Thanks so much for the video post.
The water is very clear. Love those baby fluke. Thanks for posting, I've spent a chunk of my life fishing and swimming in the Manasquan (when the tide ain't rippin).
The gobies are so cute. So many precious species that need protected. 🙏🏼💙
This was the first dive I saw them on. Lots of them at this site later in the summer and fall.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
very cool marine life
The spider crab has a clam stuck on his foot
Where were you exactly? , would snorkeling or free diving work there ?
This is at the Manasquan Train Bridge. There is someone who snorkels regularly here but it won't be like snorkeling in Aruba
@@travelingwithelliot8001 thanks for the reply, I'm from Brooklyn btw and I wanted to find a good spot to snorkel at that's nearby
What’s the water temperature like from June - August here? I’m thinking about trying diving in NJ.
Right now usually 70+ degrees. You can dive it with a 3mm suit and hood
@@travelingwithelliot8001 Thanks for the reply. I'm a new diver. Just out of curiosity, could I dive it WITHOUT a hood? Or, perhaps I could, but it would be unadvisable?
@@EhCloserLook You could for most of the summer until the end of September. Water temps usually in the mid 70's. You should definitely have gloves. Unlike a Caribbean dive there is a lot of touching.
@@travelingwithelliot8001 Thanks, Elliot.
