Thank you so, very much for the time and effort you put in on your traveling to this awesome city of Copenhagen! I now am looking forward to go visit the place myself.
Believe me, there are a lot more music shops than the ones you visited. Come back for the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. We even have a jazz festival week for children. Even at the "blue Planet" (a huge aquarium), they have jazz evenings, which my wife and I enjoy from time to time. I certainly hope you got some records with NHØP - Niels-Henning Ørsted Petersen. If not, you should. He played with a lot of the great ones, as he was a great one himself. Btw, there are a lot of smørrebrød shops all over the town, you just have to ask ordinary people., and they will guide you. Cheers, and welcome back. Kind regards
I really enjoyed your Copenhagen tour. I felt like I was there. BTW my partner who is an audiophile following you for years turned me back on to jazz. I miss living in Europe.
Great great video. You and I are similar souls - I love traveling Europe and going to record stores, museums, cafe's, parks, Jazz clubs and great food locations. This is truly living large. Thanks for sharing
Skal for the wonderful video! It reminded me of the one you did in Japan. I wish more videos like this are done with the focus on jazz. I’ve been looking for good vinyl stores in Sweden that carry jazz music, especially Swedish jazz, since my brother lives there, but not easy. Beautiful museums, for sure this is one of my favorite videos, you reminded me of Anthony Bourdain, I hope you travel more often!
You really took us on a trip with you :) I'm now looking forward to go there. I also love the way you record things, stable shots, great story telling and the music selection is outstanding 👍
Loved your vlog, even though I'm not into Jazz 😊 ! Regarding "Danish Cuisine". You've been I'll informed. There are a lot places serving other things than open faced sandwiches. (smørrebrød - smoerrebroed). Restaurant St. Petersborg and Restaurant Vita are just two of them (there are several others around CPH). Good smørrebrød at "Torvehallerne" (a food market - not restaurant) or take-away shops all around the city. Funny how smørrebrød is not our official national dish. Fried pork belly with potatoes and parsley gravy is 😲 (doesn't get more simple than that 🤣), and most of us just ❤❤❤ it! Happy travels 👍😊👍
Great video! I think it would be interesting to learn more about your archeologist career in one of your videos someday. It would be fun to learn how you got into it and what type or work you do. It's a very unique and fascinating career. Thanks!
Great video!!! Your unmistakable friendliness is so infectious. One teensy weensy omission: I am still waiting for a visit to a Bang & Olufsen store . . .
Brilliant video feel like I've been there with you,I know the determination and effort it takes to seek out these places, I've done it many times on my travels. 💙👍
Great video! I've been to Copenhagen many times and love record shopping there. Being a metal guy, Sex Beat Records is a great place for new stuff, and the owner Thomas is a super guy. Beat Bop Records is owned by Michael Denner famous guitar player from Mercyful Fate and King Diamond. I'm planning on hitting up both shops this summer.
Come back here for Copenhagen Jazz Festival🤷🏽 Ill geek out with you and show you a couple of vinyl spots more in the city anytime. Just let me know. Greetings from Philip, Vesterbro/Copenhagen.
@@Mike-zx1kx Well ya, the land & property wasn't erased or didn't disappear but the governance and laws are all a lot less fun. Some violence became too frequent. It's just gone,
You don't know the format of my audiophile in somewhere! ;-) I always fo the place and the a special follow up on the records. But I don't know if I will do it this time...still listening...
Wonderfull insight into the culture of the Wonderfull place along with live music too & the Vinyl shop finds , & share you sentiment too about the number of shops that seem to make this body art cool, I agree with you its so drab, to me it has no Finesse for male or female
Wow great great video. Such a nice atmosphere. Maybe there is a viking in you :) One of my favorite jazz tracks is by Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen - "I skovens dybe stille ro (feat. Oscar Peterson)". I also need to mention (although swedish) is "Visa Från Utanmyra" by Jan Johansson.
You know it's a classical music store when they categorise it by composer lol Also, about smørrebrød there are two types of smørrebrød, højtbelagt (the kind you buy in restaurants, food markets etc. such as the one you had. It basically means 'tall-built' sort of and is expensive) and then the kind we eat normally at home, the difference is the amount of things you put on, højtbelagt is made so you technically shouldn't be able to see the ryebread while at home we don't go as extreme but something like paté with a slice of cut meat with onions, roasted and/or fresh isn't uncommon. Also, ofcourse onions on marinated herring is a must. Some things just go well together it's like food lego, and the ryebread is dry and hard enough to counter balance the amount of different softer textures on top where wheatbread would just break apart ryebread holds it all together.
I loved Copenhagan when I visited. Beautiful city. I loved Denmark overall... I am a bit surprised you didn't stop in at the Copenhagen Bang & Olufsen store. When I was there last it was properly spectacular.
@@anadialog Too much design…🤔 Interesting comment. I’m quite the opposite… I see so much of the hifi gear around as just ugly complicated boxes taking up a lot of space in a room.
