What happened to people keeping a bit of old carpet in the boot to throw under the wheels, coke ashes from the fire too back in the day. Snow in the 70's 80' would often be 3 - 4 feet deep in places.
In the back of my car, I have a big bag of horse bedding pellets. They are pellets designed to absorb water and expand. I bought them just in case my chicken run gets muddy. I thought I might leave it in the car just in case. Ohio. We get a lot of snow.
Yer 3-4feet deep dig the car out off to work I'd go didn't seem to bother us back then now inch or two of snow and the bloody country comes to a standstill .
I carry large sheets of sand paper in my car in the winter. They are really handy if I get stuck.
Just a little tip buy heating oil (it’s only about 60p a ltr 👍)for your heater and add a bit of two stroke oil just so the pump has some lubricant going through it
The views are beautiful I love the winter and the snow ❄️ 🎉 loved your journey 😊
Superheros dont drink😋😎..Great happy chappie..wondered what was stuck on the van at the end..haha it was one of the new gadgets he got a clip on tripod
Should have stayed with us at castlerigg, not much more fell from when you left and was gone when we left this morning, great footage of the northern lights gutted we arrived just after and missed them, love the drone footage of the snow…
Keep safe & Safe travels ☯️
Best video I've watched today. Im about to do a half lap of Australia and our first stop will be 40 degrees. Wish me luck.😅
That was a wicked adventure, Rich. Loved the castlerigg footage. Ive been looking at the Akasa brave range myself as I cant afford the dji stuff . Looks like I'd be fine with the Brave 8 to be honest. Good on you for helping other motorists. Hopefully will bring a bit of good karma to the camper scene instead of negativity. you are a good man , Rich. 🙏 Brilliant vlog!! much respect- Kenny
Fun vlog, love the haircut, Cheers from North Carolina, US !
Let us watch you do Europe and specially Switzerland, go on that will be an adventure, keep up with all this 🔝🔝🔝
Well done you being the good Samaritan. A cracking vlog - snow certainly adds beauty and drama to landscapes and you captured it brilliantly.
Amazing view right timming
Beautiful scenery. Glad you are safe.
looked like your twin showed up.......................................wow that snow was crazy . glad you stayed safe . subbed for more content
Thanks for inviting me along buddy I was gutted when I couldn't get away to see them the lights that is. Also bit jealous about all that snow . Dan Bo n Idris Elddis [man dog van] like minded fan,s from Skeg Vegas 👌
I went up to Kendal to do a job today and drove up to Bowness . Couldn't believe the amount of vehicles on the sides of the roads. Be safe 🙏
Absolutely love watching your videos and congrats on passing the hgv studies 👏
It’s a miracle how the Americans/Russians ,Eskimos and Europeans manage every year and have done since before man learnt how to harness fire!
You'd love winter here. Lol
Castlerigg stone circle, 10 minutes up the road, from my workplace at Threlkeld👍 . The snow, i was stuck in it on the M6, Tebay to Shap, while i was working.
Great video footage and editing, always enjoy your channel!
Ohhh SNAP! 😮
The way your content has grown is incredible man! Some really great shots and content there. Loving it 😊
19:34 nice bit of yellow snow I see there 😂
What an absolute champ you are helping out.
Ps well done on passing the case studies 👏👏
Next level content mate. Your videos are getting better and better, crammed with really entertaining content. Keep it up big man, I think you’re well on your way to becoming a full time TH-camr 👍
Hey Richard, hope Danielle got home safe and sound. That snow looks crazy haha 6 man inches 😂😂, cracked me up. Congratulations on passing your cpc, not long now. Stay safe ✌️

really good video you done well done keep them coming cheers stay safe
Your famous on Facebook pal 👍
Cracking episode 👍🏻 M6 up to Windermere was gridlocked so that cut out journey short!
I got trapped in my car trying to get to Broughton Moor forest for the Grizedale stages. I had to be rescued by Coniston mountain rescue and taken to Coniston rally control. I spent the night in the sports hall and social club and had to get a lift to chester on the Sunday morning with another rally marshal. I had to abandon my car for 5 days where I left it. That was the scariest weekend I’ve ever had.
Saw the Northern Lights a couple of weeks ago from the North Kent coast, could hardly believe it !
Wow....Great vid bro 😮👍✌️
UK is a bit useless in the snow, Scandinavians, Canadians, and Alpine dwellers would think this is a fuss about nothing. If people fit all weather tyres they won’t look back (they’re not full snow tyres, just all season). Full snow tyres are noisy, not really necessary, but all season will cope with that amount of snow, if in doubt you can also carry chains or Autosocks, but they only need to be added in packed snow, as they mess up if you can see tarmac.
Yep! I'm sold. I'll buy the accessories pack.
Grain on camera ? Ehh na!
Enjoyed that one!!
Mountains ❤
proper adventure that bud, that's why my car is always stocked. just can't help thinking why there was a land rover parked behind you, surly that wasn't stuck 👍
Amazing videos.
i think that mercedes van might be going the same way as you. 12:36, 13:15 at top of the hill before you were snowed in, then again at 26:36
I got stuck up there as well on my way to Broughton moor rally stage. Stuck in the car for 8 hours waiting for mountain rescue to come find me. Had to leave my car near Jackson Ground until yesterday, Wednesday. I stayed the night at Coniston Sport and social club sleeping on a duvet cover. Then got a lift back to chester with a fellow rally marshal. That’s been a surreal few days. There are still a lot of cars locked in Grizedale forest until Friday.
Directly north from Castlerigg isn’t unobstructed? Skiddaw is literally in the way. North west is unobstructed
Hi mate need follower here I just want to say wow mate you captured them hills absolutely megga proper medieval vibe and also I think your doin just fine.and I hope you get to where you want to be cuz I'll be there watching and supporting you bud. I to will be doin van life I hope soon lol and to meet up with ya one day
16”? More like 6” for the most part and will drivers quit driving in winter conditions on summer tyres. Plus use snow-chains or snow-socks where needed.
Some great views of Windermere at Bowmess.
Another amazing video :)
Happy for you
My dream is to have camper one day :)
Keep
Doing great videos :)
When you next In Norfolk ?
Wow not been to the Lake District in over 48 years when i climb scafell pike
It happened to me and our car was going everywhere
It was beautiful
Mate you make me laugh. Top vlogs 😂👍
Great scenery. What’s the warning light on your dash mean?
Bet you were glad of the night heater last night buddy
I bet most have summer tires on.
epic mate, what drone do you have? ive seen the DJI Mini 2 SE at pocket money and really tempted for my first drone.
Bit of exaggeration in the title . Lucky if there was 5 inches. Still fun to watch,. We get the same in the Highlands and life goes on as normal.
It's the drivers that get stuck they slow down mid hill on purpose for some reason so their using grip after that rather than momentum. Most can't even drive in summer 😂
Lol don't eat the yellow snow
Was it16 inches metric ?😃
Hi Indi... Nice imagery with the AKASO BRAVE 8 ... what's it like on wide angles, say for property tours?
Remember to Thumbs Up 👆
👍.
16 inches bro - come on
Lol, not a pissing match, just fell for the thumbnail@@CharliePen - is the 16 inches more of a horitzontal thing?
lol, just saw the shitty spellcheck
👍
Nobody uses chains anymore?
No deep enough for chains
Why are you so surprised at the snow etc, you're up north, high elevation and its winter...LOL
16 inches. Laughing
I hate snow
quality matey mint
Is my man maths better than yours (I just don't cut it). Or am I know a woman because of the long hair?😂
Who's with you ? You keep saying we did this and we did that but you don't show who it is ??
videos are getting better but you're audio needs sorting. It keeps dropping off, you need to buy a clip on mic like all serious youtubers. Frustrating to watch sometimes.
Women maths buy some clippers and do it yourself
