I have a simple and direct way to write the equation of line which is perpendicular to given line... Eg. 3x + 2y +7 = 0 We interchange the coffeicent of x and y and change the sign of once and add the constant so the eq. is 2x - 3y + constant= 0

we had one equation y=2/3x-4 and we used the slope of it '2/3' to find the equation of the line perpendicular to it, whose slope is -3/2.
the -4 disappears because we're finding a new equation for a different line, meaning we don't know where the y intercept will be on the new line

Im somewhat confused with this because aren't you supposed to cross multiply with fractions???
Only if you have an equal sign between the two fractions as in a proportion. You may also be thinking of cross reducing…
