Hi Gemma, nice little haul. I've tried many pencils. I think my favourite is Caran D'ache Luminance, but you need to shop around for the best open stock price. I also like the colour range of the Derwent Drawing, and I've happily used Faber Castell Polychromos too. Enjoy your supplies. Looking forward to seeing your series idea! x Nell.
I was thinking about buying some open stock colour pencils but can you tell me if the barcode label they've put around them can be removed easily without leaving sticky marks. Looking forward to your thoughts on the pencils.
I've been watching some of your colored pencil video and I have to say they are so great. ☺️ I hope to learn how to used them for mixed media, along with watercolor and gouache. So far my experience has been using cheap pencils for coloring books. I'm looking forward to when I can get some open stock pencils from Derwent, Caran D'Ache, and Faber Castell. 😊
That's so kind of you, thank you so much!! Buying open stock is such a great way to slowly build up your colouring pencil collection and have more control over the colours you're buying ☺️
I like your haul. I love the Ravens brushes and the quill brushes. I have 24 of the Derwent chromaflow pencils and like the colours. My only complaint with the Chromaflow pencils is you have to be very careful when sharpening them. They break very easily so it’s best to not sharpen to a sharp point because they’ll break before the sharpener gets them to that point. I am interested to see how you like the Derwent coloursoft pencils. Enjoy using your new materials.
Gemma, You are going to love the Derwent Colorsoft pencils..I have a 24 set they are super smooth! FYI: I recently bought some Faber Castell Black pencil set which apparently have been out for over year now targeting the South American Market. I got my 36 set for $13ish dollars through Amazon US. I am very happy with my purchase and I am also on a color pencil buy this end of the year it seems. I want to add the Stabilo woodies and a small amount of Prismacolor through some Ebay buyers in the US. I will use your link for Jackson's I purchase things from them frequently. Great buy/items! Maria
I'm really looking forward to trying them, I've heard lots of great things about them. I haven't tried the Faber Castell Black pencils, how are they? There are just some many great looking pencils to try!
FB Black Pencils are excellent..they are made for kids in South America but are so very nice. I like the triangular shape. Similar to the Farby pencil from Lyra. They are also budget friendly! I know so many good pencils.@@GemmaMorganArt
You have been really tempting me to try their brushes and I will go pick a few after I finish watching this video 😂 I can't wait to see the colored pencils review 🥰
Try Derwent Drawing, but get the 24 set. You will kick yourself if you do 12.
Another vote for derwent drawing.
Thanks for the recommendation!! I'll add them to my list 😊

Thank you 😊 I really like Caran D'ache Luminance colouring pencils, they're very nice to use!
what a great little haul! lovely to have you back ❤
🥰 thank you so much!!
Coloursoft and Chromaflow both use blue wool, so lightfastness is variable.
That's so useful to know, thanks for sharing!
colorsofts are nice pencils, really like using them on sanded paper, blend perfectly for me 🙂
I've just been testing them out, they're very nice to use!

I will try peeling them off and I'll let you know!
@gailhewitt1467 I've tried peeling off a few of the labels. They feel more like an easy peel sticker and I wasn't left with any sticky marks
@@GemmaMorganArt Thank you, that's brilliant.

They're really good paint brushes 🤣 I'll be testing out the pencils soon!
I have the Coloursoft skin tone set, they work great! Definitely recommend
That's really good to hear! I'm looking forward to testing my set out 😊
Their prices are crazy and shipping fees are nuts. Lovely products, but can always find it better at other places.
