You've discovered one of the most productive baits for central Texas rivers. I prefer the action of the strike king rage swimmer. It's got better action at slow retrieve.
That is why the Keitech Swing Impact Fat is my absolute favorite paddle-tail swimbait. I also prefer the belly-weighted EWG swimbait hook, but since I fish a lot of grass and lily pads, I prefer the hooks that have the screw lock on the eye, I usually change out the screw lock to a bigger one, it really helps keep the lure in place much longer.
Nice day!!! Had my best day 2 days ago. My 22 yr old son and I spent about 3 hours walking a pond and caught 15 bass and a warmouth! (9 bass and the warmouth were mine!) Our biggest was 18 1/4", we had no scale with us.
Keitechs are the go-to paddle tail swimbaits for sure. Glad you found that pattern on catchin em Greg! We’ll probably be hitting the Delta this Friday again.👍🏼
good luck man, been rough past couple days for me especially with the wind but did get a double up striper today haha. hopefully it picks up for you guys!
Hi Greg. Love your vids thanks! Are you still going to make it back to N.Y.and Cayuga lake soon? Not sure if you can pull it off with everything that is going on.
Thanks Cindy! Things have definitely changed. I'm probably cancelling my planned trip to NY in May but I'm going to try and reschedule for June. Just gonna play it by ear
Dude I bought a bunch of keitech fat shad after this last month. Caught so many multi species bass using the tapered spring swimbait hooks and saved more bait with twist on tapered spring.,
Hi Greg..great video. I have a question in regards to the titan 10.5 and the slayer 10.5...I am trying to see which one to pick up...I do a lot of similar fishing like you..since you have both...advice?
Keitch are 1 of my favorite, try a river 2 sea dwalker last longer and great body roll and tail movement. Switch to screw in beast hook underspin .. 1 dwalker lasted all day with a few stripers in the mix.. u will be suprized i was
Tournament type outing!!! 👍👍 Have you ever done a casting count?? It really looks like you are really fit the way you cast all your baits. Thanks again for the trip and peace to you .
Those kitech are the best in my opinion i use them all day, just plastic is to soft so you blow through them after every second bit for the most part, great vid
Do you ever find that leaving your pedal drive down causes extra drag when you cruise around on your torqeedo? Just wondering why you choose not to put it up when you're not using the pedal drive? Awesome video! Thanks
oh my gamaktsu hook keeper boxes have arrived. i bought both the shallow and deep. my ned's & shaky heads look like little soldiers lined up for inspection lol
Greg, not to question you but to show the difficulties of the Delta. How many times has a "Pre-Fish," worked out for you? Is Mike Ioconelli correct when he says "You cant fish yesterday's fish?"
Nice fish man! Love the videos, I’m from Lodi and have been trying to find good spots in the delta to launch at that’s somewhat near me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I think almost all delta launches are open to kayaks since most have a pay box. places that also have camping/RV sites like tower park tho i'm not sure
Hey Greg not sure if you already have one but you should look into getting a polarizer filter for your GoPro cut down the glare from the water.. keep it up man love the videos
Always bring kel-tech swimbait during early or during spawn for sure you will definitely catch bass. Was out at the delta 2 years ago and was catching 5+ pounder all day with kel-tech swimbait.
would love to see him actually target fish on a swimbait, but it's very very hard from a kayak since at least with the hardbaits you need to make very accurate casts and be able to see high up to locate followers. and if you get bit it's hard to land em sitting down.
Nice vid! I like to throw them with a 5/0 3/16 oz screwlock the baits last a lot longer and swim better...I think...... ps that is a must throw all spring...all year really
Lol Greg finding out about Fat Swing Impact and finally understanding the hype! You should rig it with a Owner Beast or the Flashy Swimmer...and whenever you start getting grass growing up going to the Easy Shiner on a Dirty Jigs Finesse swim jig is the ticket!
Lol just glad to see you’re on the Keitech band wagon!! They’re legit my go to bait at all times. Swimming them, dragging/hopping bottom, weightless and let them hit it on the fall...
Hey Greg, I have a quick question for you, which scale are you using? I’ve seen it a few times but haven’t seen you put a link up. Keep doing what your doing!
Just wanted to give you a tip. I live in mexico and when we get those conditions grab a split shot rig with a watermelon magic or green pumpkin magic and hold on. Greetings
In CA, we have red eye bass. They look more like spots. Spots and smallies have been known to mix with largies in the delta to create "mean mouths". They don't get very big, but they're aggressive like spots and smallies and grow faster.
I have many more GB vids in my Playlist I haven't watched yet. It's awesome to see the inspiration he's brought us all. With our kayaks, accessories, his different arsenals, techniques, and everything else he's progressed with this sport. 💯 🛶 🎣
Nothing is better than waking up an realizing that our main man Greg dropped another video
Watching with my morning coffee.
Sorry I took this one down so quick OLA. Hope you were able to finish it but if not maybe with this mornings coffee!
Me too
Honestly my favorite TH-cam . Love your videos . I learn a lot from you
thanks man! glad to pass along knowledge as I myself learn
Bassin03 my fav too
11:38 awesome to see the bite on the rod, great sequence.
That hookset though
Love the swing impact and the Easy Shiner! One of my favorites.

I always have an Exoswim tied on rigged the same way. I put a red bead on between my bobber stopper and my knot just for the splash of color.
Once again great video those rough slow days of fishing sure make you enjoy the days when they slam anything!!!!
Nice!! Another good video as always.. I fish the kietechs on a owner screw lock swimbait hook...they hold up a little longer..
Awesomeness! Started raining there a little bit front coming in might have turned them on
Great way to start day 15 of the "shelter-in-place" thanks a bunch Greg!
Thanks John! hoping to get as much fishing as I can in until they close off everything out here
Greg with 2 video drops?? i know where my next 28 minutes will be spent🙌🏼🙌🏼
You jacked them Greg. Awesome when you find the pattern. We use those keitecs for barramundi. Just the bigger ones though.
Thanks for putting the rear camera back in play. Much better.
Awesome video, you had em goin! Keitechs been producing for me lately as well!
Those are my most favorite swimbaits. And also the electric shad color is really great. I also like the easy shiners to. They work really great.🙂
Keitechs are the go-to paddle tail swimbaits for sure. Glad you found that pattern on catchin em Greg! We’ll probably be hitting the Delta this Friday again.👍🏼
good luck man, been rough past couple days for me especially with the wind but did get a double up striper today haha. hopefully it picks up for you guys!
After trying everything it feels great to get the bite going. Great video you can’t go wrong with the swim baits
That Keitech Electric Shad is always a good go to bait.
Keitech is an awesome bait...nice work Greg!
Dude I bought a bunch of keitech fat shad after this last month. Caught so many multi species bass using the tapered spring swimbait hooks and saved more bait with twist on tapered spring.,
When they’re biting the swimbait it’s always a good day! solid video as usual 👊🏻👊🏻
Great video Greg and Keitech sure were slaying them 👍🏼
Wow! Way to figure it out. Totally killed it! Thanks for the vids.🎣
Hi Greg..great video. I have a question in regards to the titan 10.5 and the slayer 10.5...I am trying to see which one to pick up...I do a lot of similar fishing like you..since you have both...advice?
I use an 8lb. dumb bell as well. It's perfect, it doesn't get caught up in brush or trees like a grab anchor
Keitch are 1 of my favorite, try a river 2 sea dwalker last longer and great body roll and tail movement. Switch to screw in beast hook underspin .. 1 dwalker lasted all day with a few stripers in the mix.. u will be suprized i was
Those things catch fish every day for me, most times better than the senkos.
Great video.
I agree, I keep one tied on all the time
Nice bag! What's the water temp?
Tournament type outing!!! 👍👍
Have you ever done a casting count?? It really looks like you are really fit the way you cast all your baits. Thanks again for the trip and peace to you .
Thanks Leo! I have not but it'd be an interesting stat to take note of
Those kitech are the best in my opinion i use them all day, just plastic is to soft so you blow through them after every second bit for the most part, great vid
Constantly coming with great content. Greg your the man.
Hey Greg, If you don't mind me asking... what's your rod/reel setups that you used in this video.
no problem, GURU Glass chatterbait rod, 7.1:1 Shimano curado, 15# seaguar invisx
When you get your Burrita, You must go with Carnitas!! Its my favorite!!
Do you ever find that leaving your pedal drive down causes extra drag when you cruise around on your torqeedo? Just wondering why you choose not to put it up when you're not using the pedal drive? Awesome video! Thanks
nope, i've tested both ways! also, i would rather it something on my pedal drive over my torqeedo lol
Greg, you’re the reason why I purchased a Titan! How often do you fish a week?
Awesome man! I'd say 2-3x/week
Thanks for the uploads Bro
thanks for watching Billy
Get you some large centering pins for those keel weighted hooks my guy! Tight lines!
oh my gamaktsu hook keeper boxes have arrived. i bought both the shallow and deep. my ned's & shaky heads look like little soldiers lined up for inspection lol
Love keitech swim baits. Also, you are about as good as ive ever seen with calling weights on fish. 👏👏
what video does he show his flipping jig/trig set ups please. thanks
Greg, not to question you but to show the difficulties of the Delta. How many times has a "Pre-Fish," worked out for you? Is Mike Ioconelli correct when he says "You cant fish yesterday's fish?"
Hey Glen. I got a pack of Big Bite baits warmouth per your recommendation from an earlier video. Any suggestions on how to rig would be great
nice! drop shot setup with a 3/0 EWG hook texas rigged. hopefully that made since
i run the screw lock hooks with my kietechs allows me to get a few more fish out of each one
Awesome video. Some really nice bass.
thanks Kevin, good day for sure
Nice fish man! Love the videos, I’m from Lodi and have been trying to find good spots in the delta to launch at that’s somewhat near me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Keitech is my favorite bait. Yes
I’m from San Jose and all local lakes are closed to kayaks. Where can I launch at the delta? I’m itching to get out!
I think almost all delta launches are open to kayaks since most have a pay box. places that also have camping/RV sites like tower park tho i'm not sure
Right on 👍🏽
Hey Greg not sure if you already have one but you should look into getting a polarizer filter for your GoPro cut down the glare from the water.. keep it up man love the videos
Interesting idea. I wonder if you'd actually be able to see the fish tho? that'd be sweet!
Greg Blanchard Only one way to find out!!
Always bring kel-tech swimbait during early or during spawn for sure you will definitely catch bass. Was out at the delta 2 years ago and was catching 5+ pounder all day with kel-tech swimbait.
What area of the delta are you fishing ? Thinking of going out Saturday with my kayaks
East delta in whites
You should do a series where you try to catch a double digit.
would love to see him actually target fish on a swimbait, but it's very very hard from a kayak since at least with the hardbaits you need to make very accurate casts and be able to see high up to locate followers. and if you get bit it's hard to land em sitting down.
That bass almost looked like some of the bass around our lakes kind of a mix between a black bass and a smallie more of a gold tint on the sides
Mannnnn, barely caught this today!!!! I got all angry there for a min. Trying to figure it all out & whatnot. Thxs as always sir.
Way to grind it out and find the pattern, you matched the hatch!
well done. what's your retrieve? slow and steady or sporadic twitching?
for this outting it was definitely slow and letting it tick the bottom
You put the smack down bro!!🤘🤘
Gotta ask what's up with all the water in the kayak haha
What test pound are you using
Killen at the end,and a red eye bass to boot nice.
Nice vid! I like to throw them with a 5/0 3/16 oz screwlock the baits last a lot longer and swim better...I think...... ps that is a must throw all spring...all year really
Where are you launch your kayak in this video man ? And that was a great day 👍
Where did you get your rudder handle. Is it custom made?Is it aluminum?
yep, custom aluminum handle. Next Level designs on facebook.
Lol Greg finding out about Fat Swing Impact and finally understanding the hype! You should rig it with a Owner Beast or the Flashy Swimmer...and whenever you start getting grass growing up going to the Easy Shiner on a Dirty Jigs Finesse swim jig is the ticket!
yep, gotta step up my hook game but these are all I had on hand lol.
Lol just glad to see you’re on the Keitech band wagon!! They’re legit my go to bait at all times. Swimming them, dragging/hopping bottom, weightless and let them hit it on the fall...
What lure cover/wraps do you use on your rods

Bait Sack - amzn.to/2q2OLxD
Hey Greg,
I have a quick question for you, which scale are you using? I’ve seen it a few times but haven’t seen you put a link up. Keep doing what your doing!
Scale - amzn.to/33OXymp
Berryessa has a lot of 1/2 breed ,large to spot and spot to smallie.
yep, caught a few, pretty cool looking fish
i put screw locks on my waited hooks. my keitech's lasted a lot longer. owner's come with them. cool video.
Craig Gilcrest yeah, screw locks are a must to make them last
Love your videos your super dope keep fishing ✌️
Nice video brother. Keep it up 👍
I havent seen you use the Fish sticks recently. What kind do you use if you still do?
still been using the KVD fishsticks crawfish, just not showing it in the videos i guess lately. been putting it on my bedding baits tho
That's how ya do it by sticking with the changes !!!
Great catches. Yes the delta is heating up
Thanks Jeff. Yep, hopefully we can still fish it during this time
Greg Blanchard....when I can’t fish by myself on a lonely beach or lonely river the world as we know it is over.
2 vids 1 mornin I can dig it...🎣🎣🎣
What kind of hook where you useing and the worm
everything should be linked in the description
Great video. I enjoy your tips. Keep up the videos
Nice job Greg.👍.Delta will be on fire for a while now.
Just wanted to give you a tip. I live in mexico and when we get those conditions grab a split shot rig with a watermelon magic or green pumpkin magic and hold on.
Greetings
Was out there last sat and caught bunch of 2, 3 and 4lbers and limit on 2 stripers man did the kietech do some damage lol
Thumb down for bed fishing
I like my Keitech, but they rarely last more than one fish.
Hi, what set up use with keitech swimbait??
GURU Glass chatterbait rod, 7.1:1 Shimano curado, 15# seaguar invisx
Man so much fun . Im jealous
Nice video 👍
Try feeding the hook eye up threw your kiethech b4 u tie on it'll last longer almost like a tube
good tip man, appreciate it
Whats your frogging setup?
rod is a discontinued denali lithium frog rod but reel is 8.5:1 curado K, 50# powerpro braid
What has your temperature been like there?
been around 60 degrees give or take 1-2 degrees each day
Personally I like seeing the big girls gettin weighed. Keep up the awesome work Greg 🤙👍🤟
Thanks Matt! for sure, been enjoying weighing them myself, adds a new perspective!
Use medium or large CPS springs from owner, it won’t eat up the keitechs as quickly
Great day! You whacked’em!
What are those bait holders called?
Bait Sack - amzn.to/2q2OLxD
Wow wow exellent ! Bro
do you like that pink senko? and what LB test is your fav for chatter
Just testing it out, I've only had 1 day I can remember where I did really good on it but i usually like black/blue. 15# for chatter line
Red eyes from where I’m from are rock bass but that bass looks nothing like a rock bass lol great video Greg 👍🏻
In CA, we have red eye bass. They look more like spots. Spots and smallies have been known to mix with largies in the delta to create "mean mouths". They don't get very big, but they're aggressive like spots and smallies and grow faster.
Henfishitydog 10-4 I know if a rock bass could get to 5 pounds he would tear your best rod up lol
Always hate the wind when im on the kayak 😩
for sure, definitely not fun and when there's a low tide and its nothing but weeds makes it tough
I have many more GB vids in my Playlist I haven't watched yet. It's awesome to see the inspiration he's brought us all. With our kayaks, accessories, his different arsenals, techniques, and everything else he's progressed with this sport. 💯 🛶 🎣
Go find surfacing seaweed that come off the bank about 3-5 feet and that is where the big fish are at.
This video was hidden by TH-cam... I just found it by accident.. no notification.
Yeah, I think because it went live early and took it down then put it live this morning, TH-cam apparently didn't like that
