Honda D Series Single Cam goes 8.06! | La Plomera 2022 update! | D16z6 from Hell!

- La Plomera is the worlds fastest SOHC civic and it as of now (april 2022) has broken the internet due to it running a 8.06 @ 178 mph. This car has been making good strides over the past couple of years but it even impressed the owner by running into the low 8s. This car has now become very competitive against the K series and B series cars.

SF could have the plug to that..lol since they got that B series billet block.
It needs long U bolts that wrap the mains and go all the way up to clamp the head.

@@effingwrecked1917 i didnt say its new. Just like you say.. underrated. But new is 8.06 on single cam, thats great and excited. New builds and all whats capable to do with 1.6 l engine. With single cam.
HOPEFULLY we can get enough support for machine shops to start producing Billet blocks and heads for us!
It's crazy to me that all these Honda guys are making enough power to split blocks like a diesel.

If you have a 13 sec d series I can guarantee alot of stock b series and h guys have trouble keeping up
what did you do to get it so fast how much power does it make i want my d16 to make like 150 what should i do i have a z8 head ready to go and am getting an s300
@@mickygadfly2361 throw an ebay turbo kit on it, injectors, and get it tuned 5-6 psi, you probably won't even need injectors for 150 tbh

Are you running a concrete or filled block? Or it it just a darton, Benson, golden eagle type of sleeve with no additional support?
It’s a cemented filled block. As far as the sleeves they are installed by tulipán. The exact brand of the sleeves I don’t know. This is what I know from the top of my head as I’m the video guy lol

I think you should seal the lines between the fenders and bumpers to make it look like it's one piece

Unknown, the car has not seen the DYNO. It’s estimated to be over 1000 whp due to the numbers it runs

Any idea how much power that d16 is making?
On the DYNO it only made somewhere in the 750 range on low boost so we are assuming she’s somewhere in the 1000-1100 hp range when it’s turned up on the track according to the trap speeds

Whats the purpose of having 1 block over the other if they all run the same passes?😂 a 7 sec k series, a 7 sec b series, theres about a to be a 7 sec d series and imagine if it was AWD
There’s actually an awd sohc out there pretty bad ass build, it’s not as built as this single cam but imagine if it had this motor and turbo set up on that awd lol that would be so sick
