  • After 5-7 years of fine tuning & perfecting my carry system, this is the most comfortable way I've found to carry my Glock 19.

    I’m old and retired so I wear my shirt untucked but this looks like a comfortable way to carry even now. I think those suspenders are the trick. Thanks for the tip.

    THANK YOU Tony! I'm very similar build as you and have been struggling with the same issues. I really like what you've put together. I'm going to give it a try.

    This is AWESOME Tony! Thank you! Thank you! I've been messing w/ my G19 for about a year; bought some "combat suspenders" that are similar but those small clip supports look great. Ordering one today.

    Very good video. I really like the way that the weight load is transferred up to the shoulders and the belts job is now more to keep the rig stabilized.
    I also l like how you shaped the Kydex shell. I'm going to be taking a hard look at doing something similar to my cloak tuck also

    Try ditching the suspenders for one week, wearing this alone.
    The Vedder Holster "Light Tuck"- made for the Glock 19. about $60.
    You'll think you went to heaven. Just need your belt.

    Thank you for your time and effort. In fairness, your title indicates that the vid is about COMFORT - and you are spot on. However, I value reasonably quick presentation over comfort - and you didn't demonstrate how you would get quick access to your weapon during a high stress situation. Looking at how your shirt is tucked, etc. I'd have to bet that your system would make it difficult to draw and put shots on target quickly. Did you ever make a vid showing how you access your weapon? Thanks for your time. I adhere to the rule that "if it works for you, do it", so thanks again!

      @ynotjf  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Veprjack Veprjack - It’s a trade off! I’m forced to wear tuck-in dress shirts at work but at least the gun is with me. I use this same setup for IDPA competition and can get a shot on target in about 1.5 seconds from under a concealment vest but it takes about 3 seconds from under a tucked shirt.

    Hi Tony, could please make an CCW double duty comfort sling video for Law Enforcement Duty Belt.
    Instead of J-hooks could keepers be used?

    • @ynotjf
      @ynotjf  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andre Havard - for duty belt use, the j-hooks support your inner belt and you attach your outer belt normally (with keepers or Velcro). Easy and no shirt or belt modifications needed. Call us or order online and we’ll make sure you’re happy.

    How do you draw your weapon with your shirt tucked over the holster?

    • @ynotjf
      @ynotjf  7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Marlo Stanfield - you practice pulling the shirt to clear the pistol grip but it takes extra time. Then your shirt is in the way for the re holster. It's more cumbersome but if you need to wear a tucked shirt it's what you have to do..

    Tony:
    I'm not trying to be a Smart Alec but how difficult is it to break down your system if you have to have to relieve yourself in a public restroom?

    • @ynotjf
      @ynotjf  7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      18661873 - that's actually an important question! It's really fast & simple; each j-hook has a buckle just above waistline, just unclip and drop.. if your in a hurry you can unclip (through your shirt) before you get there.

  • @stevendotson9819
    @stevendotson9819 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Where does the extra J-Hooks come from? The ones that snap on to the holster?

    • @ynotjf
      @ynotjf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would be replacing one from the sling so simply take it off the sling and attach to your holster.

  • @grady7443

    I'm glad to see that you have a carry method that works for you. However, I'm not going to go through all of that to carry my g32. I have a Aiegis trigger guard & one other kind & I mexican carry it that way. Pull the shirt out just enough to cover it or wear a shirt or jacket out-side to cover it. It lets me get to it fast. Getting a g33 soon that will be even easier to carry with the same trigger guards (holsters) because both guns use the same trigger guards. Good video, well demonstrated.

    Suspenders are about the only way I can comfortably carry a decent sized handgun. Im shaped like a wedge- broad chest, no ass. My pants hardly stay up BEFORE I strap several pounds to my belt on the back. I wear some nice, wide suspenders made by Dickies. It's either that, or I have to tighten my belt to the point that I get stomach cramps when I sit down.

    My next biggest challenge is the holster. I have a light kit on my trigger rail and alien says they don't do anything other than stock.

    • @ynotjf
      @ynotjf  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Shurtleff - I carry an EagTac D25LC2 in my left front pocket. I like the ability to blind an attacker before deploying the handgun. But Olight is having a 3 day sale and I just ordered their PL-2 weapon light for home defense. Good luck finding a holster.

      I've got a stream light TLR-6 on my g43, they've got a shell that's formed with that accessory in place. Might just be they don't have one molded for your pistol and light combo.

    I like this much better than the back defense system. Wayyy too many belt clips and things dangling. Especially with being a woman, it was extremely annoying every time I went to the bathroom. Returned immediately. My duty gear is already enough stuff to remove. I will be purchasing this system.
