You guys did interrupt her alot but her great mind always reverted to her point and you guys did have good stuff to add but she was the star and for some reason it turned out great because of the synergy: Especially great was asking her about her daily regimen which most interviewers forget to ask because simply put listeners just want to know what to get in their kitchen thats no different than Dr. Patick: Remember guys just simplyfy your questions and let her finish her thought process so we can understand this great stuff! Shes a brain and were mostly dummies!

Wow. Dave Asprey isn't actually full of shit as many people are claiming. I've listened to all his JRE features, read from his articles, and even read his new book. Everything Rhonda mentioned in this podcast has been stressed by Dave aswell. From the importance of regulating your microbiome and the expressions of your genes, to the ills of oxidized food. She's put in the academic time and research and essentially confirmed a good bulk of what Asprey talks about, which cleared many doubts. Yes, he's selling you stuff, but who isn't. Rogan has promoted Alpha Brain in more than 500 podcasts & Tait Fletcher is blowing up my IG feed with caveman coffee. What's important to me are facts & results, and that's what appears to have been confirmed here by a bio-medical scientist at the forefront of research.
    Great show,
    Cheers!

Spectracell's Functional Micronutrient testing is the best way to look aa nutritional status. 35 intracellular nutrients over a 6 month period. It is great she mentions vitamin testing, but it would great if she mentioned some testing. I have found this test to be the only functional long term available.

You got to love the Media. They told us Vitamins are harmful, Omega 3's give us Prostate Cancer, Dietary Cholesterol gives us heart disease and we should cut it out of our diet along with fats, But eat lots of Hydrogenated Vegetable oils because they have no Cholesterol. Any one seeing a trend here?

I'm 25 and have had bad acne since I was 12 until recently supplementing with zinc and treating the process systematically (including probiotic supplementation along with various antioxidants) with tremendous results. I read that long term regular supplementation of zinc (I take a natural picolinate tablet form) significantly increases the risk of developing prostate cancer. can anyone speak for this or direct me? getting my acne under control has helped me get my life together in unprecedented fashion. what's the good word?

L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate that's what you want. Folic acid is very hard to absorb. Just look at the ingredients: folic acid, zinc oxide, magnesium citrate only... you probably got something made in china.
You won't get much from multi one a day vitamins.
If you want quality you need to spend the money you get what you pay for.
Good quality vitamins are coming in capsules form and you need to take something like six of them. Can't get in tablet form. Same for protein whey powder get at least from New Zealand. A lot of supplement powder are contaminated with heavy metals.
I have a lot of respect for Rhonda because she knows about nutrient and stuff but the choice of supplement or the juicing stuff, it's not as good as we tend to believe.
What she says (in other podcasts) about BCAAs is awesome though.
Ps. In Canada ATPLAB multi are very good.
Check out the quality of the vitamin B too.

I like my fish oil extracted only with a filet knife. I appreciate the discussion but it seems to be consistent with mainstream philosophy of addressing complex metabolic situations with the correct, discrete application of the proper pills. From my unprofessional perspective, the chain of solutions in order of preference would be a) don't eat an unbalanced Omega 3/6 diet or b) add real food like salmon to help with a less than ideal diet and then c) take a pill and hope it does the same as a or b with no negative side effects. At the end of the day, if c) was that effective, the billions of fish oil pills consumed in the US would be moving the needle. I simply don't see why we jump to c) when getting the real thing is as easy as going to the store or buying a fishing license.

In addition to what Wheyan has stated, you must also consider the current state of the earth's oceans, seas, lakes, and rivers... Generally speaking they are heavily polluted with plastic additives (BPA/Phthalates among others) and heavy metals which unfortunately transfer to water dwelling organisms. Good fish oil supplements test for and remove heavy metals and plastic additives. Ideally we would get all our required nutrients from wild plants and animals sadly we do not live in an ideal world due to how our recent ancestors and how we (directly and/or indirectly) currently treat the planet.
