    In Europe it's right around 500 euros and it's currently the cheapest 4K 144Hz option with official g-sync compatibility. My unit has great uniformity, absolutely no backlight bleed and IPS glow is only barely visible in a pitch black room, but with some bias lighting it goes away completely. G-sync works flawlessly across the entire refresh range with absolutely no stutter or flickering. It actually works better than my old native g-sync VA panel which had mild brightness flickering with g-sync enabled.

    Was waiting for this one, 27GR93u seems like a great option for ps5. Full 48gbps bandwidth, and less overshoot/ghosting than other competitors like m28u, msi mag28 and better response times at 60hz especially. The msi mag281urf is one of the cheapest hdmi 2.1 monitors with full bandwidth support, but the msi has much more ghosting so i think this LG is now one of the better options for ps5/series x.
    Update: purcahsed this on sale for $600 CAD which was a good deal. Regular $900. Its a beautiful monitor for ps5.

      Does response time still matter at 60hz? I mean all of them are below 16.6ms. So it should be 100% refresh compliance right? I think we should look at overshoot at low refresh rate.

    Is there any chance you’d be able to create a monitor review schedule of some sort for your channel? So we know what monitors you guys plan on reviewing and when we could expect to see the review. Could help me and maybe others decide on whether to buy a monitor or wait until you release a review before deciding (because we obviously all respect your opinions/recommendations that much).

I completely understand if you are looking for something that can handle more power for PC gaming or content creation but if you are a simple gamer like me that just wanted a screen that looks amazing and feels even smoother than you really can’t look any further for the price that I picked it up at.

    honestly watching this review all I could notice was how well the cooler master gp27u held up, only weakness was out of box calibration. it also has 576 local dimming zones which overall won't give you an amazing hdr experience, but for me the best use is just for removing ips glow from the corners and increasing contrast ratio in sdr mode.

      @MrCoolTheCucumber ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How is the monitor with the latest firmware? I've been thinking about getting it but see a lot of people complaining about firmware related issues, but also those comments are getting a bit dated. Do you think it's worth it? I have my own calibrator too so out of the box accuracy isn't an issue

      I have the gp27u. Nothing but problems. Look at the amazon reviews it has a terrible rating. I have 3 dead pixels and a blotch on my screen. The matte finish really brings out the glare. Way more than my dell 27 ips does. I run 2 computers and need to switch between them by changing the source and it wont switch sometimes. White text with a black background has a halo around it. If i have a line of text its a much brighter shade in the middle.

    Ive had this monitor for a week now. Its fantastic! Using it with my 7900xtx the freesync is buttery smooth. I use it as a work monitor and the text is crystal clear. I use it on my linux machine and game with linux. Everything worked great out of the box just plug and play.
    A month a go i had the cool master gp27u for a week and it had some dead pixels so i returned it for this. The LG monitor shits all over the gp27u as an all rounder. It handles reflections better. The adaptive sync feels more smooth. Text is more clear. The software works. The panel is very uniform while the gp27u felt low quality. Yes the spec sheet is better on the gp27u. But when u actually use it day to day the lg is way better. Only wish it had a usbc that charges my laptop.j

      @@MyrKnofMe as a gamer first I care the most about response time/low overshoot first.
      So I personally look at the cheapest monitors then decide which one to get solely on those response times. Unless that price point isn't satisfactory, then I increase the budget.
      IMO cheaping out is always a bad idea. For example if I'm looking for a 1440p 144Hz, I'd pay extra 50-100 bucks for a superior product, as monitors is something people change the least often I feel

I've been using the sane monitor for years (Asus VG248 no idea if it's considered good or not, bought it based on what the product description said and i had never had problems with Asus products so went for it) and whenever i look for information i find opposite opinions about the same things (i.e. VA vs IPS)

    I'm writing from this monitor, but today I'm packing it to take it back, I got for less than $500 a labor sale that lasted 3 days, first impression are good, something that reviewers don't mention is the saturated colors compare to my 27GL850 but I prefer this since it gives the punch that colors on SDR needs since switching to HDR colors loses deeps because everything is over lit so I won't get this monitor for HDR, as a SDR is fantastic, I like there is not PWM so don't worry about headaches, like I mentioned the colors are very rich and it helps on games like warzone 2 to keep trach on enemies marked on red cuz they pop on the screen more easily than my other monitor, compare to my Samsung VA mini led on HDR this LG 27GR93U gets very close on colors so I don't miss HDR you won't get the bright highlights that's all, so it's fantastic then why I'm sending it back, well the first thing I notice is I want a bigger size I had to scale windows to 200% and I usually sit further away when playing with gamepad so most of the resolution benefits gets lost, second I thought this very well, I don't want my 27GL850 anymore so I can sell it but with what I pay for this I can put a little bit more and get the LG C3 42", yes I'm not afraid of burn in, but in exchange I get the bigger size that I felt missing plus it's a damn premium TV and you can feel it, it's absurd how these monitors feel like a toy, the LG C3 can do excellent HDR it has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports and that model comes with lower input lag than C2 and better motion handling, plus it's OLED so it's gonna feel like a 180hz display. So I recommend the monitor but if you budget can go above $500 I recommend getting the OLED
