Amazing and the habs with hatches will work so well with Place Doors Yourself and the relevant patch. Also i agree with the lighting on the bottom of the cockpit. It looks a little washed out when compared to the landing bay.
Something I forgot to mention in the video, I also fixed the texture zfighting in the Battle Station habs, and a few various other improvements...now I'm gonna get back to work on getting a few Pre-Made ships into the game...fingers crossed I won't have any more CK crashes like I did yesterday....maybe knock on some wood for good measure.

Ok to help you bro, look at this mod Author rux616 his mod ship vendor framework, oh and please make sure the ships add to enemies level list is compatible with Dark Universe crossfire mod by kaos_nyrb please because this mod adds 30 plus poi ship Encounters, a lot of players use this mod.

So I just started combining some of your pieces with Elionoras and some vanillas..I dig the weapons I dig the hab ideas so I could request a couple of adds woud be a furnished version of your regular habs and for the stairwells to have points of entry on all sides the current version sorta limits their impact and dang I love the bar..solid solid work👊👏👏👏

Still easily the best shipbuilding mod on Xbox so far, and absolutely one of my favorite mods! If I could make a suggestion whenever you have the time could you perhaps look into adding different varieties of turrets cuz I like to have turrets on my ship and there are only like two or three different varieties of turrets with your mod that I'm aware of I would also love to see different ship Landing Bay varieties as well I like your Deimos redesign definitely but I would not mind more Nova Galactic or other ones I actually scratch built a custom ship using mostly Your Parts a couple days ago and it's a really nice little fighter craft it's only got like three habs it's fairly small but it looks really good and boy does it pack a freaking punch I love your mod a lot!

I'd like to point that there is a lot of work behind this mod, most of items are new designs and its time consuming to make all the snap points, interiors, exteriors, lighting, collision etc etc. Many many many many (sounds like Leslie Nielsen here ) Thanks for your effort and contribution to our happiness!!! There is only one thing i noticed (in the older version ) and i believe is from the excessive use of lighting, its a little sluggish in the item design browser, if this is fixed on this new version it will be a perfection! (64gb ram rtx4070ti Ryzen 5950 pc here).
A few of the models still need some polishing and trimming to make them better on performance, I've reduced the performance impact on quite a few of the models, but some still need more work, especially the battle stations, the Mhabs and the Ahabs and possibly the new cockpits as well, but all will come in time, my next update is going to be focused on those kinds of improvements, and fixing a few minor snap point issues I've seen over the past couple of weeks. I plan to methodically go through every piece in game and note any that are missing snap points or if they have them in the wrong location, as well as testing each one for performance issues and working on their models to improve them.
You are an absolute legend. Cant wait for V3 to be released. Really looking forward to the cockpit and ramps. Wonder how far out i can get the cockpit if i just link multiple ramps between the hab and cockpit🤔. Make it like a long assed turtle neck
I have to be honest, I was really excited to try the new cockpit when I saw the video and was expecting a good first-person view from it, but the FP view is rather underwhelming. The view is blocked both top and bottom, making it similar to the Viking cockpit, a bit taller, but still similar. Maybe it's me really wanting a cockpit with a good FP view in all directions, like the Starborn OG cockpit and this is what I was expecting from this but, unfortunately, it's not it. If you would make the top and bottom front part see-through, use the Starborn pilot seat without consoles, make the pad where the seat is placed see-through and position the pilot more centred vertically, you would have a fantastic pilot view, better than even the SB ship. You need to see up and down as well, not only left and right. Also, I'm experiencing crashes when installing more parts from your mod on Xbox. Only using this cockpit makes the shipbuilder run at 10fps. When adding more parts, it becomes unstable and crashes to homescreen. Maybe unifying the meshes for each part would help with performance. I hope you won't take this the wrong way and that you welcome criticism. I love most of your stuff but I was expecting a really good FP view from this cockpit and it's actually more restrictive than other vanilla cockpits. The interior is absolutely fantastic though.
I agree it's not as good of a view as I thought it would be when I was designing it, but I think it's partly a poor Fov issue with the game, that said I've already been looking at making some improvements to it, but when I'll release is still too early to say.
@@matilija That’s great news regardless of the timeframe. The game needs a cockpit with a great FP view like the SB one (can be even better if the floor is see through), it doesn’t even need to be huge - the Ares Bridge is a good size could accomplish that if it was done a bit different. If you’re going to make the whole front see through, top and bottom and use the SB pilot seat without the consoles (or just remove the consoles from a normal seat), you should get close to a full screen FP view. On another note, the large pieces can crash the game on Xbox. I know it’s more of a system issue, not being able to handle the amount of data (meshes, polygons, vertices and whatnot) but it would be great if you could find a way to lower these so the game would still run smooth with your big parts in. The smaller ones have no issues. Ah, almost forgot, it would be great if you could add top and bottom access to your habs (including the 2x1, 3x1). Thank you for not taking my criticism the wrong way.
In the engineering hab. I'd just remove the center console, and leave the room open with the four chairs, as that whole setup would look like something out of the Alien films if it were more open like that.
Would love to see a slim docker option that attaches to the Starboard/Port of a hab module. Vanilla side dockers are quite limited/bland, and I haven't seen any other mod-made dockers that attach to the side.

I do have a wish list request if it's possible and not difficult to do, but I was wondering if you could make one of those cool C Class engines a usable as a equipment or booster item so we can have the look and feel of more engines? Xbox Series S Creation V3 downloaded, but does not have the CPS500RU Bridge Command. Did I miss something? Also how to use the pods system? Thnx in advance.
Just noticed on V2.05 (Xbox). The clear 1x1hab has a door missing (that faces the front of the ship when placed). When you walk out the door, it ports you to the cockpit. Which isnt a major issue. Looking from outside the ship in space the door is there. But from inside the ship its not. Let me know if you'd like a couple of pictures to show what i mean
It's just a gap filler for under ramps, originally this mod started as a DerreTech expansion mod and it was designed to go under the DerreTech ramps, and in May when the update broke both the original DerreTech and this mod, I decided since I had so much work to do just to get it working again, to change it from an expansion that relied on another mod to a full blown self contained mod and simply didn't remove the ramp supports figuring I would eventually add ramps, and now I am, I may change the model on the ramp supports in the future to better blend with my ramps, but for now I'm not worried about it.
Ho I seen a build on another video showing this huge massive cockpit that is apparently in v3 but I cant find it I'm on xbox and was looking from my darkstar landing pad ship builder. Are they on xbox ?

Did you delete the mod and re-download, or did you click update? On console you must delete and re-download or it won't get the new archive, also the new cockpits require level 95 and starship design 4.
Awesome work as always! Just built a Matilija ship on series x. Every time you get up or try to go anywhere . I just keep falling forever. Any idea on what could have done wrong?
Would you know the cause of some of the weapons from your mod to dissappear also the grav drive and the reactor not on my list anymore after i restarted but ive unlocked the ship skills to build
They also have level requirements, if that's not the issue, then it's possible you are exceeding the ship building modules in your mod list causing some modules to disappear, which apparently is a problem for some people using many different ship mods, I can't speak on it as fact because personally I haven't ran into the issue yet, but I have seen it posted on reddit and discord by quite a few people.
@matilija a though that so i uninstalled all and just kept yours and it was the same but new update added grav drive back so at least i can load old save and get off planet i was stuck on lol ive got it at top of mods to load first wonder if thats the problem

WOW, great work, but I think I have missed something, how do you make the ship so big? I keep getting error ship too wide, too tall. or is that a PC thing, I use PC.
You can use console commands to remove the ship size limits, but to be honest even with the default limits you can still make a ship that clips through outposts and collides with stations, so it's not much good for playing the game, only for testing.
@@craigg4925 there are mods available that gives you the ability to make larger and taller ships for xbox and PC along with more ships up-to 150 and larger outpost mods. I love it, it takes a lot of restrictions away. Sure some clipping is bound to happen when landing on a pad in a city. But it doesn't hurt anything. Of course you need to limit yourself at some point to avoid crashing your game and you may have issues landing on a pad if you make it to big. Personally I haven't had that issue yet, but I haven't tested to see how large I can build one. Typically I like building fighter style ships, but have built a few larger and longer ships. Just test certain size builds and figure out what works best for you.
I installed this mod today and the new components are not showing up anywhere. I've closed and reloaded the game several times, gone to every star yard (as well as my own ship builders), and nothing shows up. Is there an unlock requirement? Is there a special location?
No special location, however the Bridge requires level 95 and starship design 4. Is this the first time you installed, or did you update, and are you on console or pc? If you just installed for the first time, your good, if you updated via creations, the update options on creations is broken on console, you need to delete the mod and re-install it for the update to properly take place.
@matilija Thank you for responding personally. I am on PC. I just installed 2 days ago from Steam after a reformat. My character is level 55. I loaded the mod from Nexus via Vortex. All other mods in the load are working normally.
@@AndrewJohnson-oy8oj Two things, first make sure you have a file in your Documents/My Games/Starfield folder labeled StarfieldCustom.ini. Now open that file with a text editor and make sure these lines are in it. [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= Then, launch Vortex and go to the main settings menu and make sure that under deployment method, it is set to Hardlink Deployment. If that's all done, everything should work. If it's still not working, you might want to try changing your load order in vortex and move my mod to the very bottom of the load order to see if that changes things.
Love the mod and super excited for the new bridge! I am currently unable to access the bridge at my outpost. Do I need to be somewhere specific? I already put v3 at the bottom of my load order. I saw somewhere that you needed to be level 95, is that true?
@@TheOutqet Part of the reason I like to level lock equipment, it helps give reason to level up, and it makes it so that you have things to look forward to as you level.
I can, I just don't want to, the cockpit/bridge should be secure, and that's why I have the dual doors to enter, it's an RP reasoning. I figure, while pirates can't board your ship yet, there are some very talented modders working on the game, and it wouldn't surprise me if eventually we have the potential for pirates to dock with and board our ships. And just in case someone makes that mod, or if BGS adds it in a future expansion, I wanted my bridge to be extra secure with that extra door layer of protection for the flight crew. Or at least that is how it plays out in my head, though I did add a single entrance to the bottom of the X3 variant for people who just wanted to hook up an aft facing landing bay directly to the cockpit and then use the top 1x3 section to decorate as living/personal space and then just add engines/reactor/shield to make a very low part ship.

Is this on xbox too? I didn't see that big cockpit, also love the rounded out stuff and different shapes to make ships less blocky. Would love to see longer Habs that ar 2 story with stairs but I'm sure you're already cooking some 🍳

i have idea would you do the aerospace ship bar but so you can have it facing front back left and both sides the ship and i got idea of two bridge idea no clue of the game would let them work idea for the bridge was aerospace triple deck but as a bridge in the middle and another version for a bottom of the ship for like planetary watching from orbit like the uss Zhengzhou from star trek discovery
@@jejejeje4698 I know, but they have about half the target lock time of most of the other cockpits in game, to keep them feeling somewhat balanced, I need to keep their requirements high.
Did you click update, or did you delete the mod and download the new version? The update button on Creations is broken and doesn't actually download the updated archive, the only way to update is to delete the mod and then install the new version unless you are on PC and manually updating through Nexus.
@@matilija deleted and redownloaded, same issue. none of your ship parts show up. not even in shipbuilder. not sure what happened, as everything was working fine a few hours ago.
yeah if it didnt update then just delete and redownload it, it will be the updated version, if you are still missing pieces after that then it is conflicting with other ship mods in your load order
Why upload this too creations if it doesn't work properly on Xbox? TAKE IT OFF THERE BUT KEEP IT ON NEXUS! Save some of us some frustration

It's just a gap filler for under ramps, originally this mod started as a DerreTech expansion mod and it was designed to go under the DerreTech ramps, and in May when the update broke both the original DerreTech and this mod, I decided since I had so much work to do just to get it working again, to change it from an expansion that relied on another mod to a full blown self contained mod and simply didn't remove the ramp supports figuring I would eventually add ramps, and now I am, I may change the model on the ramp supports in the future to better blend with my ramps, but for now I'm not worried about it.

Cockpits are level 95 starship design 4, sorry, I mean class C engine only requires starship design 4, no level requirement.

Ho I seen a build on another video showing this huge massive cockpit that is apparently in v3 but I cant find it I'm on xbox and was looking from my darkstar landing pad ship builder. Are they on xbox ?
It requires level 95 and starship design 4. When I next update, the requirements are going to be lowered to level 50.

Jusr ran into and started using this mod on xbox and wanted to know, where or how do you attatch the weapon platforms to your ships. do you need to use the habs or am i missing something simple
They connect to either the MA battle station habs, or the weapon platform structural pieces, I have a video here showing how to connect them.

Probably more likely that you just haven't reached the level requirement yet, it requires level 95 and starship design level 4.

Did you delete the mod and re-download, or did you click update? On console you must delete and re-download or it won't get the new archive, also the new cockpits require level 95 and starship design 4.

Would you know the cause of some of the weapons from your mod to dissappear also the grav drive and the reactor not on my list anymore after i restarted but ive unlocked the ship skills to build
They also have level requirements, if that's not the issue, then it's possible you are exceeding the ship building modules in your mod list causing some modules to disappear, which apparently is a problem for some people using many different ship mods, I can't speak on it as fact because personally I haven't ran into the issue yet, but I have seen it posted on reddit and discord by quite a few people.
@matilija a though that so i uninstalled all and just kept yours and it was the same but new update added grav drive back so at least i can load old save and get off planet i was stuck on lol ive got it at top of mods to load first wonder if thats the problem

WOW, great work, but I think I have missed something, how do you make the ship so big? I keep getting error ship too wide, too tall. or is that a PC thing, I use PC.
You can use console commands to remove the ship size limits, but to be honest even with the default limits you can still make a ship that clips through outposts and collides with stations, so it's not much good for playing the game, only for testing.

@@craigg4925 there are mods available that gives you the ability to make larger and taller ships for xbox and PC along with more ships up-to 150 and larger outpost mods.
I love it, it takes a lot of restrictions away. Sure some clipping is bound to happen when landing on a pad in a city. But it doesn't hurt anything.
Of course you need to limit yourself at some point to avoid crashing your game and you may have issues landing on a pad if you make it to big.
Personally I haven't had that issue yet, but I haven't tested to see how large I can build one. Typically I like building fighter style ships, but have built a few larger and longer ships.
Just test certain size builds and figure out what works best for you.
I installed this mod today and the new components are not showing up anywhere. I've closed and reloaded the game several times, gone to every star yard (as well as my own ship builders), and nothing shows up. Is there an unlock requirement? Is there a special location?
No special location, however the Bridge requires level 95 and starship design 4. Is this the first time you installed, or did you update, and are you on console or pc? If you just installed for the first time, your good, if you updated via creations, the update options on creations is broken on console, you need to delete the mod and re-install it for the update to properly take place.
@matilija Thank you for responding personally. I am on PC. I just installed 2 days ago from Steam after a reformat. My character is level 55. I loaded the mod from Nexus via Vortex. All other mods in the load are working normally.
@@AndrewJohnson-oy8oj Two things, first make sure you have a file in your Documents/My Games/Starfield folder labeled StarfieldCustom.ini. Now open that file with a text editor and make sure these lines are in it.

Then, launch Vortex and go to the main settings menu and make sure that under deployment method, it is set to Hardlink Deployment.
If that's all done, everything should work.
If it's still not working, you might want to try changing your load order in vortex and move my mod to the very bottom of the load order to see if that changes things.

I am currently unable to access the bridge at my outpost. Do I need to be somewhere specific? I already put v3 at the bottom of my load order. I saw somewhere that you needed to be level 95, is that true?

@@TheOutqet Part of the reason I like to level lock equipment, it helps give reason to level up, and it makes it so that you have things to look forward to as you level.

I can, I just don't want to, the cockpit/bridge should be secure, and that's why I have the dual doors to enter, it's an RP reasoning.
I figure, while pirates can't board your ship yet, there are some very talented modders working on the game, and it wouldn't surprise me if eventually we have the potential for pirates to dock with and board our ships.
And just in case someone makes that mod, or if BGS adds it in a future expansion, I wanted my bridge to be extra secure with that extra door layer of protection for the flight crew.
Or at least that is how it plays out in my head, though I did add a single entrance to the bottom of the X3 variant for people who just wanted to hook up an aft facing landing bay directly to the cockpit and then use the top 1x3 section to decorate as living/personal space and then just add engines/reactor/shield to make a very low part ship.

Is this on xbox too? I didn't see that big cockpit, also love the rounded out stuff and different shapes to make ships less blocky. Would love to see longer Habs that ar 2 story with stairs but I'm sure you're already cooking some 🍳
Technically already exist with the A-Habs and M-habs both 2 stories tall. As for the Bridge cockpit, it requires level 95 and Starship Design level 4.

Why level lock the cockpit?
Because target lock time is determined by your cockpit, and these bridges have the fastest target lock time.

i have idea would you do the aerospace ship bar but so you can have it facing front back left and both sides the ship and i got idea of two bridge idea no clue of the game would let them work
idea for the bridge was aerospace triple deck but as a bridge in the middle and another version for a bottom of the ship for like planetary watching from orbit like the uss Zhengzhou from star trek discovery

updated to V3 today and all of the ship parts ive used from your previous versions all disappeared
Did you click update, or did you delete the mod and download the new version? The update button on Creations is broken and doesn't actually download the updated archive, the only way to update is to delete the mod and then install the new version unless you are on PC and manually updating through Nexus.

yeah if it didnt update then just delete and redownload it, it will be the updated version, if you are still missing pieces after that then it is conflicting with other ship mods in your load order
