Thank you for confirming the sub is glued in on the base system. Been searching high and low for that information. :) thank you so much.
Glad it was a helpful video!
Thanks for the how to man! You did an awesome job explaining everything!🔥 gonna be getting this set up for my 11” 335i
Glad I could help! I appreciate the comment! Best of luck on your install!
I plan getting it for my 11 335 as well is it worth it ?
Bavsound just arrived, gonna be installing once the hifi ones come in from ebay now lol
Nice! You'll like it a lot!
Got a 15 inch sub with 2000w amp for 700
If you use a pry tool all around the base model enclosure you can pop it out
Easier said than done. Tried using a pry tool and flat head and tan the risk of cracking the plastic.
how
@@DanielScariti, first of all, don't be scared.
long flat screwdriver (insert in thin/narrow area an force it out) then use trimming tools to pop out the rest.
@accelerated_motion yeah but you bought a totally new enclosure anyways so it didn't even matter if you broke it
After install did the door speakers still work? I went through the same install and door speakers stop working because they are wired into the sub woofers. The woofer you took out was a 4 wire the one you put in is a 2 wire. 2 of the wires not used are for the door speakers
Yes, everything worked as it should. No issues.
Hi I really need your help where did you get the harman kardon sub tray from i need one too
Sub enclosures were purchased on ebay
You can remove the glued unit I’ve done one takes quite a bit of manhandling but it is possible.
Yeah it seemed like way too much of a hassle and not worth potentially breaking things. Easier to buy used ones.
how?
Thanks for the great video. I’m debating where do I put mine. Under the drivers seat, passenger or in my boot (trunk). Will I be annoyed that it’s just on the one side of the car if put it under 1 seat . In the boot (trunk) it’s at least in the middle of the car, but then at a cost of its further away so will it not be as good / fit fit purpose?
You're going to want them under both driver and passenger seats. If you wanted to add an additional subwoofer in the trunk, you could do that in tandem with the underseat subs.
Just a question what part number is the premium sound system subs for the e90x m3?
No idea. You'll have to Google that.
Hi, is it worth upgrading standard floor subs to harmon kardon ones without having a hk amp?
I would say yes, its still worth upgrading.
Oh a base hifi can you tell the difference if you just do the sub?
You can definitely tell a difference over the standard hifi. However, the best bang for the buck is the amplifier.
I wish you have played some before and after music on bavsound.
I did that on a previous BavSound video and then got flagged for copyright stuff. So I didn't want to chance it on this install series. The difference is HUGE going from the base setup to the BavSound setup. Also, video doesnt do justice of how it sounds in person anyway. Even from my previous video, its hard to tell the clarity and extra bump that you get from the subwoofers.
$650 for a pair of small underseat subwoofers though!!! You could buy some insane speakers and an amp for that price. They're crazy overpriced
ib bmw e92 335i has underseat subw too? 2009 year
Yes there are underseat subs
What size is the new one 8in
Same size as stock
Can these be installed if I already cut the stock harnesses?
If you still have the wiring down there, I'm sure that you can ghetto-rig it together. Its just one plug, so maybe even wire tying them together would be sufficient.
why would you cut a stock harness instead of just leaving it in there and tucking it away?
Hello, what you think about selling those speakers you got from ebay?
