- Welcome back to another episode of Thunder RC! This is a recap video showing off the differences between the Traxxas Xmaxx and the Arrma Kraton 8s EXB. Both of these truck are pretty much in stock form minus the electronics and gearing. The Xmaxx and Kraton 8s battle it out off the Death Ramp and then we take their battle to the sand at the beach! Which truck did the bash best? In the end it is a tough decision to make as to which RC Car is the winer of this battle! Enjoy!

Great vid. Just got my 8s Kraton a few weeks ago. Had it out at the motocross track a few times and loads of speed runs around the shop after work.

Awesome video and comparison of the Kings of Monster trucks. I think the Kraton did better in the air due its low profile. But the XMAXX was a totally beast on the sand. I would definitely own both if I had the money. Thank you for sharing your wealth of RC knowledge.
I can’t believe that K8 held up! Mine used to break if you look at it wrong. That’s the reason I sold it. Loved driving it, but got tired of replacing shock shafts, arms, chassis, etc. From personal experience, I say the Xmaxx is the bashing king. All day.
The xmaxxs will always win in Bashing! Yes, if you don’t land in Kraton, right, it will break instantly.🚀⚡️😱😱🔥🔥

Cool comparison, I have now owned 2 X-Maxxes i got my 2nd one last Friday used in a trade for my Sledge, 4-Tec 2.0 and 2nd and last 2wd Slash. I ran my new to my X-Maxx this afternoon at my neighborhood green belt and it dominated the green belt it drove really well.

I know this is am older one, but for this bash especially the Kraton whooped that TraxA$$ all day! Don't get me wrong, love my XMaxx for Durability, bad landings, and smiles.... But this wasn't close.... At least THIS video.

Honestly I've said this before many times. If Traxxas would make rollers so I didn't have to buy there electronics I would say there really close. But having to spend the extra few hundred on a xmaxx then buy the electronics and few other tidbits for upgrades just doesn't make sense to me. I love my Xmaxx but the Kraton is just so much more fun for me to drive absolutely beast. Great vid thunder.

Thank you, brother! Yes, I have put 1100 KV motor in my X max with the MTC motor mount. I did not like it because the truck to be a lot heavier and I had a lot of breakages.😱🔥⚡️⚡️🏆🏆

Both cars are awesome. The max will win and durability every time but the crate and success flies and drives way better!

M2C on the Xmaxxs really doesn’t work. It makes the truck way too heavy and because of that you have a lot of breakages.
I don’t promote products for nothing in return. The parts are great but they are not needed on any truck. My target sponsorship is actually rc car brands. It seem you change the Xmaxx characteristics too much to be a fair fight. Then again, the Kraton seem such a beast with the bigger motor too. I thought this is a battle right out of the box.

I would take the xmax the looks are there the out of control tearing up the sand it's just a exciting rc truck. The Kraton is awesome but it seems to effortless for it driving on the sand it don't look as fun..

Kraton is kang! Stock vs stock didn't last long, it never does. The plastic one falls apart too fast and needs upgrades to keep it going.

Well no upgrades on K8,completely stock as u said but u did multiple mods to Xmaxx so not really fair!
For stock u have to give it to the K8, how can u not? U did say at beginning of vid that they were going to be running stock but then immediately said u did the drive shaft in Xmaxx, then went back and did more mods.
K8 has to take win for just the basis of of the vid
The Kraton, a desk was basically stock minus the motor and ESC. It had a very powerful set up. Where is the xmaxxs only had a hobbywing Max 6 Esc. The only mods I did to the xmaxxs with change the gearing, that’s it.
