      My metric scope is 10mm or 3/8 per click so 10 clicks for the 4"

    All true and logical. I’ve pulled out a lot of hair trying to explain this to those who will not carefully shoot a three shot group and then adjust accordingly. I’ve seen many boxes of ammo burned up by people trying to chase a zero with Kentucky windage a shot at a time and then trying to adjust “backwards”. Why this is even a thing, I don’t know.

    Good video,simple & to the point. While only using it to make a point,the marksmanship callout was perfect as I've heard many people over the years say their scope or gun is broke,when their mechanics,or breathing,jerking the trigger,flinching,etc. is usually the real cause of shitty grouping

    100% correct about the first group. Marksmanship issues. I have roughly a 1/4 moa but for some reason no matter the adjustments it will hit either side of the red and never center hole lol maybe should zero it at 100 and try

      Acronym MOA is Minute of Angle, just a fancy way to count clicks, LOL. 1/60th of a degree, specific distance adjustments for projectile impacts; I will try to cover the more technical things associated with marksmanship in future videos.

  • @user-io2ym6gm8z

    Honestly, I find the whole concept of elevation adjustment on top and windage adjustment on the side seriously flawed. It's counter-intuitive. That's why there are so many people out there asking questions like "which way do I turn this to adjust", that's also why many scopes have the windage turret marked 1L, 2L, 1R, 2R and so on, to make it clear which way is left or right. If you think about it, the direction of the rotation of the side turret is UP or DOWN, these directions should reflect ELEVATION adjustment. But all the scopes out there make the side turret for windage, which is adjustment left or right... Similarly, the top turret rotation is LEFT or RIGHT, and it should be used for left or right adjustment (windage). But someone had a bright idea to make it the elevation turret, and now everyone is guessing if they are going up or down. This is ridiculous.
    Yeah, you get used to it with time, but I always found this utterly stupid. Elevation and windage turrets should switch places.

    If 4 clicks to move 1 inch at 100 yards 2 clicks to move 1 inch at 50 yards?

    • @mikecollins8241
      @mikecollins8241 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      No, 8 clicks.. half the distance, twice the clicks.. at 200 yards 2 clicks=1".. at 400 yards each click =1 inch... best to start close (25 yards) and get centered, using big changes ( quarter to half turn, for example) then when you are hitting close to center move out to 100 yards and you should be close and can fine tune as shown..
