Luke, it's because you're a top bloke, you're trustworthy, honest, helpful guy, just simply cool ,the kind of people you want to know and associate with 👍👍👍keep it going ❤🙂
You give me hope for your generation…thank God there’s young men like you doing it the right way…I’m from Baltimore, Highland Town, been here 40 yrs…O’s kicking ass! God bless you dude….I fish in the Susquehanna weekly….Rock Run Rd…where Deer Creek opens up into the River
Darn! I would have jumped on and been your deckhand just for that adventure. It brought a year to my eye having struggled with all those small boat handling challenges in the Navy. You have great skills.
Love how you approach everything Luke, the whole take it as it comes attitude and the way you just get er done is a bygone attitude. I'd totally jump on any boat with ya. And if you ever wanna transport your boat overland instead of over water, lemme know! I haul for Triton Yachts outta Oriental NC
My single screw aluminum cabin cruiser doesn't steer in reverse either and she's a light boat. But I have masterd the art of using the prop walk. It makes sense when you think about what the prop is doing underneath the hull. It is creating a slope the stern can slide down in one direction. Prop pulls water down on one side while simultaneously pushing up on the opposite side creating the ".slope". Great videos !
Luke, if you weren’t such a nice and obviously hard-working and personable young man people wouldn’t go out of their way to see you. I would love to meet you but I live within Tucson AZ, a 4 hour drive from the sea ( Punto Pensasco, Mexico on the S a of Cortez ( Gulf of California). Mexico is only 72 miles from our house, at least that is what my father-in-law told me.
Just started watching your vids very entertaining love to see the young generation really working hard for a living anmaking a good life for yourself an family .Keep it up an I'll keep watching ,rock on brother
You are a very likeable young man ,you are good at what you do ,you minimize your limitations and maximize your strengths. You have a tendency to down play capabilities but you tackle problems with confidence, you accomplish a lot despite limited resources. Your wife can be a big asset you should use her in your videos as much as possible. I,m not a psychiatrist, just an old 92 yo man who can read people like a book. You have a great future and will be successful.
GREAT JOB, GREAT VIDEOS...... KEEP UP THE HARD WORK, STAY POSITIVE...... I WOULD LIKE TO SAY TO THE HATERS, NEGATIVE NANCYS.... IF YOU SPENT A QUARTER OF YOUR TIME WORKING TO BETTER YOURSELVES AND NOT TRYING TO BRING DOWN SOMEONE WHO IS WINNING AT LIFE. YOU COULD BE A WINNER ALSO.... LET'S ALL TRY TO STAY POSITIVE AND BUILD EACH OTHER UP. THAT WAY WE ALL WIN!!!
You will absolutely make something of yourself and a very respected person of your generation there isn't very many at that age willing to work God speed much respect
New devices are always funky. Nothing like hard learning. I was calling 50 to 60 gallons, twice the size of my pontoon. 33gal....and we know who you are...
Good watching you, I too have experienced people on the water. Rivers, Bays, the gulf everyone of the people I met ( especially the locals wherever that may be) they are great people, super nice, super helpful and just plain great people.
It's funny I just started watching your channel and subscribed! It cracks me up how uptight you get about doing things you know you can do without any problems like move the boat to a new slip...it makes me laugh Only because I'm The Same Exact Way !! Too funny Capt ! Keep up the great work...Love the channel!!
You’re fuels still cheaper than in australia, we go upto $2.50/lt apr 2022 it’s come back down to $1.85/lt now, so $2.50/lt would be about $9.62/gal and $1.85/lt would be about $7.12/gal, it’s great you’re still finding good people, gives you a good buzz feel when you do
On not asking for help.....it's good and bad. Doing it yourself - you might learn the hard way but you'll learn it for real because you did it yourself. Asking for help - you might learn a new trick and meet new and interesting folks. Life's adventures can be a little more rewarding sometimes when they are shared - even with a stranger! And good people like to help other good people. Best to you!
I wouldn't call you dumb at all. Don't get me wrong, I've watched some of your videos and you have some adventures, but you have a good time doing them. You, young man, are determined and that is not something seen very much any more. Good luck in what you do and God Bless. I'll keep watching and rooting you on!
Cape May is one of the best places for boating. So many helpful people around always willing to lend you a hand (or dock in your case. Hey maybe send the guys who helped you a shipment of jimmies next summer….they would love that. Crabbing down there has been off last several year for some reason. The Lobster Claw is pretty much the anchor restaurant for Cape May. Most visitors have stopped and eaten there if they have visited Cape May NJ. There are a ton of other good food places but just about all mariners, boaters, fisherman have eaten there. Sea Gear is a great place to get anything you might need from commercial gear, sailing or transient boating. They have pretty good online store also with tons of boating-fishing-clothing- boots and other equipment available to order. You can pretty much walk to everything in that marina area which makes it nice for transient boaters or day visitors. Your videos are really kind of addictive, you should capture plenty of followers while there in Cape May and as you make your way back to the Chesapeake.
love it. i’ve always enjoyed listening to you. remember that one metro job in dc? the high rise? you started welding? you are such a special person and i hope the best for you.
Yo long time watcher front the west coast I’m a Southern California rock crabber and awesome to see the progress, can’t wait to get to my next step of getting my second boat such as yourself
Don’t forget to include the “Oh shit” factor into your well thought out plans. Good job parking that sucker, it was always a challenge for me. After 50+ years of driving, I can’t parallel park a car either. 👍👍
if it makes you feel better that fuel bill would've been around $570 for me here in Canada and that's "on land" fuel price! I pay $11.37 a gallon so you guys down in the US actually have it pretty good for fuel price's. loving the boat video's keep em coming!
Came across your channel by accident yesterday and started watching. Love your attitude and your outlook on things. Best of luck with the new boat. If you're ever coming up the Long Island Sound let us know.🛥️
6:10 you’re correct to carry more fuel in the tank than is required. You don’t need to be pumping up all the gunk on the bottom of the tank and it’ll clog filters fast in choppy conditions it’ll be better to have a surplus in fuel. You’re handling the boat well. You won’t even think about it after a few more moorings. You are very intelligent. Don’t sell yourself short Little Brother 9:43 you make tragedies into Blessings every day. That’s not something you learn to do you just have it. You can do everything you need to be successful. Sure there’s challenges and you have a wrap on your wheel more than anyone 🥲 I know. God Bless you Brother keep your head and hope high you will succeed because you are right now ❤️😏🖖🏼🇺🇸
Ha that’s crazy I’ve worked on big boats the last 7 years , We’ve have docked at the lobster house a million times packed a lot of flounder there , and have bought more gear at sea gear than I’d like to admit lol , love the videos man keep em up, my boat was liable to been at the end of the dock during this video
Hi my name is Kenny and and don't know anything about boats but somehow I like watching your videos I find that boat fascinating because of the controls on the back and that is a diesel keep up the good videos
I think that boats bad ass bro!!! Some of the best boats in the world are built in NJ, especially those 1 off customs built by some dude that put his heart, soul, and passion like we have into it!!! Its the stuff that "legacy" and "forever" are built on!! We'r alot alike Luke, and as much as I love fishing, crabbing and competing on the mighty chesapeake, iv got an absolute love and passion for working on this old crap!!! Hope we can compare notes soon my brother in arms!!! Lol
One you need to let the wheel slow down some before slam the gears, you'll be rebuilding the transmission before you get home. I learned long ago that you have too see which way she's going to swing on a single screw so you can work with the swing when docking. I could turn my tug in her length + 10 ft. for safety sake. The tug was diesel / electric and if you started slamming it from forward to back it might very well trip offline, then you had to go and reset the switchboards.
Several years ago I bought an offshore fishing boat on eBay, (another story in itself.) Left Tennessee drive 700+ miles to south Florida. Then drive with the boat and trailer in tow 500+ to Orange Beach Alabama. Park the boat in a Storage lot. Then drive back to Tennessee all in two days. So I know how you feel. Enjoy the journey!
Just subscribed, ive been a longliner my whole life im pretty much im 36 years old and its nice to see other people relatively close to my age in this industry that arnt a junkie, and if you know, uou know they are far and few between, lots of great guys, but lots ofdrug problems as well
The Marina John let you use used to be owned by the late Joeseph McCollum…he would of loved everything you’re doing to promote watermen if still around these days. As a kid, I used to swim in Joe’s pool that was right next to those slips…now long gone & buried over. I then grew up & kept my boat there many times as well. A lot of great CM history right in that back channel.
Certainly plan on replacing the clutch [gear] in your boat on a regular basis if you keep snatching that thing from forwards to reverse 7000 times like that if thats how its gonna be eva time you tryn dock her!!! lol. Nice lil boat you gotta learn to treat her as an old girl like she is, Aint built to be snatched around an horsing the throttle before she is even fully egaged into gear!! Best of luck, She,s a fine ole boat, I hope you pulled her outta the water before you bought her, Number one rule in boat purchasing!!!
Nice boat , but I think you may want to skip the Lobster House and get used to packing ham sandwich lunches if you want to keep fuel in her tank, ha ha. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
It's $1.98 per litre, so times that by 3.78 and you'll see what I pay for diesel. We're getting ripped off by tax.... Glad to see the maiden voyage of yours, on this vessel, because that's about when I started following you...still have yet to eat a small blue crab...I'm used to king/dungenous/red...big creatures
That's awesome that you were able to lower the cost to your adventure! What kind of boat starts up on the first try? You didn't even have to use a 🔧🪛 hammer to get it started. 🍍😎🤙🌴🥥🌺🌈
Here on the lower slower, we had a used car salesman Named Gary Pusey His famous motto was YOU GOT TO LIKE IT MORE THAN YOUR MONEY! I find that saying can be used in most of lifes decisions.
I just bet that in 20 years or so, this young man will be able to do what ever, when ever, where ever he wants to!
It appears he already is , He is Literally the Captain of his own ship 😂 pun intended!
He’s a hustler for sure, I mean that in a good way. Good head on his shoulders and a good work ethic
Agreed
He gets paid well. And he's got over a million followers. I'm sure he's getting something. He gets married in September
@@yakityakteriw6774 I think he’s under 200,000 BUT soon will be well over a million!
Dude , I fished commercially for 22 yrs, the last 7 in Alaska and I can tell you got what it takes!! Fish hard! And be safe

Your ambitions and push, I really hope you make it big man. Seem like a great guy and this is the person everyone hopes makes it big
Maneuvering in close quarters is always the hardest especially with a boat new to you. Excellent job.
Luke, your awesome young man. I wish you the best. Safe trip and God bless.
Luke you are a legend, the type people write books about. You are really brave to ride that big boat on all that big water.
Darn! I would have jumped on and been your deckhand just for that adventure. It brought a year to my eye having struggled with all those small boat handling challenges in the Navy. You have great skills.
I enjoyed this type of video...something out of the norm. Consider more content like this. Good job.

It was awesome meeting you that day. My wife and I couldn’t wait to tell our kids that we found you lol. Glad you enjoyed the Lobster House

There are some great folks left in NJ. Glad you got to meet some of them.

We don't have it better, we are all being screwed by evil power hungry people called government. All are being fucked by the evil.
Damn that's just crazy 11+$ a gallon
3.10 a gallon at my wharf in Maine currently
Cool vessel! I got sea sick in one of those in Mexico. Great buy ! We went past the Breakwater. fishing was great. I was barfing overboard lol.

Blessings always from California, not zombies. Sorry, my phone does not work.
You’re pretty dope dude. Nice to see others actually want to work.
Like captain Ron said. If anything bad is going to happen it will happen out there. That is so true but you have got to get out there.
You are blessed brother

Hahaha! So I'm guessing the new rig may not be a candidate for The Chesapeake Cowboys. Still can't get used to portside controls. Fine job!
I've been seeing your boat! Awesome content, lobster house is good stuff, can't wait to see your future content
The best made men jump right in, you'll do fine, keep your motivation high you will succeed. 👍🇺🇲
I don’t know why I enjoy these videos. Everytime I go out on the bay on a boat that size I end up throwing up.
Good video man. I like your hoodie, idk if that’s your company hoodie or what, but I’d cop merch if you come out with a fishing related hoodie
Lobster house is my favorite spot in cape may
I feel your pain. I had a single screw 30 ft tollycraft. You had to use reverse to point the bow and hopefully there was no wind.
Stern house is great love going there and sitting on the deck and eating love that area would love to live somewhere along the ocean
Over here in Spokane, WA.. diesel goes for $5 for regular. Offroad is much cheaper.
Drinking sweet tea, too!! Nice!
I love that old boat!!!!
I know very little of boats. What’s the advantage of steering with the controls in stern over steering from the pilot house.
Webo was built on thee Eastern Shore DEL-MAR-VA Peninsula. You know it's built like a battle wagon 😊
That's awesome that you were able to lower the cost to your adventure! What kind of boat starts up on the first try? You didn't even have to use a 🔧🪛 hammer to get it started.

Do you ever shut the raw water valve (engine cooling)? Always do this. If a hose breaks or a seal gives out……sunk boat!
Luke is the GOAT!!! ❤❤❤❤
New to your channel buy luck I guess.
I dig your outlook, I would love to get on your boat
Nice boat name! Webo!
You’re a good man!
That's a 30k plus hour engine with routine maintenance. Not over maintain just normal TLC.
A tight slip and current will humble any captain!
B.O.A.T. Bust Out Another Thousand... :-) Great vids man!!!
man that is an awesome boat!!!
We used to order our pick up sticks for picking up pots and decoys from that place, they would ship them to VA. Can’t get them anymore
love the boat
A 50 gallon tank in the Netherlands will go for 410 usd.
Loving this old girl 😊
If you ever come up again from the 4th of July till like Sept grab yourself some jersey corn and tomatoes !
That boat is going to be your money maker
