Your pickups are amazing, i own an original set of 59 Zebra burst pickups, and I know the difference, My hat goes off to you Sir, never stop building my friend, the world needs guys like you to keep the passion alive..
Thank you for your kind words!
Wen Thomas sanfte Töne anschlägt, zeigt sich seine außergewöhnliche Musikalität in ganz zauberhafter Weise 🥹
I like how Thomas test drives a guitar.
Thomas is a very tasty player, he really put those guitars through their paces. All the sounds were excellent. And it just kept on getting better the more he played!
You right. Thank you.
Probably the best sound example on the whole net of the how real paf sound..great work Thomas!
They all sound good with him playing .
Absolute monster of a player, and illustrates what a stellar job you've done with these pickups!
Thank you!
All the best from Germany! I really hope you are doing well during these horrible times in your country. I just watched the video on Udo's channel again where he is playing this AMAZING Stephanie guitar that you built and i was blown away again!
Keep on rocking and doing your great work!
Great players like Thomas Blug have a way of sounding superb on pretty much any guitar they play.
You are absolutely right
That GOLDTOP was the clear winner for me! It had that "tele on roids" tone i want.Loved everthing about its tone and i have to ask
Who in the hell put two genuine PAF's in a 70's gibson??? WTF? talk about putting Pearls on a pig!😁
Thank you. I think that in this case you should definitely try my PAF Goldie or 59 clone. You'll be surprised how they can get the right sound out of the wood of a guitar. 😉
@@8BombCustom Yes i am definitely intrigued!👍 I have a 2018 Historic R9 vos that would be a good fit for a set of these.
Is "Javelin" the name of the Goldtop or the PAF set?
@@These_go_to_eleven_1959 Javelin it is a name of that Goldtop (this time my no 1 guitar), Goldie it is my PAF model. 8bombcustom.com
@@8BombCustom Thank you 👍
Great vid. Awesome playing. Couldn’t distinguish the two pafs apart tbh. Maybe a little higher end on the GT.
Thank you
"Das is outheller"
"ya"
"ya"
I have no clue what they're saying but yea I agree
great! how can I buy one? or have one of my guitars adapted to you're specs?
hey, i haven't messaged in a while, hope you're doing well? glad to see you're getting noticed by the wider world, another great video my friend. take care.
Thank you!
Came for the pickups stayed for the out of this world playing
Thomas is a genius tone meister
Pas que les micros la guitare entiére , pas fini tous sa, sa commance 🤠💥👌👍
These were some very nice guitars, I preferred the sounds from the goldtop, however, the riff that Thomas played may have influenced my preference!
Hello. Thank you. There is no unequivocal answer to this question, since there is no unequivocal answer to setting up the amplifier. There are only patterns, and everyone determines the level of influence and settings for himself based on preferences and tasks. Some people like a brighter attack and wider dynamics, others like a more compressed signal. I usually start adjusting the pickups with their overall height to balance them in volume. Further, if I need to increase the attack and brightness, I raise the coil screws, balancing each pair of strings. This is good for the neck position. Next, I move on to adjusting the bridge coil screws. Here I like more compression because the screws are tighter. This adjustment largely depends on the characteristics of the pickups and the degree of resonance of the wood. In each case, the adjustment is different. There is no clear rule for this.
loved all 3!, but man that red one is great! Difficult to say if it's the pickups or the whole ensemble of guitar and electronics.
Yes. Thank you.
Great Great Great !!!
Strat sounded the best gold top was the best Les Paul and the red one that has a big mid-range I don't know what I'm listening to, what pickups or what. I just identify each guitar. as far as Les Paul's go to the gold top had clearest top end. the red one had a lot of mid-range was thick in the mids. I don't know what the difference is between those two guitars, but when he plug the strat in it seemed to have the most presence
Thank you
I agree about the GOLDTOP being the best sounding LP in this! What is it with those GOLDTOPS?
Seems many late 50's GOLDTOPS sound even better than most Burst's?
Nice! But did all the guitars have 50's wiring or was some 60's (modern wiring) because some old burst Gibson's are also with 60's wiring aka modern? 50's wiring sounds brighter also when volume and tone are at 10.
My two guitars have '50 wiring. Can't say for sure about red one. But I think so too.
@@8BombCustom Pretty sure red one has 50's or it sounds like and cause how it cleans.
Amazing sounds!
Thank you
8 bombs have more dynamics and transparency and the response to the pick is much more interesting❤
Thanks for another interesting video! 😀👍
Thank you
Amazing tone, plus, as I have told you before, Dr. Nitro, you can carve an authentic maple top better than the Gibson Custom Shop.
Thank you!
Stunning tones!! 👍👍
Thank you.
Where’s that pedalboard amp this Cat was supposed to make🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Difference is clear. Old wood plus PAF's rule!
Using a Multi effects pedal?
I thought so too at first 😁 but it turned out to be not so simple. Thomas plays through his BluGuitar Amp1 and it is a completely analog nanotube 100 watt amp. Soon I will have a review of this device on the channel.
Where's the amp?
The "real-one" has a bubbley character, not so 1 dimensional. I like the falt 1 dimensional tone for live but the bubbley PAF is difficult to replacate.Have you made any P90s yet? The Stratocaster knocked it out of the park!
Thank you. Yes, I have experimental p90 model. th-cam.com/video/U9a4HT8YaN4/w-d-xo.html
so nice to know german with this video hehe
Thank you
Супер 👍🏻 давно смотрю твой канал, твои работы просто бомбические👍🏻 звучат просто слов нет как круто
Спасибо
Impossible to really notice the difference with all that gain
Real ones win, even through a modeller. Why can't they hear the thickness in the upper mids? Everyone misses that. And I mean EVERYONE.
For me yours gold top sounds better than real 59.
Thank you 😊
Red Guitar sounded best by a mile
sounds great... too bad he didn't use a real amp though
It sounded great because he did use a real amp 😉
The BluGuitar Amp1 is a 'real amp'.
After over 40 years of professional dedicated Marshall valve amp use, I've finally discovered something that gives me all the tone without all the backache.
To quote one review regarding the technology...
"The solid-state analogue front end runs into a power stage, the front of which is designed around a miniature military-style, Russian dual-triode valve and dummy load, to create the ’tube’ character. This very long-life valve ‘Nanotube’ is soldered to the circuit board, so there are no sockets to cause problems. After this comes a Class-D output stage that does the heavy lifting. The circuit design is a little bit special - it’s designed to replicate the current feedback and power-supply-sag characteristics of a traditional valve output stage, so that it reacts correctly to the loudspeaker load and power level."
Actually, that's what I thought at first too. Only on returning home did I find out in more detail what kind of box it was. And I was very surprised at what it can do. I'm a vintage guy and a tube amp has always been the rule for me. But what the AMP1 does is everything a big vintage tube head does. And it's not a digital device. I think soon I will make a review on this amplifier. What Thomas designed is as cool as his guitar playing.
@@8BombCustom I’ve got one and I got with it, it’s amazing. And Thomas would not use or sell crap. His involvement alone is a testament to its quality
Why do you talking when man plays guitar!
So the Red Paula was a 70s with 50s PAFs and the others are yours with your PUs? For me wirh earplugs listening the Video the Goldtop and the Red one Sound the Best... the other are a little less Dynamik and sweetness but they very close! Very good Job ! Thats great Pickups... really really well... 👍🏻
Thank you!
Makes you wonder who was the genius that decided to put real PAF's in a 70's Gibson? What a waste of amazing pu's!
Dear Aleksey, I just watched your video on your russian chanel. It is a big shame that handfull of scumbags made you close it, but still it's a right choice if those screwed victims of abortion make you feel physically bad. I still have your 59 pickups and still wait to put it in my guitar that's in construction. So I won't say goodbye. But I'll say thanks for all the information. See you
Thank you my friend!
completely agree
