I like that style of Tundra. I like it so much I bought a 21 Tundra Limited, nice riding truck with awesome reliable ratings and resale value !! Oh and built in San Antonio Texas 🇺🇲
The grille is bigger, but also the sheet metal has been completely redone. If you look closely, the creases and character lines are all different even though they kept the same overall shape. Other trucks may have better fuel economy ratings but my experience has been that I get 13.5 to 16 in all of them regardless of what the EPA rating is, while driving like everyone else does. I love this truck! The GMC I traded handled a little tighter, but was smaller and weaker. The back seat area of the double cab is about as big as my Siarra crew cab, but with a 6 1/2' bed. I almost bought a Ram, but the Tundra felt more solidly built. This IS an American truck, minus the socialist union b.s.AND it doesn't set itself on fire or drop like a rock in resale value. Just my opinion (the sound system could be a little better. I'll work on that).
I love the TRD Pro version of these, the 4Runner, and Tacoma. My family has stood by Toyota since 2007 with our first one being a silver '07 RAV4 and now a 2008 Camry. Maybe a truck from them later on down the road? Who knows?
The new look is growing on me especially after looking at one. I like the interior its very roomy and comfortable. I like the Ram best but find the front seats cramped for my 6'8" body.
The Tundra is an excellent truck. It just needs updating. New or revised powertrains with more gears and interior would work just for competitiveness. The quality is already there.
What the Tundra needs in order to compete against the Big three trucks would be a turbo diesel engine. You can get a Dodge Ram 1500 2500 and 3500 with turbo diesel engines. You can get a Chevy/GMC 1500, 2500, and 3500 with diesel engines, and you can get a Ford F-Series trucks with diesel engines. So, why doesn't Toyota offer a diesel engine as an option for the Tundra? Is diesel for everyone? No, not really. It may simply be a niche thing. But I believe that a diesel engine should be available for those who need, or want an engine that provides the most low-end torque for towing, while also delivering better fuel economy and a more durable, longer lasting, engine than what the American Big three are offering. :)
don't get me wrong the 2014 is epic, HOWEVER a 2011 f150 eco boost in good condition is a very economical route to take. But if your loaded get the 2014 tundra
@SanDiegoInnOut Agreed, at least they could have been more thoughtful in the design or something instead of just slapping a strip of LED on the headlights and call it cool, just like the new sentra too.
Ford ,doge and chevy still burn a lot of gas so one mile more looks good in Paper,Reality it's a Lie.so this tundra it's been proving its the right truck to work and going out.
Ford, GM, and Ram all do a lot better then just a 1 mpg with there largest V8s. Plus they don't strap that engine to the least durable half ton frame in the industry, aside from maybe the titan. The non fully boxed frame shakes like crazy in comparison to the American competition, and doesn't really offer any real advantage in return. I know of people who uses them on gravel roads who have had them fall apart, so much for the durability of a Toyota truck.
So they want a bigger slice of the pie. So they gave it a bigger grill? They should add a diesel. I don't think the Toyota corporation has diesel engines?

Most reliable truck ever made

I like it. The interior looks so much better than the 2013. It looked really cheap before.

How big and hefty looking will they keep making these things?
God i love his voice
Zero talk about the back end ie hauling stuff

I guess you missed the part where he says it tows up to 10,400lbs.
No performance stats?
The domestics not made completely in america. The "import" made 75% in america. I think we know whats the real american truck
I still love the shape of my 2012 Tundra better....but I do like the new interior of the 2014...
I understand, it gets bulkier by the year.

Lord, could they have stuffed anymore chrome in that front end? I think not.
Really all that is lies the tundra cost 50,000 and limited cost 47,000 and the sr5 cost 40,000 talking about cheap it's not 750 a month

13 mpg city and 17 hw
That's worse than a hellcat
Looks more like a chevy from the grille
The 2nd truck I'd buy if I didn't go with a Chevy first.
Diesel, make a diesel.
Frame breaking in half from rust issues in three...two...one...
They could have done a better job with the headlights. They look very cheapy
Toyota need to work harder at this.they relay on reliable too much
So they want a bigger slice of the pie. So they gave it a bigger grill? They should add a diesel. I don't think the Toyota corporation has diesel engines?
Those wheels are disgusting, the mpg sucks ass and the shifter looks like a pickle.
Looks like a cow!!
LED lights...way overused.
What a shit truck.
