Every mechanic should check your videos to lean how to work properly.. the attention to details to not scratch/damage anything and to not make a mess it's so satisfying to watch. Another great video as expected, congrats :)
Excellent video it's about time someone did this! And your attention to detail is what everyone should be paying attention to. Take your time and make it fun! I'll be doing this to my 701 soon thanks to your tutorial
@@Backend_Goat Slightly. Bike is running on point. I will make another video on how I like the cam after spending some time with the bike. Maybe a few days to a week 👍
Very nice and detailed video. Do you have any more info regarding the specs of this camshaft and would this one also fit the LC4 of a 2020 KTM 690 smcr?
Hey thank you for saying that! Much appreciated! LPR sells the cam and yea it will fit a 2020 ktm690 But you can confirm all that with LPR of course. Thanks for watching! MotoHead 👍
I can’t remember exactly how much but I did purchase the cam direct from LPR. Great cam for track imo but I found the OEM cam to be leaps and bounds better around town with more off idle Torque!! So I put the stock cam back in.
The bike ran fantastic. What I didn’t like about the cam and the basis for me installing the OEM cam back in was for the lack of low/bottom end. The cam shined in the mid and on top with astonishing results. However I had my heart set on more bottom end power on an already great OEM cam. A bit disappointed actually. But for anyone who runs on a track or who rides plenty of open road environments then this cam is definitely for you!!! The cam pulls super hard and is quiet addictive to say the least. I found my self riding in the upper 4k range on up to 7k+. I might be making another video soon going over what I experienced. In the mean time I have a cam for sale at a great price.
@@motohead5319 Nice, I have a 701 Enduro and play a lot in the deserts in Nevada, maybe once I transfer with the Navy and go to a bigger city where I’ll commute more on it! But I love your videos and keep up the great work!
@@motohead5319 Great video well done! I have also been looking at camshaft options for the LC4 693. Have you considered trying the Daniel Crower Racing cam? The DCR cam looks to have less duration and may give you the lower peak Tq RPM you are seeking.
@@Josh-gx1vp Thanks Josh! Much appreciated. I’ll look into the cam your just posted and consider it. In the mean time, let us know how it goes for you if you decide on it 👍 Thanks for watching MotoHead
Autotune made the necessary adjustments to fueling. Its amazing. Bike ram like a champ with the LPR cam but lost a some bottom end which I didn’t like. For others who like to keep the rpm’s up in the high 4’s low 5’s this cam would be great and also for guy that like to attend track days and wouldn’t miss a loss on the bottom end. Thanks for watching and posting. Much appreciated MotoHead 👍❗️
@@motohead5319 Ah okay I see. Also thought about getting the LPR cam but I don't want to miss any low rpm torque. Now I am thinking about a stroker kit to get to 85 mm stroke (from 80 mm strock) to get some more torque down low 🤔
@@kylegates4379 Give me your email and I’ll send a pic of the cam if interested in buying it. It has less than 200 miles on it and in mint condition. I’ll let it go for 400 shipped.
