You are correct! I talk about Sounds Good in many of my videos, and this one highlights some great finds from there: th-cam.com/video/_vZk9kSOoBI/w-d-xo.html
Hey, im in Boynton! I’ve been to Rust and Wax a few times but haven’t heard of the other one. The Boynton Goodwill has been pretty awesome these last couple of years for records and vintage stereo gear!
Right on, thanks for the heads up! I haven't been to Boynton in a pretty long time. I used to work in West Palm Beach, so I'd get down there after work sometimes. But I'm in Fort Pierce nowadays.
Hey, I really enjoy your videos, you have great taste! That place is fleecing you on the prices, though, yikes - even for those titles. I'd love to see you make a video about your time in The Explorers Club. Freedom Wind is a phenomenal album.
Thanks for checking out the videos! Yeah, the prices are on the higher side at those record stores, which is why I tend to stick with my local Sounds Good Music store, they kind of underprice a lot of their albums for today's red-hot-vinyl market. I could probably write a three-act book about my time in The Explorers Club, but haven't really bothered with that yet.
Hey TH-cam recommended your Record Store Owner Tells Me to STOP BUYING RECORDS! video to me a few times. The title got me and I had to give it a watch! I thought I would watch another video of yours which led me here. I figured you had to be in Florida by what I could see, of what I'm assuming was your back yard in that first vid. Rust and Wax is my go to store and thought it was funny when I looked up that guy's address on the record. I live a mile and a half from there and the minister from the church I grew up going to lived almost directly across the canal from it, haha! I've got a vintage Al Green record with a name and address on it I did the same with. The address is a duplex in Queen NYC, but couldn't find the guy. Was just curious if there was an FB page for him or obituary. Came up with nothing.
@@motorin25 right on! I live in Fort Pierce and make a trip to Rust & Wax from time to time. They are a great record store. Small world. That’s really funny about the address. Just one of those funny weird things about what people used to do to their records.
Man, great pick ups! Ang sounds like an awesome record store. I need to start picking up some Sundazed records. Need to see if any of my record stores carry them or just order off thier website.
Nice to hear from you again, thanks for stopping by! Most of the Sundazed stuff I've found at record stores. If I start ordering off their website it'll never end. Even some of the reissues end up being pretty pricy. I have the 2008 Mono Sundazed version of "Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators."
@@giantorangerecords I saw you show I believe. Killer album. I am in Houston so I have been calling around to a couple of my Favorite stores. They seem to be around and they will order for me. Just need to do my research and stream to find what I like. I have been going through a big Jazz, early pop/ psychedelic rock and Latin jazz funk fusion. Think of like early Santana. I love percussion sounds. And strings. Playing 12 instruments myself I love weird sounding instruments done right. Lol. Well anyways Keep'em Spinning bud.
@@budsmoker4201120 Ray Barretto has some pretty cool percussion sounds. Latin jazz, a little pscyhed out at times. He plays some some well-known jazz albums as well. They recently reissued his 1968 album "Acid," but it's still going for $40+ so I haven't gotten that one yet and I may just have to keep streaming it for now.
@@giantorangerecords dope, thinks for the heads up and wormhole to dive in to. I have never heard of him. Right on, Keep'em Spinning appreciate the recommendation
@@giantorangerecords I will through you a Group check out Brownout's Brown Sabbath an Austin band and off shoot from Grupo Fantasma. Awesome Latin funk covers of Black Sabbath. It really slaps. You may enjoy.
I have been to both stores, like them both. Hey PSL has a good record store too, Sounds Good Music.

@@giantorangerecords I'm sure they did that if they were taking their records to a house party or something.
@@motorin25 right! So many of my records have people's names on them. My RL Led Zep II is nicknamed "JUDY" because her name is written on the cover.
